One more. They'd been searching all this afternoon with no luck today. One had been close, but escaped when he'd noticed one of the hunters peeking out from behind the corner.
It'd been a dry morning, but Ami wasn't showing the slightest sign of disappointment. She still had two excellent specimens back on the island- these ones she was hunting today were just extras.
"Hello? Anyone there?" she called again. The men were in position, once more. She was mentally telling them to not ******** this one up as well. "Anyone at all?"
Ami was dressed in her trainee's coat, looking entirely helpless in the haunted house. It was a strategy that had grown somewhat stale, but still proved to be relatively effective.

Xaejil, perhaps, was becoming careless and headstrong in her desperation. Her time at school had so far done nothing for her longterm goals besides reinforce that she was indeed superior and most Halloween residents were foolish, furry idiots. The only information she'd gained on the white-coated reapers was that they weren't reapears at all. They were some sort of subspecies of human. Where did that information lead her? No where really. No where that any other student was. It frustrated the ghoul to be on even keep with others when it was just so clear that she was above them. Perhaps the Haunted House had sensed this from her, or perhaps it was happenstance that led her to be one it's next 'victims'. The petite demon walked through it's ever changing hallways with a look of disgust permanently etched into her features. "Hello? Anyone there?"A voice drifted to her down a long hallway and though she said nothing, Jil pursued it. She emerged into a plain room, grey as a rainy day, with a cieling that disappeared into rumbling thunderclouds. They made the noises of weather but nothing happened. "Anyone at all?"Jil didn't have anywhere to hide on her half of the room though random bits of rubble surrounded the outskirts. "Who are you?" She scowled, lips raising to reveal razor sharp teeth at the white coated figure. "You are a hunter.." Obviously.

Bingo.
In her mind Ami was grinning from ear to ear, but externally she continued portraying the fear-riddled lost girl. "Y-Yes, but I'm lost," she conceded. Vulnerability always welcomed blind trust. "I'm really s-sorry, I won't hurt you, I'm just trying to get home."
Her voice begged for Xaejil's mercy, her eyes watching the demon closely for her reaction. This would be the deciding moment.

"I don't care if you are lost." She actually barked a laugh now, a hollow shrill sound without humor. She was tempted to pull off her gloves and blast this hunter but her other self chimed in. Usually her two minds were in agreement but now there was a differing opinion. It told her to help this hunter. It told her to find the entrance to their home. What better intel could she get than that? Jil hadn't approached any further but did now. "But I do not want you near my home. So perhaps we should backtrack to where you came from."

"Th-That is understandable!" Ami replied. In her mind she had already calculated that the monster wanted to find some kind of information from the island. Luckily, it wouldn't get the chance.
She nodded and somewhat more confidently said, "I think its this way!" Ami pointed down a hallway and began walking that way. "C-Can I ask your name?" Just a few steps more to the corner where Lex and Evan were ...

Xaejil was over confident. She had constant vigilance on her side, many eyes gazing simultaneously in every direction gave her a sense of security that was probably unfounded. "No you may not." She hissed with narrowed eyes and followed a few paces behind, though her gloves were removed anyway and unseen by the hunter, eyes opened in her palms ready for a fight that she wasn't sure would come.

"Oh. Um. Okay. Mine is Mary!" These fake names she kept giving were so obvious it was a wonder no one caught on. It was a good thing the human race had a lot of common names.
Finally she was around the corner, wherein Lex and Evan were waiting.
Hopefully nothing would mess up now ...

The haunted house. Here he was yet again. The reaper let out a sigh, shaking his head to himself. Daggers were called out to his hands, ready for any signs of trouble. And it didn't take too long. As he quietly made his way through the hall, he soon heard a pair of voices. One was stammering, claiming to be lost, while the other was somewhat more abrasive. They were getting closer too. Narrowing his eye, he looked around the corner he stood by, only to see two familiar hunters lurking. If that wasn't bad enough, he also recognized the weapon the two of them wielded. Net guns. Then, a third hunter had turned the corner. It didn't take a whole lot to see that this was a trap. It just wasn't one meant for him. He didn't know who they were trying to lure, but it didn't matter. This was reminding him too much of what had happened with Mitsu. Gritting his teeth, he shadowstepped into the middle of the three all of the sudden. The daggers had temporarily been dismissed as he reached out for one of the hunters by either the gun or arms to try and throw him into one of the others. "Damn fool is walking right into a ******** trap. Run," he urged. He hadn't seen the student yet, but he really didn't care who it was. Granted, handling three hunters on his own were not good odds in the slightest. Three first year students at the same time was rough enough, and hunters were typically better fighters than them. Well then. She was honestly surprised creatures hadn't attacked them thusfar. She had been prepared for this sort of thing.
The moment she saw a disturbance in the form of a black haired creature tossing Evan into Lex, the plan changed. The outcome would still be the same, of course, but gears had to be changed out for new ones.
She summoned Junpei and stabbed backwards, sweeping the glaive low to trip the tiny demon girl. Shun was certainly a threat but if they let Xaejil get away, the entire mission was compromised. "Lex, get the demon netted at all costs," she barked. "Evan, be a sun."
In a moment or two she would help him, of course, but the demon's capture was her perogative.

First another student appeared, a reaper, who dared to order her away. "Fool!" She hissed, "YOU KNOW NOTHING!" Scum. Near-human scum was what he was. Jil didn't want a rescue or interference of any kind. What was the big idea? Of course then the true human scum revealed it's true intentions. Jil was hit hard, cursing the legs she was forced to have. The strike was so hard they felt almost cleaved off but it was enough for her that she simply cursed in some dark language and tossed her skullpin away. What had been a petite, almost cute girl, became a hovering mass of tentacled eyeballs, dripping sharp teeth, and lazer eyes. Yes. Lazer eyes. Right at Ami. HP: 17/30 Dmg: 1

Things had been going well for their little group--almost too well, and so it figured that, eventually, something was going to go wrong. If Evan had hoped for it, it wasn't because he wanted Ami's mission to fail, but it gravely offended something inside of him that they were keeping these things alive. He understood why, of course, and might have pitied the monsters for falling under Ami's tender care if they didn't deserve to die anyway. Mostly, he was bored. He had been ordered to come along on the off chance that he needed to kill something, and so far he hadn't been allowed to kill so much as a dustbunny. He was almost happy when another creature dropped in on their little party. That became outright joy as he saw it was that a*****e from the tower, the one Chel had betrayed him to defend. Maybe today was going to turn out to be a good day after all. Evan didn't need Ami's orders to push himself away from Lex, the net gun pocketed in favor of the sword that manifested in his hands. Gir's low snarl was echoed by Evan as he lunged, blade-first, towards the monster's blind side, putting himself firmly between it and the other Hunters. Lex was never truly a fan of a mission going by without hiccup. If movies, pop culture, and general Deus Ex experience had taught him anything, it was that the perfect mission did not exist. There were always bumps along the road, some sort of wall they had to break through. Their wall came in the form of a Reaper, a slightly notorious one at that. Lex never bothered to know the name of the one eyes, dagger wielding thing, but he'd seen him enough on the battle field to know that this Halloween denizen was dangerous.
Evan was shoved off him as much as the other man himself pushed away from Lex. This was no time for petty squabbling or talk of misdeeds. Ami took control easily, and Evan was already beginning his assault. Lex's orders were clear - catch the Demon.
The mass of eyes and flesh sickened him, brow and upturned lips blatantly advertising the feeling. He cared not if she could see him coming at the moment - the sooner this thing was restrained, the sooner it would go back to something with a visage more tolerable. He aimed and pulled the trigger, hoping for the best.

She cursed darkly again with a monstrous guttural voice. The beholder now confirmed her knowledge that these humans needed to be annhiliated. The rage started overwhelming the logical, tactical part of her of her minds. She wanted information, but this would not be the time. Jill had much better maneuverability in this form and avoided the net swiftly. One of her many eye stalks fired towards the offending hunter. She almost wanted to fire at Shun as well, for his stupid interference, but the numbers were more in their favor with him present. too many people - everyone

Lex grunted when the laser hit his shoulder, regardless of the FEAR shield. Shared pain was pain none the less, and he nor Regal was too happy about the sting.
< Fire again. >
Steeling himself, Lex pulled the trigger once more on the demon. They had to bag this thing quickly, and then hopefully portal the hell out. Or make the Reaper dissipate. Evan would like the second option, he was sure.

"Says the one who was walking blindly into a hunter's net. Do you want to be taken or are you just that stupid?" Shun snipped right back at the demon. Ungrateful little s**t. He had half a mind to just kill the girl himself to be done with this 'rescue' attempt. He wasn't dismissing that option just yet. The one who had argued with Chel had swapped weapons, and so he turned his attention to the one that was firing the net gun at the demon. He had already managed to fire off a few shots, but that didn't stop the reaper from rushing in and aiming to slash down at the hunter's wrists. He knew he wouldn't be able to make him bleed. Not yet. But perhaps he could at least cause some pain that'd make using his weapons a little more difficult. HP: 56 Damage: 10 Target: Lex SoS Charge: 2/3
