It was, to be frank, a little sad. With two days left in the States, they were still assigning her Lieutenants to train. At least this one seemed fairly intelligent; young, yes, disenchanted with the world around him, yes, but--still, a worthwhile investment. She wouldn't view this as a waste of time, except there was still so very much to do to get ready for her long trip.
Avalon sighed. "No, no; you're draining him too fast. You'll kill him," she said, putting a gentle hand on the Lieutenant's shoulder. "If you're going to kill him, you'll get more energy out of his starseed." The boy grumbled, but slowed his draining of the unconscious man on the ground. Finally, he held up a ball of light for her inspection, a silvery and shining thing that she held up between them. "Good. Very good." Anthracite smiled and got up, dusting up the pale green of his uniform. At least they made an excellent matched pair, she noted.
Hm. Someone was approaching. Avalon palmed the energy into one of the pockets of her greatcoat. "Anthracite, it's time to wrap this up. I sense some signatures heading our way--have you ever had a chance to engage a Page? It might be a good time to start, my dear."
The pair of them took the rooftops towards the signatures, until they were crouching above them. "That's a Mercury page," she said, suddenly interested. What better way to get Babylon's attention than… oh, he'd been so angry when she had threatened the Page that day. He had been ignoring her since. Well, she would fix that, wouldn't she?
Avalon dropped from the rooftop, steadying Anthracite when he followed her. "Hello, Mercury page," she said. "Anthracite, you take the senshi."
