Tonight was the night. The epitome of matches. What was going to make or break this Best of Five. Going in to tonight's match, Aiden Covell was up by one. Just one, single, victory. Should he win tonight? The series would be over and Aiden would clinch the victory over an opponent who had both brought out the best of Aiden, and his opponent himself. Jake Roman wasn't going to let tonight go by easy. Aiden wasn't going to let Jake skim by with a victory in the snap of his fingers. No. Jake wanted to take away any chance of Aiden winning tonight. Aiden wanted to finish this Best of Five series, once and for all. Should Jake win, and if, Jake wins, there would be a match five. In that match, there would have to be a real exchange of blows, a real showing of maneuvers, a real testament to who has the bigger heart and a defining showing of in-ring skills. Tonight though, would be more stress on Aiden to pick up the victory and complete the circuit once and for all. All the weight of the world right now rested upon Aiden's shoulders.

Nothing he wasn't used to. As a matter of fact, AJ Warner helped him in the form of managing stress and issued weighing on his mind. As well as matters resting on his shoulders. If there was one thing Warner was good at, it was being a straight shooter. Sure, that might be a close knock at his 'suplex shooter' prior reference. But it was pure honesty. You weren't going to get bullshit from Warner. You weren't going to have anything sugarcoated. It was something Aiden had to get used to at first, but later appreciated. From joining BBW as a rookie who had major success in the indies, to being under the tutelage of AJ Warner and growing up real quick as both an in-ring performer and a man in his own right. Aiden's body was more defined and his body-fat percentage was at it's healthy minimal level. Maintaining his regular diet helped to keep his body clean and at it's peak performance. To say that AJ Warner hadn't done much to help progress Aiden's career, was a slap in the face to both men. Warner had done more than enough.

Thus when Aiden watched last week when Warner had made the unexpected announcement that he was ready for in-ring competition, Aiden was content. Content with the fact that Warner would now be back on active roster after apparently healing from a major surgery months or even weeks earlier than expected. Most likely earlier then advised. Reasoning for last weeks no-show on the roll call was as simple as, Aiden wanted to check up on Warner. To have a week off to see just how his mentor was doing, both healing and mentally. That, and Aiden needed time to himself to fully heal from prior weeks of non-stop booking and bodily punishment. Going into this match, he was feeling good. Not really any aches or pains to note. Clear headed. With the break he had taken, Aiden also found himself having personal time to ponder his further persona or career options in the ring. Where he wanted to see himself. If he felt he was contender worthy. If he saw himself as a title holder caliber. What matches he wanted to be in. If he wanted a Tag Team.

Multiple thoughts rang through the head of Aiden, but none as predominant as the match coming up now. Warner was booked for the main event, so there was a possibility Aiden could watch the match later on if he wasn't too roughed up from this match. Regardless, Aiden looked over at the audio crew from behind the curtain and signaled to him that he was ready to go. Making his entrance first this time, with a new mask and a new attitude. Soon enough, the lights in the arena went dim. The only illumination would be the stage and the lights aimed at end of the stage, right at the top of the ramp. Light blue and white laser lights would display in fool bloom, aimed collectively at the stage where fog would seen start to pour from the vents under the stage. A spotlight illumination underneath the stage, aimed upward, was shown brightly through the thickness of the fog. As soon as the fog covered up enough of a good area of the stage, Aiden would start to emerge from behind the curtain and walk towards the fog at a slow pace.

Aiden's head would slowly raise once the opening of his song had started, but would wait for the opening lyrics to blare.

                                  YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Perfect. Taking two steps forward as a hand rose to his hoodie, Aiden would toss the hood of his hoodie backwards while keeping his new mask on and quickly shoot his arms to his sides. His signature open armed, open palmed taunt. Silver sparks would pop and start to shower down behind him through a lined vent above the entrance to the 'gorilla position' as the fog would start to dissipate. Aiden would smirk as the crowd offered a few cheers, mostly drowned in boos. Clearly still not forgetting Aiden's egotistical attitude and disrespect for Jake in the matches thus far. Slowly, Aiden would lower his arms to his sides and take a moment to look at the live audience. His music would continue to blast and lyrics continued to shout through the surround sound speakers as his body moved forward towards the steel steps. Aiden was dressed in his typical ring gear from waist-down. But this time, Aiden chose not to wear a t-shirt underneath his hoodie. Additionally, having yet to take his new mask off which was as easy as a hidden zipper in the back.

                                  Do you really care?
It’s not like it matters anyway
                                  What’s going to happen here?
We’ll laugh about it all one day

"Making his way to the ring. From Charleston, South Carolina. Weighing two-hundred pounds.. Aiden Covell!"

Hey! Hey! What do you say?
                                  It doesn’t really matters
                                  Cause' it’s all the same
Hey! Hey! What do you say?
They're just gonna blame us anyway

Taking his time ascending the steps, Aiden's gloved hand would grip the middle rope and keep it gripped as he walked along the left-side apron. Taking one last look at the live audience Aiden would now grip both gloved hands on the top rope as he leaned back. Within seconds, Aiden would leap over the top rope gracefully in a display of parkour-like flexibility. Motioning for a ring attendant to come over, Aiden shrugged his black hoodie off sleeve by sleeve and reached a hand behind him to unzip his mask. Slipping it over his head and folding it up in half evenly. His always healthy body and toned abs in display simply to keep the female fans of his aroused. As the ringside attendant collected his things and laid his mask on top, Aiden took the opportunity to grip the top rope and lean back again. This time tugging on the ropes to loosen his his arms as well as raising a leg and resting the bottom of his boot on the top turnbuckle. Leaning his body forward to stretch his left leg, then repeating the process with his right. He now awaited Jake's arrival.

Technically, this was a losing streak. Perhaps one of the shortest losing streaks of all-time, but that was besides the point. This wasn't simply a match; this was a series and Jake Roman was incredibly desperate to win both after failing to secure wins after his debut. And dealing with the unwarranted stress of copyright issues with Zeppelin's music and using it as his theme, he had to spend effort on actually looking for a new theme song. No big deal. Jake Roman showed up every night with the same goal in mind, and that was kicking Aiden Covell's a**. Now that he got knocked down a few pegs after the past couple of weeks, now would be a perfect time to take advantage of Covell's potential overconfidence. After all, the almost completely-healed shoulder was still bandaged; if Aiden saw that and saw an advantage, it was an illusion. However, Jake had spent plenty of their last encounter nursing his hurt shoulder before an innovate leg submission had thrown him off guard and caused him to tap out. No worries; Jake knew how to not only make people submit, but lose the will compete far past Saturday nights. Of course, the fight had to happen in Aiden's hometown and of course he just haaaadd to have the advantage in this series. Adversity was carved into Roman's mentality since birth, so the odds might have been stacked against him, but really, he wasn't worried. Regardless of everyone else's possible doubt, none existed in Jake Roman's mind. He had a chance to kick Aiden Covell's a** two more times, and that was all the reward the kid needed.

"And introducing his opponent, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at two hundred seventy five pounds... Jake, Roman!"

The big man wasted no time getting the curtain out of his way and shooting daggers towards his familiar opponent through his mask. The crowd gave a much more mixed reaction this bout, mostly due to the fact that Covell had been born and raised in the same area as the inhabitants who filled the coliseum. Many of them didn't care about that; Jake was now the one with his back against the wall due to Aiden's abuse of BBW's rules, or lackthereof. Again, no worries. Jake was a fighter first, wrestler second. He would fight 'til the death, no matter the situation. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised if thats what it took to keep Covell down.

Clearly focused on the match at hand and more or less on how Warner was doing recently, Aiden didn't know he was home. He didn't even know that he was in his hometown and birthplace. The hospital he was born at just a few blocks away to be honest. Looking around the live audience, Aiden took into mind a few random, scattered posters that fans were holding up of his name, and other creatively designed pictures to get his attention. Nodding as he looked around, Aiden would have normally took to the second ropes of the turnbuckle and gave the crowd something to cheer and root for, if he were in the indies. Now however, Aiden was focused more on himself. However, as of recently, even that has been a debate in his head. There was something about the crowd cheering him on that made him feel.. better. Made him much more into his matches. Boos were a reaction, but not something he was used to. Thus, perhaps he needed to change his image. Regardless, Aiden still pushed his indecencies aside and awaited the sound of the ring bell.

Ding ding ding!

At the start of the bell, Jake slowly circled around the ring and looked for his openings. He had hoped for Aiden to be the one to engage so he can try to adapt to the young man's speed early on in this match. He needed to identify Covell's approach to this match and exploit it.

With the sound of the bell, both men hadn't once decided to keep their eyes off one another. Certainly for a fact, Aiden hadn't. With the factor of this match being held in his hometown, there was a minor, if not faded crowd rooting Aiden's name in the crowd. Again, Aiden chose to ignore it. The match was as personal as the one before it. Anytime both men seemed to step in the ring, it was a war. This time, Aiden felt the need to kick up his a-game. Reversals, counters to Jake's counters. Using the ropes to his advantage. Being innovative with the barricades. Incorporating the ring steps. Utilizing the ring post as he deemed fit. Whichever method Aiden was in the mood for, he would attack with tonight. However, as always, he would start to close in. More towards the center of the ring and leaned over, Aiden reached in front of him, looking as if he were grabbing at air. Inviting Jake to do the same for a finger lock, test of strength. However, Aiden would always have a bag of tricks up his sleeve no matter what the lockup was.

With as much momentum as his next step could muster, Roman went to march forward and push Covell back against the ropes in a elbow-and-collar tie up. Jake wanted to show that he was still the strong man of the two and that despite the odds being stacked against him, he wouldn't back down or play passive for Aiden's sake.

After a few moments of circling around the interior of the ring, Aiden watched as Jake proceeded forward. Accepting the collar and elbow tie up, Aiden put an adequate amount of pressure with his own strength in resistance towards the direction Jake felt necessary to guide Aiden towards. However, Aiden was eventually put with his back against the ropes, body arched backwards almost in an arc over the top rope. Mostly due to Jake's persistence in showing that he was the bigger man, maybe even the stronger one.

No time for breathers this bout. Aiden's quickness was only to be aided by the man's excess amount of stamina. Jake would look to roughen up his opponent's cardio by grabbing a hold of the second rope with both hands and trapping Covell between him and the turnbuckle. The kid didn't waste any time attempting to drive his shoulder into the area of Aiden's solarplexis.

At first, allowing Jake to have the moment to push him against the ropes seemed to be a good thing for Aiden. considering the options he had for escape and what he had in mind for a retort. However, this wasn't the case as Aiden was quickly backed against the turnbuckle and left to succumb to Jake's constant shoulders into his gut. One after the other, Aiden's torso doubled over forwardly with every successful shoulder sent his way. Grunts of discomfort and frequent puffs of breath lost from his lungs were heard everytime Jake's shoulder connected.

After about four of the same attacks on Aiden's abdomen, Jake would stand up straight. Of course, he was a good guy though, and he wasn't going to stand alone. Thus, Jake went to push Covell's chest up with his left hand to straighten the torso of his opponent and go for a stinging chop across the chest of the high-flyer.

Five shoulders. Five well connected, well measured and quite definitely well aimed shots were dented into Aiden's torso. It wasn't surprising that Aiden was currently coughing mildly due to said shots. Obviously trying to regain a steady flow of air intake. Once said shoulder shots were finished, Aiden finally felt as if he could take a breather. Or at least ,that's what he thought. Not more than a few seconds later, Jake took the opportunity to send an open palm right against the soft skin of Aiden's chest. A smack heard all around the front rows of the live audience, all the way to the stairs even. Aiden gritted his teeth through the first one. Because knowing Jake, one wasn't enough to satisfy the guy.

"Woooo!" the crowd said in unison as the impact of the chop echoed around the North Carolina Coliseum. Aiden was right; of course the big guy wasn't satisfied! But a chop was too predictable. So after his body shifted to his right after the chop, he looked to center himself out again by throwing his left elbow towards the head of Covell.

Each chop stung just as much as their prior ones had. One by one, Jake seemed to zone in on one part of his chest and light it up like a Christmas tree. Aiden gritted his teeth through the shots, biding his time and waiting for an opportunity to turn the tables. This opportunity came when it seemed as if Jake had dropped his arms for a few seconds to shift footing and focus on another part of Aiden's body. Watching as Jake armed up and tossed an elbow his way, Aiden made a last second decision to try and duck down and throw his body forward in an attempt to tackle Jake to the ground. If successful he'd capitalize with rights and lefts of his own. If not, welp. Aiden was in one hell of a precarious position.

The speed of Aiden's movements found Roman laying with his back on the mat. The wild lefts and rights harshly connected with Jake's face and temple, making a few hometown fans cheer for the high-flyer. Momentum had shifted quicker than Jake could throw an elbow, and ironically the smaller man found himself taking it to the big boy. Roman could do nothing but protect himself from any punishment coming his way for the time being.
