Sneaking out had never been hard to do; her parents and her younger brother were both more of the 'early to bed, early to rise' types, and her older brother was more the type to keep to himself in his room. To be honest, she was pretty sure he turned a blind eye to her at night on purpose -- he'd settled perfectly into the routine of work and school since he'd entered college, and he was a notorious hard-a** when it came to both. But he hadn't always been that way, and even if he'd never said anything, Nat liked to pretend he was sympathetic to her need to have a social life that extended beyond 10 at night.
If he only knew why she was going out tonight. Before, it would have probably been for a midnight release or something like that. This time, though -- she waited until she was a few blocks from her house before she transformed. Even if the fact that she still had the pen at all said it hadn't been a dream, she was still overwhelmed with a sense of wonder when her transformation went off without a hitch. "Oh thank god it still works, " she breathed out as she stumbled over to lean against the side of a building. Tonight, she told herself, more determined than irritable. Tonight she was going to learn to walk in these damn shoes before she met the other senshi and they all laughed at her. This was the sort of thing that long-running jokes and nicknames were made of. She could hear it already...
'Hey stumbles, careful - we fight evil, we don't fall on it!'
Nope, no way. She wasn't going to be the one superhero that couldn't get past her shoes! Anyway, it gave her a good chance to read over some of this primer stuff. She knew there was some big senshi meeting coming up soon, and Ash had encouraged her to show up -- how great would it be if she could make her big appearance walking and savvy to the superhero lingo? "Okay, so... " It all started with a step though. She edged away from the wall, grimacing as she tried her damnedest to keep herself standing. Mind over matter, mind over matter...
OOC: I put it as Regular for now since I don't know if they'll end up fighting or not, so I can change it no problem. xd

"Mhm~ Mhmhm~ Mhmhmhmh! MmmmmmHMM!" It seemed to be very very quiet tonight, minus the fact that Schreibersite was humming very loudly, very obnoxiously as he meandered about. He wasn't in a particularly good mood, nor was he in a bad one. His over all disposition varied from moment to moment, and the obnoxious but happy sounds he made were just the result of him being on his default setting, being neutral.
A few weeks had passed since his initial induction into the ranks of the Negaverse, but he still couldn't see what everyone was on about with a 'war' and 'good and evil' and 'bad guys and good guys'. Everyone seemed pretty neutral and pretty okay with him, that he'd notice so far. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing terribly.. Terrible. Just people looking for peace, and he loved it. he wanted that too! He wanted that peace to work for everyone! Everyone should be friends and work hard, not hate each other!
So.. When he felt the lights shimmer by, the senshi, he was not afraid. He had come to learn that the lights who could be identified were not scary, no, they were afraid of him, and he HATED that. Not only was his name terrible, but by default, people were afraid of him! He wanted to change that, to make it so everyone was good and happy, so when he approached her, he was determined to be calm and quiet, not loud and excited as he always was.
But then he saw them. He saw the shells on the girls head, the curve of her skirt, and the pearls that seemed to adorn her everywhere, and he held in a little squee! He had met a princess before, a queen before, and now a MERMAID!
"Miss! Little miss Mermaid!! Are you Alright? Oh, oh no, you sold your fins! That is why you struggle to walk!" He muttered to himself, looking at the peculiar shoes that the girl wore. They were so pointy.. Definitely the deal of some no good witch!
"Do you need some water, Miss Mermaid? Or do you need to sit down? Must be tired! So tired! The sea is so far from here, why are you here? Oh, right, you are a light, that means.. right.."

Amphitrite kept her fingertips draped lightly across the wall, and she was glad she did; she felt a small wave of something wash over her -- but to be honest, she assumed it was because they'd had tacos for dinner, or that maybe it was all the coffee she'd started sneaking just to make sure she didn't get all dopey.
But then, she saw him about the same time he saw her; gray hair and violet eyes and a uniform and -- there was no way he was normal -- she'd just read about this, she knew she had. The whole 'sensing' thing. So apparently it felt like having tacos for dinner?
Was that really what she should be worrying about right now? He clearly wasn't just some normal guy. She felt a small rush as she wondered... no, that wasn't right. She didn't really wonder. Odds were, this guy was one of the enemies Ash had spoken of, and Amphitrite had read up on them in the primer too. He was the first she'd encountered, and she was alone.
Not that she was scared, exactly. More thrilled than anything. If she really got into trouble, there were several numbers she could try and call, and... it was one thing to hear about an enemy, but it was something else to see and feel one.
... then again though, he wasn't really all that intimidating. Her eyes widened when he began talking, and she wondered for a second if maybe she'd had the completely wrong idea. But no, no, she knew she had to be right. Or at least she was pretty sure. The way he finished was kind of ambiguous and all, but...
Was it bad that she was just a tiny, tiny bit flattered that he'd just rushed up and called her a mermaid though? "I think I'd probably walk better with fins than with these, " she mumbled to herself -- and she knew she wasn't supposed to make small talk with the bad guys, but it just slipped right out.
Still though. If he was what she was 99.9% sure he was, it was a little weird. It was one thing to say 'hero' and 'villain'. It was another thing to look at a man like this and now they were destined to fight to the death in a cage match or whatever. "You're definitely Megaverse, right?" Oh, wait. No. That didn't sound right. "Or Negaverse. It's the second one, right?" Man this was a bad time to mix up names.
The entry about starseeds and what Negaverse people could do came to mind, and so she drew a hand to her chest subconsciously. "Are there any more of you close by, or are you alone...?" That's right, keep the guard up. Good job Amphitrite.

"If you struggle with the shoes, why not take them off? Easier barefoot, right? If it is easier, I say do it! Never understood why people wore what was uncomfortable, see me, me I wear this." His hand came up to pull at the skin tight clothing he wore, letting it snap back into place when he let it go, and it made a sound like it would have stung. But it was just fine for him, A little never stinging never killed any. A lot, probably, but not a little wee bit.
"No, not Megaverse.. Oh! There we go, you got it!" He clapped his hands before him giving her a beam when she got the name right, though to be honest, the name meant very little to him. It wasn't as if he knew too much about it. It was just give Buddy energy, then go about his way. That's all that mattered, he felt anyway. She certainly seemed a bit uncomfortable around him..
That didn't stop him from going closer, and putting his hands on tops of her head, on the little shells that seemed to hold her hair buns in place. He couldn't help it! The were just.. How did they even stay in place? He didn't want to tug at them, but he did poke them a few times, before quickly stepping back as if nothing happened.
"I'm alone! I don't really have any Negaverse friends besides my master. Oooh, there is the princess though. She's a Negaverse lady too, but I only met her once, when I walked her home. Other then that, nope. I am here, I am Schreibersite, Schrei for short, and I am alone. Well, not, nope, not alone, I am here, with you! That is not alone, right? That means you are here too!"

"I didn't really have a lot of choice, " Amphitrite sighed - not exactly wistfully, but thoughtfully, unthinking for this singular moment that this probably wasn't the conversation she wanted to have during her first big encounter with the enemy. "This was how the outfit was designed when it came out, and -- " she had the clarity not to mention Ash's name; names were a big thing after all. " -- I was told they'll always come back even if I take them off, so I might as well just get used to them." She had to admit, even if he was pure evil, she was just the tiniest bit jealous of how all-together practical his outfit was. Maybe her's was cuter (although she hadn't seen for herself how she looked in it), but his was probably going to be a more comfortable when it started getting cold out. ... although damn that outfit was tight. "But doesn't that ride a little? I mean, since it's so tight and everything." Then, once he confirmed she'd gotten the name right, all of a sudden he was lunging and Amphitrite was absolutely sure he was going to jump on her and do what all villains did. She went stiff and prepared herself to use her attack with was really just shell shields but it would be better than nothing and -- oh. He just sort of poked her shells and then went right back again. She blinked, the tension seeping away as quickly as it flooded in; especially when he said he was alone, and he didn't look like he was planning to attack her any time soon. None of this stopped her from crossing her arms, trying to appear more annoyed than she really was. Honestly in her day-to-day life, she didn't get all that worked up about people in her personal space. But she was trying really hard to do this whole senshi thing well, so she had to try and set some kind of boundaries with the guy that was supposed to be an enemy here. "Excuse me, but you can't just go grabbing people's shells without asking first. How would you feel if you were me and some guy just came up and grabbed your shells like that, hmm~?" There. That should show him. "Schrei... " Back to the topic at hand; she said his name once more just to make sure she remembered it. In spite of the fact that she was trying to be stern about the whole hero-villain line here, her default expression was a smile after all. "I'm Sailor Amphitrite, Senshi of Shells. But you probably guessed that much already... anyway!" She bit her lip; she wanted to ask more about the princess thing because she had sort of read about princesses a little (who wouldn't?) but she didn't know a whole lot about that. But, "You're not like... stealing energy right now, are you?" Where would he even keep it if he was?
