Personality:
YOLO: Gloria is a live in the moment type. She acts first, thinks later, regrets never. (almost never anyway). She takes life as something that you can't waste devoted to any one person or thing, and much less, without risks. Titans are real, poverty is real. Rape, theft, shits real, s**t stinks, so go out and do what makes you happy. Hey if that means going and banging some dude go for it? Just don't be a d**k. Live your life like you want just really, don't be a d**k about ******** WALLISTS: She's an emotional juggernaut and judgmental so much she might as well carry around a megaphone to tell you just exactly what she thinks about that shitty sun dress you got. Her hate isn't so much hate for anyone, and her judgements can be swayed over time. Wallists however, are the exception. She loathes them, their message, and is willing to go to great lengths to make them miserable. In this she says they are her 'don't be a d**k rule exception'. ******** wallists man.

Yo Imma let you finish but: Fast moving, fast talking, Gloria has no filter, and has no foresight. She leaps into things, be they actions, plans, discussions, stupid ideas like making a giant paper titan head and having it hang outside a window just for kicks. Does she care if she offends? Not that much. Life is offensive. Get over it.

Don't hate the player hate the game: Gloria sees herself as a product of society. She rarely will admit to wrongdoing and take responsability of her actions and will often shift blame onto others. Just the same, when others do much like she does, she won't so much hate them as their action- they're just as much victims of the world as she is, and in that sense, any who fight the good fight in here eyes are comrades.

LOUD NOISES: Gloria has been in prison several times. Gloria has gotten out several times in various ways. Gloria escaped being sent to the corps no less than 8 times. Gloria is a thorn in people's side and is happy to be there. If anything, she is tenacious and hellbent on doing what she feels she has to do. Or wants to do.
She still ended up caught and sent to the corps in the end however.

Just a small town girl living in a lonely world: Product of her own life, Gloria does feel often that she was left for empty words and promises. She lashes out and yet craves attention. She does know deep down that she's messed up, that she's brought a lot of her own pain onto herself- But to her, she can't see it that way. She wants to have freinds, real ones, she wants to be able to trust people but she feels she can't. She feels that she lost her own humanity a long time ago, and hasn't ever quite gotten it all back since.

History:
Born to a rather poor baking couple in the Sina wall, she lived a very poor life, not having much but getting by. She wasn't unhappy with her life though. She had more than kids on the streets, she had a home, food, she even had a pet cat!

Until her mother started listening to wallists.

Her mother had always been a rather skittish woman, fearful of everything. So when Titan attacks started rising- so did her fear. So did the lure of faith in a force and power within the walls. Gloria's mother became a believer and began to convert Gloria's father, though young Gloria didn't really see the lure of the church- of the idea the wall was magic.
Then again, she also didn't see her mother becoming devoted, become fanatical- becoming so in love with the minister's words that she'd begun in affair with him. All for the sake of the wall.

Finding out of his wife's affair yet not with who, Gloria's father confronted her mother, who lashed out and left them both for the 'church'. Namely the priest she'd been enamored with. Wracked with guilt, shame, and just a general lack of feeling his manly worth, Gloria's father didn't know what to do. He was at wit's end, titans were getting in, his wife left him, he couldn't run the bakery by himself. He sought help. Unwittingly, from the same man who his wife had left him for. The same man who told him to sacrifice his life for the wall.

And he did not too long after. Slit his throat right there against the stone.

Gloria had been 14.

Parents dead, bakery ready to be taken from her, Gloria did what Gloria thought best. Take everything, sell it, run. Maybe not in that order but close enough. She eventually did manage to find her mother and her lover- and she wasn't too shocked to find her mother wanting nothing to do with her, compiled the fact her mother had been ditched by her lover, was pregnant, homeless, starving- Gloria had lost faith in her. Her mother's lover also helped remove her last hopes in humanity, attempting to seduce her as he'd done with her mother.
Yeah, she thought it was gross too.

Since then Gloria lived on her out out of her bag. Doing anything to get by. There was work, always work, for cheap labor. For a pretty face.
Gloria grew to hate humanity, to hate the church that had ruined her life, and in a way, herself as well. She adopted her mantra to live free, die running. Crime wasn't crime. She was just a blip, nothing but an abandoned face in a crowd. From theft, assault, prostitution, vandalism, harassment- Gloria did whatever she wanted. Laws be damned. She hated the world, let it hate her back, she figured she'd die anyway.

So by the time the police caught her for the 9th time, (this one being for writing a pun on the wall. 'What did the priest call his son? WALLter'), Gloria just kind of said ******** it and accepted that she was bound for the corps anyway, might as well get it over with.

I think at this point, joining the corps is entirely optional and the military isn't dredging the prisons searching for able-bodied people to throw into the ranks. The titans are still out there but the walls are secure and there isn't any infiltration just yet.
