Situated directly beside the council building, a plot of land has been cleared and marked out for a moderately large building, spanning at least twenty feet in all directions. The land has been cleared, and several men can be found working in the area cutting and laying stone for the foundations and floor. A billboard beside the building site proclaims that anyone delivering materials to the site will be paid for their trouble in coin and mission credit.
Material Collection Mission Rank: E Information: The council have approved construction of a building in the village by request of the village chuunin, but included a clause that the wood for the construction must be collected by the academy students, not the builders, and they could not be told what the building was to be. In return, the students taking part receive E ranked mission credit for their labor, including pay. How-To-Do: After reading the billboard at the building site, those partaking in the mission must travel to the forest clearing thread. [Building Site > Village Gates > Forest Clearings] In the clearing, they must make one full post collecting bamboo and creating a bundle, which can then be carried back to the construction site. This post cannot include arrival or departure from the thread. Each bundle must be made of strong lengths of bamboo, twenty feet in length, and weigh a total of fifty pounds, with twenty lengths of bamboo. (Weight is probably not scientifically accurate. Sue me.) Each bundle delivered is counted as one mission completed. Note: The construction needs at least Fifty bundles to be completed. Each character may only deliver two bundles per real life day. Characters may deliver multiple bundles at a time, if they are strong enough to carry them. When all bundles have been delivered, the construction will be completed.

Arriving at the site for the second time in as many hours, Segare couldn't help but whistle, impressed at the rate the civilian builders worked. Only two hours ago he'd arrived at the request of his chuunin to speak with the foreman of the building team, an approved the construction. In that time they had already cleared the brush and laid out markers for the outer walls. The brush in the area was garbage, unfortunately, so couldn't be used for the actual project, but that worked out well for his own plan. Some of the students had been complaining of having little to do outside of lessons, particularly those who hadn't taken to hunting. Others around the village were complaining of some students causing mischief in their free time. This, he thought, would kill two birds with one stone. Get the students put to work delivering bamboo for their new building, and they would have something to spend their time one, stopping all the complaints at once. Not telling anyone what the building was to be was just for his own amusement. He remembered being a kid and loving the mystery of unknown things. Theories and conspiracies would be flying about between the village children within a few hours once they noticed the place going up.
Smiling to himself, Segare settled himself on a rock near the site and pulled a book from his pocket, settling down to read, and watch the workers. It was often fascinating to see how civilians worked, not having the benefit of chakra to make their job easier. The methods they used to ease their labor where a ninja would just add chakra could also be adapted by the same ninja to make their own moves that much more powerful, though few ninja bothered to realize that, as many saw the civilians as being beneath them. Another field in which the civilian born ninja had an advantage he supposed. It was really surprising how many of those there were once you started looking. The clans would be horrified if they ever saw his lists. Segare chuckled at the thought, before delving into his reading. He had some time before he needed to be anywhere, and this was close enough to his office that anyone looking should find him easily enough.

Sighing as the light dimmed to where he could no longer read without straining his eyes, Segare looked up to see the sun had finally dipped out of sight beyond the horizon. A glance towards the work site revealed that the workers had mostly quit for the day, many having left and only a few remaining to secure their tools and equipment for the night. Unfortunately, it seemed none of the potential genin had come by today, so they were already running short on materials. Hopefully that would change by tomorrow, and the materials would start coming in. Today's academy lesson had been a bit taxing, so the kids had likely all gone home or out to practice alone. The lesson tomorrow would be more basic, Luo was planning a review of the techniques he'd taught so far if he remembered correctly. If all went well the kids shouldn't be too tired after that, and they were all certainly going to be glad for a chance to make some easy cash. He'd noticed some were starting to look a bit thin around the edges, the same ones who didn't do much of their own hunting and couldn't afford to buy meat from the local hunters, who didn't exactly sell cheap.
Yawning, Segare climbed off his rock and stood. Briefly he considered going home for the night, but remembered that he'd had some paperwork he was supposed to get done today. Rin would be furious if he delayed her budget proposals again, not to mention the paperwork for borrowing village scrolls for the academy, and the paperwork to make this new building official. Yes, best not delay it. Yawning again, Segare set off at a leisurely pace towards the council building, and his office.

"Oi, What's going on here?" Tomoki said playfully as the workers looked up at him and laughed. He was walking toward them with a familiar glint in his eye, the look of someone who wanted to spar, but no one in their right mind would actually fight him, at least no one on his level. Inexperienced though he was, he was probably stronger than a large portion of the workers, or at the very least, as strong. Though his strength, was his only main strong suit. He was kinda fast, but still not nearly as fast as he was strong. And then... Well, he was kind of an idiot. Spinning one arm to stretch his shoulder out he continued to advance until he was standing next to one of the workers. "So you guys need any help or something? This thing's been here for ages." He said smirking with devilish glee at the mirthful look the worker gave him.
"Yeah, go grab us some Bamboo, the information's over there on that billboard." The worker said, raising a mallet to tap a stone into place for the foundation and pausing a moment to notice that Tomoki's foot was near the stone he was going to tap down. Another mirthful smile crept across his face, and an evil glint came to his eye as he brought the mallet down on Tomoki's big toe while he wasn't looking, then immediately brought it down on the stone to begin tapping it lightly into place.
"Yeeouch!" Tomoki said, hopping in one place holding his foot. He fell backward onto his bottom and stared at eye level to the worker. "You did that on purpose..." He muttered, tears lightly streaming down his cheeks as he cradled his foot and whimpered. "Fine, I'll get you your stupid bamboo, you didn't have ot crush my toe..." He said playfully as he let go of his foot. He laid on his back and swung his legs in an arcing manner, popping his torso off the ground, then using his core muscles once his feet hit the ground to raise his torso above them ending in a crouched motion. "Kinda bites that I can only bring in two bundles per day..." Tomoki said, sounding kind of down trodden as he stood up and began to walk away. "I wanted to bring all fifty to you so you'd never get to go home." He said, a hint of spite in his tone as his joyfully hissed those words to the worker who simply started laughing as Tomoki walked away.

Hinote Edit: Just a minor note, but the earliest (And currently latest) this post can happen is the second day of construction, since the first day has already been noted to have ended with no student notice. So, "This thing's been here for ages." is pretty much automatically inaccurate. Not a major note, just worth mentioning chronologically.
