It happened suddenly, which is to say, without any warning, except for the Olympus meeting a few days prior. Every knight that attended the Olympus meeting had all that time to wonder: what exactly was it that one page could not discover on her own, with the right camping materials? What was it that the Code thought she could not do, that their assembled number could? Time passed, and maybe the memory faded and maybe it didn't, but if they had agreed to lend Mistral Page their arms, the day came and they simply... vanished...One moment, they’d all been doing whatever it is they did on Monday nights around ten in the evening (sleeping? reading? homework?) and the next, they were ever-so-rudely yanked into the ether, into space-- --and then unceremoniously deposited at the base of the stairs in Mistral’s labyrinth. As the assembled knights picked themselves up off the ground, a curiously toneless voice said from nowhere in particular but most specifically, directly over their shoulders: “Level Seven: Archives.” If they turned to look, there would be nothing there but their fellows, looking just as confused as they were.

Welcome to the labyrinth of Mistral! You’re the first knights to stand in this level of the labyrinth since the Silver Millennium, and while that is certainly an honor, it’s also a danger to you. As the last knight of Mistral closed down her wonder to protect it from ravening hordes of Chaotic soldiers, she laid traps of varying menace. These traps range from simple flash-bangs, to pieces of wall rigged to explode, to solid floors which are not. The further down you go, the more dangerous it becomes. The labyrinth and laboratories are fourteen levels. You are on Level 7: Archives. This level is populated mostly by deadly traps. A map will be provided to your character. To successfully escape the labyrinth and join Mistral on the lobby level, you must navigate through your level and find the piece of the device hidden on your floor. You will navigate by indicating at the top of your post in bold red font which room your character wishes to proceed to. The room with the most votes will be the room which the group goes to. In each room, you will find something--a trap, a treasure, or a device piece--that will be determined by the roll of a d20. Traps are exactly what they say on the tin. They come in three varieties: harmless, harmful, and deadly. Every trap variety will be identified for you. Should a deadly trap be rolled in a party with more than one disposable, the lowest-level disposable will die first. Should there be more than one Page-level disposable in the group, the disposable whose name comes first alphabetically will die first. Only one disposable will die per deadly trap, unless all of them survive to the final trap, at which point they will all die. Your challenge is to describe how your character avoids or survives these--and if you play a disposable, should your party encounter a deadly trap, to write your character’s horrible end. At no point will your character’s situation after the trap be written for you. Treasures are one-use items which can only be used within the labyrinth of Mistral. Each ‘treasure’ encountered counts for each character--so even if your party only encounters one treasure, it can be assumed that your characters all took something from the pile. You decide what the treasures are, as long as you use them before the end of the RP. To use a treasure, post in bold at the top of your post that you are using a treasure and what you are using it for. Please keep track of your treasures. Device pieces send your characters to the final trap, where all still-living disposables must die. After that, your characters will proceed to the final RP, item hand-in.

It occurred to Mistral, as she hit the same goddamn key sequence again with an aggrieved expression that would have stopped most knights of her acquaintance in their tracks, that perhaps she ought to have a notebook. Hit this squiggly thing, then this one, then this one, in order to switch cameras. The Code was no ******** use, except to pull people to her Wonder for the purpose of providing the knights with a better communications device oh s**t no it was way more useful than it had to be, but, like, she still didn’t know what it was. “Jarvis,” she ventured, quietly. No answer. She finally got to Level Seven: Archives, and found the last group of knights. The sequence to call up a map for them wasn’t hard, and she grinned with self-satisfaction when she got it right on only the third try. “I am the best, Mendel,” she said, smugly, as the pink light pulsed. Mistral leaned back in her chair, quite satisfied. Sure, she wasn’t doing the footwork herself, but wasn’t this so much more efficient? Now, if only she could find out how to watch all three groups at once... YOU ARE AT THE STARTING POINT. You have found yourself in a smooth stone hallway. The temperature is cool, and when you walk you can hear your footsteps echoing. There is a circular rack suspended from the ceiling in the corner in front of you. Hung on it are plastic raincoats. Past the coat rack, you find two closed doors (leading to Room 5 and Room 8 ) and an archway (leading to Room 1). Which do you choose?

Hvergelmir votes for the Archway to Room 1.
Yesterday, Hvergelmir had become a squire -- her new rank, as a knight, and something she'd never even considered she could attain after swearing herself out of the Negaverse war. Today, less than twenty-four hours later, she was being pulled through space again -- and this time, not to Olympus. It was some place different, indoors -- with different air pressure. She covered each nostril with a finger and tried to blow lightly outward until she successfully got her ears to pop.
There. That was better.
Was this Mistral's labyrinth that she'd mentioned? Had the Code known to call them to it?
There were other knights here, which was a relief. What was more, they seemed to have been given provisions for their outing, which was heartening, and made her feel prepared. Well done, Mistral. A map, and . . . raincoats, for some reason. Well, presumably they'd need them, why ever that was.
"Famous blue raincoats all around?" she said, stepping forward to take one. If nothing else, it could keep her warmer if the temperature dropped.
With that done, she surveyed the map, struggling to read it. It was like no blueprint she'd ever seen.
"I can't tell how we're supposed to find what we're looking for," she admitted. "But there's a weird little -- like a corridor or a closet off of Room 1. Maybe it's a vault?"

Babylon would like to advance to Room 1 Babylon expected immediately that this was some deeper level of Mistral. He'd seen enough of the upper labyrinth to recognize the style, and besides, he'd volunteered to be here. So, like, it sort of stood to reason. Hearing Hvergelmir speak, he turned towards the young woman and immediately broke out into a wide grin. "Hvergelmir Squire," said Babylon, stepping up beside her and taking a raincoat of his own. "You are looking completely dashing in your new digs. That is a completely excellent look for you." And Babylon's heart swelled three sizes that day. Anyway. He leaned over Hvergelmir's shoulder to look at the map. If they were just trying to make it to the stairs as quickly as possible, he could see exactly the route they needed to take, but they were looking for more than that. The alcove looked like a good bet, though - best check their first and rule it out before they took on any extra rooms. "Good call," he said, peering ahead towards the archway. He could not see into the room beyond, but he hoped that since the door wasn't sealed, there was nothing too dangerous awaiting them. "Okay." He looked around, waiting for the rest of their group to arrive. "We can take a consensus once everyone's had a chance to look at the map."

Hvergelmir spun around and beamed, noticing Babylon had also been thrown into the bowels of Mistral's labyrinth with them. "Babylon!" she greeted him, throwing both arms around his midsection in an enthusiastic hug while he was in the midst of putting on his raincoat. They were for sure friends now, and that meant full license to hug on sight with extreme prejudice. " I have magic powers now," she hissed with delight, like this was a great secret and no one else in the knight faction had ever had magic powers. They had, obviously -- but she had never had magic powers before. And now she did. She totally had magic powers. She was just . . . still figuring them out. Silverah you don't have to reply if you prefer, just returning the greeting <3

Cove votes Room 1He'd been mixing down some tracks to upload to Soundcloud sometime by the end of the week, but the will of the universe seemed to have other plans. As Usual. "Hey! At least it isn't too cold-raiiincoats?" Not great, but not icy. Was it going to rain indoors? And they were all in uniform. Saved the time in powering up? "Aaand there's people. Anyone get the memo on what sort of class excursion we're field-tripping on? Tripping, especially. Wow, you're glowy. " And kinda fluffy. But the guy was damn impressive. And there was a Cosmos knight! Cove lifted his hand and smiled at the other, "Same tailor, right beautiful?" He winked, "Name's Cove, you?"

KAIRATOS WILL JOIN EVERYONE IN ROOM ******** great..." Kairatos added, uncharitably, partially because he had been summoned trying to adjust his sling, which hung on all his bruises... and then suddenly he was here, trying to hold his own arm because he was uniformed up and the sling was gone. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NOW?" He demanded, apparently of the ceiling.
"You know I ******** changed sides to get away from this summoning crap! Can someone give me a hand here? Honest to god this timing..."
He clearly liked asking for help as much as he liked being summoned, and his shoulder under the bull head guard was a mass of angry dark bruising. A lovely reminder of his battle with Titan, and probably about to be an even larger disadvantage than he thought.

"Oh, wow," Hvergelmir began, taking in Cove's rainbow shimmer from head to toe. "Definitely the same tailor!" She lit up happily, thrilled to be able to add a fellow Cosmos knight to the roster of people who were going on this apparent raincoat adventure with her. They were a rare breed, in her experience -- and the only other one she knew of, red-but-blue-headed Sarras, was nowhere to be seen. If he'd been drawn to Mistral's labyrinth, he hadn't been drawn here. "Hvergelmir Pa-- Squire," she caught herself and corrected, then indicated Babylon alongside her, now holding the map. "And this is Babylon Kni--" The introductions were momentarily interrupted with the arrival of another knight -- and one that seemed to be in pretty serious medical distress. "Oh my God, you're hurt," she observed for no one's benefit. "Here, you -- " She floundered a moment for what to do, then forced herself to remember she had once recently attended an actual class about what to do in this situation. "You should immobilize that. Hang on, give me a moment." Hvergelmir stooped to grab the hem of her dress. If there was one thing she had in abundance, it was excess fabric. "Okay, you guys can't laugh if my Hulk Hogan efforts in a second don't work, I've only been a squire for like eighteen hours." So saying, Hvergelmir gave a long tear -- and in a moment, she was advancing on Kairatos in a dress that now stopped at the ankle, with every intention of putting him in a very sparkly, starflecked, pastel rainbow sling.

Hvergelmir and Babylon, rad. And the new guy, also feeling like a Knight- we've got this. There's enough power here to bruise or smarts our way through anything. And protect each other while we're at it- Holy-What happened to his ARM?! Thank goodness Hvergelmir seemed to know what she was doing, because he had no clue on injuries other than getting everything clear and not moving it. "Here, can I...unclip this...bull thing? It'll be in the way of her work. That weight can't be good is it brass? bronze? gold?" He wasn't going to bite it to find out. Bull like robin hood prince of thieves, man? "Any other injuries?" In a college sort of way, he hoped the guy would say yes. Because really, who wouldn't want the excuse to see more of those fantastic legs. She could Hulk that fabric as much as she wanted, as far as Cove was concerned. "Are you going to tie it to itself...or use ...a pin or some fastener? Babylon, you got a pocket knife or anything?" He looked like the kind to have a swiss army knife.

"Five seconds ago I had an actual sling...." He groused, and might have actually colored very slightly as she ripped the hem off her dress. "Apparently they don't power up with you... can you help me undo this damn buckle. (this to Cove) The shoulder guard is kinda,,, exactly where I got nailed, and I actually... I got no idea. Not my area of specialty. I guess bronze and gold... ...And no... he only got me the once but it was a damn good hit." At least he'd stopped trying to experiment with exactly how many times he could use the F-word and actually still have it count as a sentence. "Uh, thanks..." He added. "Don't think we've met really. Kairatos of Mars." He shot a raised eyebrow to Babylon and then immediately scowled again as he realized the young man still seemed to be glowing... "Goddamn, I thought you were going to take care of that!"

Degrasse is following everyone through the Arch to Room 1!
The best thing ever happened to Gwen five days ago.
Well, okay, so the worst thing had happened, too, when some slimy alien thing had slammed into her mom's car while they were out practice driving. But vehicular damage paled in comparison to the glittery warrior that leapt from the rooftop and engaged in deadly combat, firing magical bolts from thin air. Gwen's mom had passed out, but Gwen herself had been too curious to stay nestled in the car, and in the chaos of dodging sludge and flying magical sparkles, something in her had been awakened, and for the first time she heard her true name.
Degrasse, Page of Cosmos. Nothing else could possibly sound more perfect. And the outfit? She was finally the princess tumblr told her she was.
The next few days had been a whirlwind, trying to catch up with the learning curve, and at some point she had ended up on Mars (can you believe it?????) so she supposed she shouldn't have been surprised when she was pulled away from her cozy bed and her laptop and thrust into some other bizarre space station. But Degrasse just about jumped out of her skin when she realized she was somewhere else, in uniform, and when it occurred to her, she promptly did the most reasonable thing to come to her fifteen year old mind.
She screamed until she remembered that these weren't aliens and they weren't going to eat her. She was in good company.
Embarrassed and blushing, the teen drew her gossamer shawl to her face, looking wide-eyed at the assembly before her. "S-sorry," murmured the girl.

Their little party very quickly got a whole lot bigger. Babylon whirled around, waving to Cove and Kairatos. The Martian knight looked worse for the wear, and he didn't doubt why. "You know," he said, "having seen the other guy in the fight you were in, I've got to say I'm impressed. You had him running scared." Oh, yeah, he was totally still glowing. Babylon blushed sheepishly. "I actually did take care of it," he laughed. "Sailor Cosmos helped me out and now I'm right as rain. Hver was there, she'll vouch for me. The glowing's just. Residual." Well, he had some weird new powers. Something had changed since his visit to Hvergelmir, but he couldn't articulate exactly what. Maybe he'd just ******** himself up in a really stupendously useful way. "I don't have a pocket knife, unfortunately," he said to Cove, laying a hand flat against Kairatos's bruised shoulder. "But I can totally help with the bruising." Well, he could sort of help with that. He could make it look a little less terrible. After taking an appropriate amount of time with the power transfer, Babylon let go of the other knight's arm. The bruises looked no different, but Kairatos may have felt more energized. Likely, they'd heal faster. He was still figuring it out. Anyway, he'd like to tell Cove to stop ogling Hver's legs, but was still figuring out how to word it when the second Cosmos page arrived. "Woah, woah," he said, chuckling gently. This kid was tiny! He felt instantly protective of her. "No need to be sorry. You're here to help, yeah? We can use all the hands on deck we can get. I'm Babylon, these're Kairatos and Hvergelmir and Cove. What's your name? And go ahead and get a raincoat. We're going to get going in a second, I think, yeah?" "How much longer do you think we should wait for latecomers?" he asked, directing the question to Hvergelmir and Kairatos as the second and third most experienced people present.

Niflhel's following everyone this round #1 Niflhel was standing at the back of the group as they all appeared from where? Who knows - who cared. He was just lucky he wasn't patrolling with Snowball because he didn't want to leave the cat alone - presumably - as Knights seemed to be apt to getting pulled from where the hell ever.
He sighed but was not bothered by the change in scenery. In fact had he not been told he'd almost assumed it'd been Mistral's doing -- well by way of the code.
Now normally Niflhel wouldn't've probably said much but his brows knitted as he looked at Babylon and well aware there wasn't anyone but knights around he couldn't help but quarry, "Hey Babylon. . . didn't your uniform use to be more. . . brown?" Unsure that he wanted that particular story the Knight was a little concerned in the fact there was a very obvious color change.

"...Hey that does feel better." Kairatos sounded a bit surprised, but pleased with this revelation, and certainly had no argument with any improvement to his current situation. "I busted out my magic on him. Couldn't figure out a better way to get him to stop chucking s**t since he didn't seem to feel like having a nice chat. I see he didn't get a chance to smack you around... he run out of motorcycles to throw or did he misplace the hammer?" He chuckled a touch sarcastically at Niflhel's question, adding. "Yeah ask him about his exciting adventures with toting a spare starseed." He wasn't sure he'd have recommended it as a casual activity, but the new white uniform sort of suited Babylon. Not that he'd have said it out loud. "I guess just tie it... I have no idea. And I guess give it another minute? I'm used seeing everyone pop in at once..." Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a crash course in first aid or something.
