I'm a bit curious. There are hundreds of translations out there, some better than the others, some with more merit than others, and some better for different situations. What bible do YOU use, and why do you use it?
Please remember that this thread is for polite discussion. "Because my parents used it" is every bit as legitimate as "Because in 1843 a council of language and bible experts from spanning the globe blah blah blah". If we can not be polite and mature about this discussion, either I (as I believe I have the authority as thread creator) or someone else (who does in fact have that authority) will use the Might Hammer of Sagacious Banning.
