The pilot episode for the Book of Circus arc followed the manga almost to a T. If the information on MAL is correct it has a new team of directors doing the storyboards (not the two idiots from the previous seasons), so maybe it won't turn into a questionable animated fanfiction. That kind of strategy only works when your last name is Utsumi and the source material is from a tiny light novel about a group of kids in a swim club.

Olddd thread, but I have strong feeling about this lol. I have to say I lost faith in the anime when the random episode I watched involved this blonde Ciel doppelganger randomly gouging people's eyes out. ಠ_ಠ

It was actually a dead-on adaption of the entire circus arc that totally ignored the existence of the previous seasons. Think FMA: Brotherhood and how it pretended the anime-original ending never happened.
