Welp. Laine knew one thing for sure as she sprinted towards the door. She had cursed them. For sure, with out the slightest doubt. Laine laughed as she warpped her arms around herself and tried not to shiver. "Guess I spoke too soon huh?" The skies seemed to have just opened as they made their way back to Kor's place and the pair was effectively soaked from head to toe. Normally she wouldn't mind... But her dress had been clingy before all the rain, and now it was just clingy and cold. Never a fun combination. "I probably look like a raccoon..." She commented. "A blue, water logged raccoon." Man, drying her hair was going to suck. Oh well... atleast it was braid. She wouldn't have to worry to much. Laine glanced at the sky as she huddled in the door way. "Guess it's kinda pointless to wonder if it will let up huh?"

Kor fumbled with his keys, hands slipping on the metal and he clicked his tongue impatiently at himself. Finally opening the door, the blast of cold air chilled him to the bone and he just shuddered hard and heavy as he ushered her inside and practically sprinted to his bathroom to grab towels. He threw the fluffiest one at her before he finally spoke. "A c-cute raccoon though," he muttered into the towel drying his face first and then moved to turn the air conditioner down. It would be cooler now that it's rained and he just whined under his breath. "I don't think it'll stop any time soon.. Uh, feel free to use my shower to get warmed up? I've got clothes in my closet... You can wear whatever. If you want shorts I got those in the middle drawer of my dresser..." Even as he spoke he peeled off his soaking wet shirt and padded into the kitchen to toss them in hid washer. "I'll wash your clothes.. and throw shoes in the dryer after?" Ugh his house was a mess. There were clothes piled on the couch he didn't get to sort yet, dishes in the sink, on the table. It didn't stink or anything, he'd used the dishes for breakfast and bolted out the door when he realized he was going to be late. "So yeah uh.. Make yourself at home, I guess?"

She tried really hard not to snicker as he fumbled with his keys. He was adorable when he was rushing. Laine caught the towel face first with a muffled squeak of surprise before blinking at him. As she began to dry herself off, her lips as he stuttered and shivered from the cold. Poor guy was probably miserable right now. "I think you need it more then me Babe. I can wait a few minutes while you get warmed back up." Plus she really didn't want to get her hair wetter then it already was. She made a small humming noise as she listened, glancing about and making a small note of what room was where and what hallway led to what rooms. "Sounds like a plan to me. ...I just hope the storm doesn't cause a power failure." She really hoped she didn't just curse them. Again. "Go get warmed up. I can find some blankets if you're still cold."

Snickering when he was trying to get them both out of the rain and warm was rude. He would have stated as much but whatever. He got them inside and Kor was so thankful his air was easy to switch off, and quick, too. Shivering a little more he just bit down on his lip and shook his head. "You go first. You're a lady after all." He grabbed her by her wrists, gently, always gently, and pushed her towards his room. "You can wear whatever. As long as it's not a suit, you can wear it." Nothing he had came from old boyfriends. At least... Nothing in his closet. There was one piece of history he wasn't about to let go of. Either way, Kor just left her in his room and grinned. "I have a hair dryer. Use it. Extra tooth brush and you can use my hairbrush. It's all in the medicine cabinet! Towels are in the drawers under the sink, along with rags. Uuuuh, I think that's it." Kor wanted her to shower because he wanted to clean.

"Darling, why would I swear a suit of all things. ....You know what. Don't answer that. I've heard weirder." She said as she was ushered into the room. "Oh my god no!" She pleased. "Do you know how long it's going to take me to dry my hair?! Even with a dryer?" Laine really should get it cut some day ...Nah. "Fine fine.. I'm going." Laine sulked. "I don't wanna hear it if you catch a cold." Laine waved him off to go do whatever it is he was gonna do. "I've got this hun. I'll figure it out as I go." -- A few minutes later and Laine was in and out of the shower. She had run a brush through her hair (marvelously, it never cooperated when wet.) And was now on the long task of drying it. ....Or atleast getting it fluffed. Fortunately, by the time she got through half of her hair, she was at the point where enough of it was 'dry' that she wouldn't be bothered by what was still left. She could always just towel and air dry the rest. "Shower's free." Laine chimed as she walked out. The teen had somehow managed to find one of Kor's only button down shirts and had stolen a pair of his boxers. The white haired girl rolled her eyes with a smile as she noted he had cleaned up. "Kor, babe. Go take a shower. Your place looks amazing."

During her shower and hair drying process he did clean. Bottles were cleared, laundry put away, dishes done. Yep, Kor wanted this place clean. He would have done it if she was here or not. At least this way it would probably go appreciated. He was brewing some coffee because he didn't have tea and just prayed it did the trick in warming him up a bit. You know what? It did. When she walked out, Kor was watching some TV show and sipping on his coffee. Then he heard shuffling from behind the couch and turned to look at her. If this was a cartoon Kor would have done a literal spit take. She was swimming in his button down, seeing how it was slipping off her shoulder a bit, coupled with beautifully slender legs and that hair. Laughing to himself, Kor put the coffee down and then wandered over to her, draping his arms over her shoulder before giving her the tiniest little chaste kiss. "Careful, someone might think you lived with me," he murmured right against her ear before wandering off to the bathroom in time for a clasp of thunder. Thankfully with his curtains you couldn't see the lightening. Kor's work schedule demanded that he had black out curtains, otherwise the sun would wake him up and he'd be super cranky. "Coffee in the pot. Help yourself to the fridge." With that he wandered into the bathroom after giving her one long suffering look and then sighed.

"...What?" She asked, shifting the slightest bit when he turned and stared. Her own arms wrapped around his waist as she blinked, looking down at the clothes she wore. "...And the issue there is?" Let people think what they want. It's not like they wouldn't see a lot of each other anyway. Especially with Laine now working for Kor. "Shower. Now. Oh no, don't give me that look. Go warm up!" She ordered, more like laughed as she went to go make her own cup of coffee before curling up on the couch. She released a slow breathe, thankful for the dark curtains that blocked out the insipid lightning.

If Laine were to look around, she'd notice a lack of any kind of photo of himself or friends and family. He didn't have any photos at all hanging up. There were framed pictures of men and women in tattoos, sighed posters of a few bands he liked, but his apartment was simple, completely uncluttered. However, every single outlet on every wall there was a night light. The bathroom light stayed on, there were flashlights strategically placed in case of a power outage. Kor's shower actually took a shorter amount of time than hers. Washing his dreads didn't happen. The drying process alone would eat up most of his time spent in the bathroom. But after a good thirty minutes, twenty of which were him drying his hair, Kor stepped out in a pair of sweat pants and that was it. He had a few scars on his chest, some that looked like they used to be deep wounds, some littered his stomach, but it wasn't over all bad looking. More thunder cracked and the wind whipped outside. "Good God, that's getting bad," he murmured, peeking out of a curtain really quick. Just as he was turning to look at Laine, towel over his shoulders, the lights flickered and Kor tensed. Aw, crap. "...A...anyway..."

The lack of pictures involving friends and family didn't bug Laine. He had told her the story. It made sense that there were none. Now, the tattoos showing off his work made her smile. He really loved what he did. That much was evident. The nightlights drew attention but Laine chalked it up to Kor not wanting to stumble into something in the middle of the night and bash his leg against something. She hated when that happened. Laine looked over at him when she heard him enter and for a moment her gaze rested on the scars on his torso. She wondered for a moment, how they happened and what caused them, but she knew that was a story for another time. He'd tell her when he was ready, and if he didn't want to tell her, then that was okay too. "I guess it's a good thing I'm here then." Otherwise she would have been walking home in this and that would have had not only her and Kor worried, but her parents as well. The white haired girl blinked glancing from him to the lights around them before returning her gaze to him again. "...You okay hun? Feeling warmer?"

He waited a few more moments, just to see if the power would go off and then made his way back to the couch to sit next to her, making sure not to step on the miles of hair she had. There was a lot of hair, Christ. How did she not constantly have headaches? "Yeah. I'm good." As long as the lights stayed on he'd be good. Carefully, he reached out to push some of her hair off her shoulder and just toyed with it. The white strands were soft and pretty. "Do you use a whole bottle of shampoo and conditioner? .....I mean I knew it was long, but this Laine?" Kor laughed a little and just shrugged. Before long, he snatched her coffee, sipped at it and then snorted before handing it back to her with a cheeky look. "Warm enough?"

The teen had been about to call his name again when he finally spoke. Laine shook her head, making the white strands wave and ripple almost like a see of white. "Nah... I just hafta be careful with how I do it. Lots of scrubbing is involved but... After years I've kinda got it down pat." She smiled, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. "Yeah.. I know it's pretty long.. I've thought about cutting it, but... I'm not sure how much I would cut. And at that point.. it would feel a bit weird being 'short'." Laine watched as her coffee got snatched up before snorting herself. "I'm beginning to think you like stealing my drinks mister. But yeah, I'm warm enough. I can usually handle both warm and cold weather." Wet weather didn't count.

Her hair moving like that had caught his attention, but touching it was almost better than watching. "...I wouldn't want you to cut it. Well I mean I wouldn't cut it if I were in your shoes. Who knows, I might be. I haven't unlocked my hair in like.. twenty years? So who knows how long it is..." Now he was curious. Kor pulled a dread forward and examined it before shrugging. Honestly it probably isn't all that long. A lot of it was dead hair. "What if I do like stealing your drinks? I'm to lazy right now to get my own. I'm cooling down after my too hot shower." One of his hands dropped to her thigh, tentively, to see how she was going to react to that. He would have done something like gave it a squeeze, only the power went off and Kor let out a yelp when it did and didn't come back one. Ooooh no. No no no. Nope. Not happening. Kor swallowed and looked around, realizing it was pitch black in his house. s**t s**t s**t. "U..Uh..." His hand withdrew from Laine's thigh and the man reached out along the coffee table, feeling for a lighter, flashlight, just anything that would make light and he cursed loudly when nothing was within reach. His phone was in the bathroom because he forgot to bring it out and the noise leaving Kor's throat could only be described as distressed. Bad things happened when it was pitch black. "s**t."

"Well.. I wouldn't cut it short short ya know??" Not shoulder length short. Gods no. She'd probably loose her mind over it. "Just cut it so.. it's not dragging on the floor long." Laine then blinked at him widely. "You've had your hair bound since you were six? Damn hun! Even I undo my braid sometimes!" She laughed. Then she faked and annoyed huff and rolled her eyes. "One minute you're cold, next your hot. What am I gonna do with you?" The white haired girl chuckled lightly to herself, taking a sip of the coffee to disguise the smile on her face. Just as she set her mug on the coffee table her world went black and Kor yelped beside her. "Kor? It's just a black out." She called, her hand moving in the darkness to find him. Funny how much one relied on sight till it was taken from them. ...Even if it was just a black out. The noise caught her attention just as her fingers curled around his wrist. "...Hey..." Laine called softly, her eyes just starting to adjust. "Come here." Laine lightly tugged on his wrist as she moved to lay down on the couch. "Talk to me sweetheart." Laine murmured as she stroked the older man's hair.

He was suddenly laying on her and Kor was alright with it. He pushed his face into her stomach lightly and just curled up right there, his arms wrapping around her hips and waist, starting to shake. Lights were needed. Any kind of light. "I...I uh.. Don't.. want to talk about it yet," he whispered to her, hoping Laine wouldn't take offense to that, but it honestly wasn't first date material or... really material for anyone he'd basically just met. The once large man was now a tiny ball against her and the couch and he was just focusing on breathing. "...Do you ..have your phone? Can you turn it on or is there a light on it? I just... I need some light."

"I'm not going to make you.." Laine promised. "Just breathe sweetheart." The hand in Kor's hair stilled as the other hand wriggled under his arm and disappeared, of all places, into the boxer shorts where she pulled out her phone. "Are you gonna stay buried in my stomach all night? I can't imagine that's a comfortable angle for you." Laine said as she unlocked her phone, only to grunt when she was suddenly blinded by her phone. "******** ******** ******** that's bright. Ow ow... Okay, hold on... I gotta find it.." Stupid setting... where was it again? "Aha! Found it." She cried, and then all of a sudden a light burst from the back of the phone and Laine leaned over to set it on the coffee table beside them face down. "My phone has a flashlight built in. It works wonders when you've got little siblings." The white haired girl then reached back and tugged the blanket off the back of the couch. After a few haphazard attempts to unfold it in the dark, (she was pretty sure she smacked Kor with it atleast twice), Laine managed to get it open enough to where she was content. "Now..." She said, tossing it over him the best she could. "Are you gonna come up here so I can try and make you feel better or are you gonna stay there?" Laine didn't mind either way. She'd try her best to get him to relax where ever he decided to stay.
