Hobbies: Violin - Annaliese started violin in a mandated music class when she was in fourth grade. Initially she felt indifferent toward it, but with natural aptitude and steady encouragement from her teacher, Annaliese blossomed as a musician and learned to perform solo on various stages throughout her school career. She pursued it in college as well, in joining with a quartet arranged informally among students. And now that she graduated, Annaliese practices in her own home relatively consistently, and occasionally surfs around for bands or orchestras in need of a stand-in violinist. Due to her job, she lacks the flexibility to commit to a recurring violin gig, but it doesn't stop her from indulging in the hobby.
Writing - Annaliese loved poetry for many years, often reading books of it beneath a large oak tree on warm summer days. As an adult, she was whisked through the gambit of exceptions, rules and styles inherent in poetry and now practices it herself, writing informally of moments that inspired her. Often poetry serves as a means for her to loose feelings in an abstract manner, or chronicle events in a way not widely obvious. Mostly she contains her writing to journals highly decorated in floral patterns and stored on a bookshelf in her sun room, but she's not averse to writing on the go with scraps of papers from coffee shops or flyers for new houses.
Hiking - With a love of nature and an upbringing surrounded by it, Annaliese enjoys the occasional weekend trip into the nearby trails, along rivers or through thick forests. Often times she'll take her journal with her, jotting down the fleeting inspirations wrought from observing a branch heavy with snow, or sunlight filtering through the thin, vibrant film of trees. When on a hike, she prefers to stop and picnic at least once in the midst of a trail, usually accompanied by a fellow nature lover or friend. And when hiking near water, she'll bring her Alaskan Malamute, Silverstein. He much enjoys the crisp water for baths and play.
Incense - Annaliese collects floral and airy incenses, and has her own share of incense burners. She owns some cones, but much prefers reeds for their aesthetic. She also owns an incense coil from her father's trip to east Asia, but never burns it. Mostly she settles for collecting the incense, usually stored throughout her home in an aesthetic manner, and most often burns it in the bathroom. When out and about, she likes to frequent incense shops to restock her supplies and chat with other customers or the clerks at the desk. She much prefers aromatherapy incense over typical blends. Additionally, if she discovers a scent she particularly enjoys, she'll buy a second set of it to part out to others as small thank you's for friendship, patronage, or simple courtesy.
Virtues:Warm -- Annaliese learned long ago that most animals react positively to a warm and enthusiastic reception, and endeavored to emulate this behavior until it became finely ingrained into her personality. Annaliese is all smiles in person, with strangers or with friends, often giving hugs and positive reinforcement whenever possible. Her immediate reaction when passing someone on the street is to smile at them, and offer a wave to those she spots in the distance. Annaliese loves to acknowledge others, in their kindnesses or simple existence.
Gentle -- Annaliese treads gently around others, primarily out of basic respect owed to another living being. She speaks in softer tones, holds herself in an unimposing disposition, and endeavors to avoid triggering or charged phrases that might offend another. She never corrects harshly, resorts to a harsh temper, or scolds another when she can avoid it. If asked, she prefers to handle interaction with others as if they were made of glass. Even her touch when petting her dog is soft and eased.
Nurturing -- As an LCSW and a believer in her Cancer horoscope, Annaliese absolutely adores taking care of others, be it through offering a warm meal, lending an ear, or even paying house visits in the dead of night to help a friend cope with loss. She enjoys watching others grow and take shape as their own healthy individual, and her job often feeds into that desire. Annaliese prefers to nurture those close to her, or those she feels harbor no ill will toward her intents to help them along. While she might not be seen assisting murderers behind bars, she still lends her instinct to care for others toward halfway houses with addicts standing on shaky legs, or the elderly in desperate need of company.
Flaws: Intrusive -- Annaliese doesn't always catch the hint, so individuals partial to solitude often find themselves put upon by her consistently nosy behavior, with her occasionally shoving free food toward them or checking in constantly without her allowing them to withdraw. Her frequent check-ins aggravate others, and often encourage them to start pushing her away just to grasp a scrap of free time. It's not something she consciously recognizes, and if brought up, Annaliese often brushes it off as someone else trying to withdraw into unhealthy habits rather than indulge their need to socialize.
Self-Doubt -- While certain of others' potential, Annaliese constantly wonders if she's doing enough, or if she's overreaching her abilities and boundaries. Often times her questioning turns up in her writing, and she will vocalize her insecurities to close friends. However, no matter how much encouragement she receives or how much effort she puts out, she still wonders if she's truly offering anything to the world around her. While it hasn't taken deep root in her yet, Annaliese wonders when it's going to be her turn on the couch while she conveys her issues to the one in the chair.
Forgettable -- Because she's so soft and gentle, Annaliese does not stand out in a crowd. She mentions nothing offensive or dresses in an eye-catching manner, which leads to a very vanilla appearance. And since she doesn't often speak over others, she typically isn't even recognized in large crowds or events catering to the bold. Additionally she won't make the first move, which paints her in a passive light. Overall Annaliese fades into the background at a remarkably quick pace, providing a mediocre experience for someone looking for a more boisterous individual.

Eyes: Zaffre, expressive, large.
Hair: Similar to the curly style
here, but with just one large corkscrew on either side of her head. Her bangs should be cut slightly asymmetrically. Strawberry blonde in color.
Face: No scars or freckles, heart-shaped. Usually smiling.
