Personality:
Despite still missing her mother very much, Bacha is determined not to let that slow her down. She lives life to the fullest, as though every day was her last. The young teen is gregarious and welcoming to everyone. She goes out to experience all she can. There’s no point in letting the gloomy clouds get you when the sun is shining brightly. She is a very outgoing child. Bacha wants to be everyone’s friend. She is quick with a laugh to lighten the mood and easily forgives those who do her wrong. The world needs a little more kindness. Everyone is different, and Bacha is willing to give everything a try; from reading to playing games, if you enjoy it she'll attempt it.

She works hard to keep the peace. Often acting as a diplomat for her cousins, Bacha has a quick tongue in diffusing fights. It takes an art to listen to both sides fairly and come up with a solution that is equally fair. Bacha doesn’t take sides, but she will be honest. She isn’t one to turn honesty into painful brutality. Waiting quietly for someone to ask her opinion isn’t like her either. She is willing to speak her two-cents, even if you didn’t ask sometimes.

Being the granddaughter of a farmer it should come as no surprise that she loves the smell of growing things. Moving back to the Weyr was a big change for her; to bring that feeling of home, she has numerous potted flowering plants in her room. One of them is the only kind of that plant in her room as it was her mother’s favorite. She keeps it as a remembrance of her mother. As a young weyr-child, Bacha would play for hours with her older brother. Now that she's returning she's eager to see him again, and hopes they will be as close as she remembers.

Physical Description:
Bacha is a slim girl. She has a delicate grace and gentle movements. She stands 4’8” though she’ll grow to around 5’7” by the time she’s grown. Her hair is a dark honey wheat color with lighter highlights from working out in the fields. She keeps her hair fairly long and held back in a single braid. Her skin is a dusky tan, mostly from working in the sun. Dark green eyes that resemble growing plants in the middle of summer are framed by long lashes. Bacha loves wearing skirts and dresses, but she knows when pants would suit the job better.

History:
Bacha was born in Ista Weyr nine months after Greenrider Belas’ dragon got proddy away from the Weyr. She doesn’t know who her father was, except that he rides a dragon in another Weyr. Life began fairly normally for the young weyrbrat. She joined the creche and played with her friends. Though she spent her days in the creche, she spent the evenings and nights with her mother. When she was eight Turns, her mother was involved in a training accident. She and her green went between to avoid crashing into a bronze and never came back out.

Shortly after that, her mother’s family that lived in Nerat decided she should come live with them. Bacha went to live with her grandfather several months after her mother’s death. She grew up happily on the farm that her extended family owned. Though the memories of the Weyr became a faded out blur, she always dreamed of going back to Stand.

Turns slowly passed as she grew up playing with her cousins on the farm. On her twelfth birthday began her apprenticeship with a large family down the road that was close friends of her grandfather’s. Barely a Turn into her apprenticeship, Bacha decided she wish to return to the Weyr and Stand if the dragons would allow. She spent nearly a sevenday working on her letter to send to the Weyrleaders. With shaking hands she passed her letter off to some traders to take to the Weyr.

The wait was agonizing! Bacha could hardly focus on her chores. She knew the answer, if it came at all, wouldn’t come right away. Days turn into a sevenday; a sevenday turned into several. A month after she sent out her letter the answer came in the form of green wings.
