One of Cee's favorite pass times was to lay on the lawn beside the training fields and watch people spar. It was less about the fighting and weapons and more about the sweaty bodies. There were straining muscles, bouncing bosoms, and some of the most varied and interesting facial expressions that she'd seen in her short life.

And so she lounged, coat underneath her like a blanket, wearing a cut off DEUS EX t-shirt that exposed her stomach and a pair of JUICY booty shorts. A large pair of sunglasses shaded her dark eyes, though they glittered with rhinestones. Oh if only she could figure out how to reflect light onto the training fields and distract the fighters. That would be fun.

"Huh?" The foreign greeting had her biting back the immediate need to correct whoever this person was and make it clear that her name was 'Cee' and not 'aro-whatever'. All it took was a dip of her sunglasses and glancing up at the muscular man for her to forget any of her impulsive rudeness.

"Well hello there.." A slow grin spread as she subtly eyed his arms. "Just catchin some sun an'enjoyin the view." Cee licked her lips lightly, "You are def contributin stranger."

"Concetta." Her named rolled with a proper italian pronunciation but she immediately amended with a wink, "But you can call me Cee."

He was a bear of a man and she liked it. Already the arms looked inviting and she wanted to grip her hands into those dreads. She was sure this fella was a whole new flavor she hadn't yet tried. But so far the social cues told her he was a good one. Not so easy to bag because of things like self-imposed 'morals'.

"So you new?" Sunglasses slid back up over her dark eyes and she straightened her posture to wit more properly with him. "Arorangi? What uhh.." she waved her hand looking for the word, "..ethnicity issat?"

Cee had no ******** idea what Maori was. To her that was just code for 'sexy as hell'. She did know of New Zealand though.

"Oh sweet I never been there! I'm from New Jersey." She grinned. "I been here like.. a couple months maybe?" That wink of his did nice things to her insides.

"You need help with anything at all?" Cee rested her hand on his arm lightly, "I'm happy ta show ya around or give you anything you need."

Cee laughed and grabbed his arm to brace herself, "Well maybe one time we kin go and I'll show ya around.. and maybe you can show me New Zealand too."

Yes lets plan vacations together, big buff man.

Cee leaned back from Aro enough to hop to her feet. She held out her arm for an escort. "I don't know errywhere but I been a couple places. Maybe we can discover some new ones."

Something about him read genuine and it made Cee want to push limits with him. Slow perhaps, but it was always worth testing.

"Oh I loooove discoverin stuff," Cee piped with a smile, "and I love company too."

Steered away from the training fields they were at a split in the path. "So what haven't you seen yet Aro? Is it Aro er.. some other nickname? We kin go to some of the buildins.. or maybe go see the towns? I only went down'ere once fer a party. It's kinda dangerous sometimes but with all the stuff goin on I think we'll be good as a couple.. heh.. PAIR." There was nothing subtle about how she said couple.

Aro it would be. It was easier and less of a mouthful. "Not a ton.. Like I think a couple? I been down'ere and some houses are fixed up, maybe like 5. Some are bein worked on though. Turns out you can't git one unless you are a full rank... but like America, you met her? America is fixin herself up a house an'when she's all ranked I guess it'll be done and she kin just move in."

The trainees had an easier time getting to towns than ever before. They didn't have any frame of reference for the fog that used to blanket the island, the treacherous shadows and lurking insanity beasts. With the towns being worked on, the path was well tread and relatively safe. Especially in the middle of a sunny day.

It wasn't long before the town spread out around them. It was still mostly destroyed, a ruin, though the inhabited section was very obvious and there were signs of use, even in the ruins. There was still spray painted lines where Bix mapped out a 'ring' for the tournament and several abandoned homes looked to have been scavenged from (possibly for the reconstruction).

"I never asked but.. you think this used'ta be bustlin?" Cee spoke softly, as if loud words would disturb the place.

Cee clung to his arm as if she absolutely needed to. But she was small and tiny and hardly seemed a burden to the larger man. There was something in her that liked to be protected by a big, strong man.

"I'm sure thur fine." She reassured. "I mean you gotta be full hunter an's**t so they are like.. strong, right?"

The schoolhouse got her attention too. It didn't look anything like any school she'd gone to, more like something from a movie about what small towns were like (though the attached gym looked much the same as any and gave her an uneasy feeling when she spied the padlocked and chained doors).

"It's crazy right? Ta think people may'a been established enough to even need a school. I can't imagine kids bein here. You think it was like a huge catastrophe'r somethin? Or just like... abandonin it?"
