Castiel has short, bright orange hair that has a habit of falling over his eyes when he walks. His eyes are wide, sharp, and deep evergreen in hue. His style is very comfortable, loose, but fashionable, in his opinion. He'll wear nearly any color, but prefers orange, purple, brown, and pastels. However, he does have a thing for rainbow. He also likes bows, hair clips, hair extensions, long necklaces, and has a collection of bracelets for every outfit he plans. In fact, if he doesn't feel that everything matches right when he gets dressed, he won't leave his dorm until he feels it does.
Personality:
Cassie's an energetic sweetheart who just wants to live his life and be himself. He loves to be outside and around people, espescially when group events are being held. Being social seems to be an inherently natural thing to him and it takes quite a lot of negativity to put a damper on his mood. He likes to be the first person to show a new kid around, even if he himself is a new kid and has no idea where he's going, and thinks that anything can be turned into an adventure if you try hard enough.
He's known to be stubborn and vocally picky, though, and likes to have his food and clothes in a certain manner. There can't be too much spice in his soup, his jacket needs to match his shoes, and so on and so forth. The same goes for gifts that people give him. He'll let you know exactly what he wants and what he likes, and will make a face if the gift isn't up to his standards. Yeah, he likes sneakers, but in that ugly color? EW. And he already has five of those key chains, didn't you see him wearing them yesterday? Sheesh, you need to be more observant!
Castiel is notorious for falling in and out of crushes with others very quickly. He chalks it up to being such a loving person, but refuses to acknowledge it as a problem. He may like one girl one week and a guy the next, or he can crush on three people at once for three days and completely forget who they are the next week. It doesn't take very much for Castiel to crush on you, but it's mostly based on how you treat him and your appearance. If he finds you handsome or cute, he isn't above using Clairaudience to listen in on your conversations or bribing Beaugles to follow you around. Though, he prefers to be straightforward and use Empathy so he can feel just how you feel when he talks to you.
History:
Castiel Everett Morgan was born to a pair of very happy women after years of IVF treatments and perseverance. His mothers had been together since they were teenagers and lived in a small, three bedroom apartment which was filled with love and everything horse-themed that his mothers could get their hands on. He was the first biological child of one of his mothers, an avid horse fanatic, but the second born to the couple, the other being his elder half-sister, Jessica, who was the child of his second mother from her first marriage. Growing up with two moms had it's difficulties, discrimination, teasing from other children at school, even shady gazes from people in the supermarket, but none of that really bothered Castiel all that much. His moms were his moms and he loved them with all his heart. No one could change that.
His powers made their appearance during a horse race that his family attended during summer break. They met up with one of his uncles, a rider, and were allowed to pet a few of the horses before the races were set to begin. Twelve year old Castiel, a mess with excitement, began to pet his uncle's horse and chat with it, only to shriek in surprise when the horse replied to him in perfect English. It was a very sudden thing, as if a door in his mind was slammed open, and it utterly confounded him. However, convinced it was all in his mind, he continued his day with his family as if nothing happened. Then, while they were walking through the food court, another more frightening ability made itself known. All it took was a quick glance at a man and his wife and he could hear every word they were saying! Startled, he frantically told his mothers that he needed the bathroom and refused to come out until he felt better.
His uncle, once his race was over, came to his side soon after and tried his best to comfort him, but something told him that his uncle was lying when he said that he believed him. Confident that he wasn't crazy, he told his mothers and sister, only to get hit with the same feeling of disbelief and humor. They thought he was kidding. They thought he was crazy! This rocked Castiel's stability even further and made him invert, which only heightened his ability to feel his parent's heavily concerned emotions. He could hear the discussions about therapy, he could hear his sister making fun of him with her friends in her bedroom. It was incredibly difficult for him to understand, let alone cope with, and sent him into a deep spiral of depression. No one believed him, no one understood him, why should he even bother talking about it?
On Castiel's 14th birthday, his mothers came home with a present, a fluffy, sweater clad cat called Beaugles. It had been two years since the incident at the races and Castiel hadn't really bothered making any friends. He was always wearing his headphones and sitting alone in his room away from his family. He didn't want to hear their voices, even if it was an expression of love, because he'd already heard them speak of him so poorly. However, as soon as Beaugles entered his room and curled up beside him, it was like a bubble had been burst. Not only was Beaugles cuddly, lazy, and tolerate of adorable sweaters, he was also keen on listening to whatever Castiel had to say. They'd talk to each other day and night and built up a bond that his family was astounded by. What was it about that cat that made him change so quickly? Was that really all he needed to recover?
It wasn't until Castiel's aunt, the sister of his non-horse fanatic mother, stopped by for a visit that his family was introduced to the reality of the psychic mind. His aunt, though noticeably eccentric, was able to communicate with Beaugles the same way he could, and reprimanded his mothers for treating this gift as if it were insanity. It wasn't an easy thing to introduce, of course, but when his aunt demonstrated her Telekinesis ability in front of the family, it was accepted a whole lot easier. Castiel wasn't sick, he was psychic, which was a whole different story.
Gradually, Castiel's emotional wounds healed and the family began to pursue options for Castiel to gain control of his abilities, which eventually lead them to Majesco Psychic Academy. Castiel was skeptical of being sent away to school at first and initially refused, until he read that the Academy allowed pets in it's dorms. Learning how to control his abilities with his best buddy at his side? How could he say no to an offer like that?
