She'd left him with a kiss, and a promise to meet up later that day. There were always things to do, and she had to be somewhere. Work, always work. But, by the time afternoon rolled around she was done for the day. Perks of being a Hunter. Less busy work, more... Okay. Dangerous missions were not really a perk. Still, she had time now. xx[A.V.] Text to Jake: Hey! Free now. Training fields for a little spar? xx[A.V.] Text to Jake: I miss you. Love you. And then she put her phone in her pocket, so she wouldn't check it constantly.

Jake had woken up Sherry's room with a hazy memory of what had happened last night. At least he hadn't ended up... threatening her again, but they... had... She had reassured him that it wasn't against her own will, and he had kept insisting, but... well... after all this, there really was no reason to turn down sharing a room anymore.
He should have been doing work, but he was so distracted (and perhaps a little distraught) at everything that had transpired that he hadn't even noticed his phone vibrating on his desk until Chester alerted him to it. It didn't take a lot of guessing to see who it was, and he fired off a text. After a moment, he sent another text.GrnGriff Text to Sherry: Love you too.

[A.V.] Text to Jake: Meet you there! <3 Sherry his send and then froze. Was it too much? The heart? Nah, she told herself a moment later. It really wasn't. With a sigh, Sherry pocketed her phone and headed on towards the training ground. She'd been over in the main building filing paperwork. Always paperwork. A hint of worry began to eat at her. Jake had...been a little worried this morning. She wondered if he still was. She hoped not, but... No point in dwelling. She'd find out soon enough. At least she'd had the sense to invite him out for a spar. He liked battle, it would be relaxing for both of them. Unlike Jenga or something.

Thankfully, Jake knew it wasn't a strange subliminal message about mice this time, and smiled at the emote. Well, she should be expecting him, so he probably didn't need to send a reply, and pocketed his phone before heading out to the training fields. Perhaps a spar would help keep his mind off things, and he could always use the practice anyways.

She WAS expecting him, and the moment she saw him she waved, hand high in the air. She didn't say anything until he was close enough she wouldn't have to yell.
"Hey! Glad you could make it." All smiles. "How...is your day going?" All smiles and maybe a blush. "Thanks for coming down to join me."
Sherry moved in for a hug, a quick one. Just to gauge his reaction. And because she wanted it.

Sherry seemed more cheerful than before, and Jake smiled, feeling a bit more at ease about everything. "It's been good, and of course." He hugged her back, and looked down at her, a small frown creeping back on his face. Even if she had told him everything was fine, it still nagged at him a bit, and he felt guilty, as if he had forced it. "I, uh... I'm sorry about... last night..."

Hugs were good. They meant things were right with the world, and they helped make things right.
Usually.
Sherry stepped back, frowning. "W-why are you sorry? I told you, there is nothing to be sorry about." Worry and guilt were welling up in her chest. She had done something wrong, clearly. Or he regretted it. Or both. Sherry swallowed. "Do you regret it? Be-Because I don't." It was really hard to look him in the eye, but she did. This was something she really needed to be clear on.

He hadn't meant to make her self-conscious, and he felt bad for making her upset, but it seemed... she was ok with it. At least, he hoped. "I... don't know. I'd regret it if it made you uncomfortable, and you were trying to make it seem like it didn't, but if you're sure..." Jake smiled, and touched his forehead to hers. "If you're sure, and it made you happy... then I won't regret it. I'm just... I'm sorry if I disappointed you." Really, he probably fell short of all expectations, considering his... lack of experience. He couldn't help but flush, still feeling a bit proud that he had finally done it, even if... it hadn't been wholly intentional, and had mostly been a spur of the moment.

She was glad he was so close to her, or else he'd see her blushing. "I'm sure." And Jake would find himself in one of those 'arms around the neck/shoulders' hugs. "I am happy, I'm promise. Please don't be worried." She kissed his cheek, then leaned in so she could whisper in his ear. "And you didn't disappoint me. But I'm sorry if I somehow disappointed you...I've never really..." She trailed off, not needing to say more. Things hadn't been storybook perfect, actually a fair bit awkward, but she was happy. She squeezed him tight.
"I don't regret a moment of last night." Except maybe the part where she let him try to glue bottles back together for several hours...but no harm there, really.
"So please, don't worry. I'm happy if you are." She stepped back to smile at him.
"I promised Armagnac a fight. Help me with that?"

Jake couldn't help flustering when she leaned in to whisper in his ear, and couldn't help but grin sheepishly. It was too bad he couldn't remember much of what happened last night, but the look he got that morning, well... he was pretty sure he wasn't going to forget it anytime soon. That and the cuts on his finger. Seriously, he had no common sense that night. None.
"I'm happy." He chuckled softly, a little nervous. "Of course. She isn't um... angry, is she?"

"You sure?" She felt silly asking, but...it was a big deal to her. He needed to tell her if he wasn't happy. And he did still seem nervous.
Or maybe that was the mention of Armagnac. "Um...no. Not angry. She's strangely...fine with things."

Jake nodded. "I am, and, uh..." He scratched at his cheek. "I guess this means it's ok to be sharing a room and such..."
To be honest, he was a little nervous about both things, though perhaps a bit more about Armagmac, considering the first thing had... already happened. Nothing he could do about it now. "I-is she..." Why was it more nerve-wracking to hear that she was?
Letting out a sigh, Jake stepped back, summoning Chester. "Well then, shall we?"

Sherry kept her gaze on him, making sure he was being honest. Not that she thought he'd lie, but she knew he might try to hide any bits 'not happy'. He was like that. So was she, Sherry admitted, when Armagnac gave her a mental nudge.
"Um...We don't have to share a room, if you don't want. Not all the time, or anything. Please...don't think you have to." Sherry smiled at him, really it was ok. "I...understand wanting your own space, I do." She may or may not have been reading up on relationships in those magazines found in the common room.
"And besides, even if Armagnac is okay with everything, she'll rearrange everything you own the first chance she gets." Not that....getting into a golem was guaranteed. But Armagnac assumed it would happen again.
"But yeah. She's not...telling me to gut you," Sherry said, summoning the weapon. "She wants a fight, but she always wants a fight. So...I think... she's just happy that I'm happy."

"Well, um, if you're sure..." He had to admit he did kinda like having his own space, and... the idea of Armagnac going through his things was a little worrying, even if he didn't have all that much to mess with in the first place. "Um, tell her I appreciate that." He did like having his innards stay... well, inside him.

Sherry nodded. It was okay. At least...she told herself that. No need to be clingy and annoying. She was just...well. It was an emotional week.
But then her face scrunched up a little. "She heard you, and she says that what you appreciate is none of her concern." And...then Sherry moved forward to swing, a quick, sudden motion. "But you belong to her now, too. Since you make me happy."
