After his uplifting visit to his old friend and colleague, Étoile had returned to his apartment to prepare for work. He quickly refreshed himself and grabbed his lab coat before heading to the laboratory. He also grabbed a flash drive. He had decided to continue working at the lab, even after relocating to Dr. Light's neighborhood. From here he could slowly filter scientific information to Light and the more sane rebels.

Walking into the lab and greeted several of the lab assistants, he quietly carried on his work, mapping the night sky and documenting the various stars above. Heh. He thought of the irony that his own name was the French word for star. None of the assistants noticed the small flash drive Étoile had plugged into the computer, which sat quietly copying the knowledge they had gathered through the years, about the composition of stars, meteors, and comets.

After his shift came to it's end, he collected his coat, flash drive, and a few stray samples of metals taken from the mines and meteors recently. A small start, but a start.
