I was actually a little disappointed at the news, mostly because metagross is already badass and a very good pokemon. I would like if they did something interesting with it, rather than like what they did with Mega Scizor and Mega Blaziken, where they pretty much just increased it's stats and gave it a new design and called it a day. I feel like Mega Evolutions are a nice way to fix some mistakes of the past, like with Kangaskhan, Mawile, and Pinsir, making previously completely unused pokemon into the core of many teams. I already see metagross everywhere because it's already an awesome pokemon. Depending on how good of an upgrade, I can already see Smogon exiling it to the Ubers like with M. Kangaskhan and M. Gengar

Gengar I know what you mean, but it kinda makes sense Metagross would get one considered he is one of Steven Stone's core team members and whatnot and that seems to be the trend (Give the champion and enemy leader and rival a mega). I would honestly love to see a different type of mega, like Shiftry or Tropius, hell, give dunsparce a mega evolution, id love to see a dunsparce thats mega evolved. or a Zangoose

Wanna face my dark or psychic team some time? xD As for normal types id love mega Zangoose, Delcatty or Castform, for design purposes and stat boosts
