On an upper level in Wily's Tower, one of the many rooms the bots frequented was an E-tank vending and rest area. This particular one was a bit off the beaten path, a favorite of Blues' to visit due to it's more secluded nature. There were tons of these areas dotted throughout the large Tower, and no particular reason for anyone to visit this one. He had deemed it safe.

Hell, he had gone so far as to string up a hammock in here for those times he felt like relaxing outside of the room he now shared with Forte. Currently he was lounging in said hammock, enjoying the silence and sipping on an E-tank.

Surely the peace wouldn't last too long.

Why the hell was this tower so damn big?! Magnet rarely frequented the upper parts of the tower. Aside from being "banned" from certain floors due to interference with delicate equipment, he just didn't have a whole lot of reason for being up here and as such, he didn't know his way around. Of course his terrible sense of direction didn't help. He was certain if he kept looking around, he'd find Proto's room eventually.

Magnet opened the final hall door to find a cozy little break area. Not bad. He could use an e-tank before resuming his search. Failing to notice the napping general, the robot master strolled over to the vending machine and snickered to himself. Too easy. Lifting a finger, Magnet gestured to the machine. A can pushed forward obediently and rolled down into the catch at the bottom.

Blues had finished off his E-tank and had started to slip into recharge. Really, it was just so nice...and comfortable...

And then he heard the noise of a can hitting the catch of the vending machine and his eyes shot back open. FRIGGIN GOD DAMNIT who had followed him here?!

Without moving too much, the General glanced to the vending machine. Joy. It was Magnet... Maybe if he stayed quiet the other wouldn't notice him and would just -leave-.

He didn't put much faith in Magnet's intelligence, after all.

Nabbing his pilfered e-tank from the free vending machine, Magnet chuckled to himself. Too bad no one was around to be jealous. He popped the can open and turned to take a long draw, finally catching sight of Proto. "HA! About time I found you!" the robot master pointed dramatically, unintentionally sloshing liquid all over his arm. "Damnit!" Magnet growled and shifted the can to his other hand so he could shake off the fluid.

Sigh

Blues let his tail flick around beneath his perch on the hammock, showing that he was, in fact, awake.

"And -why- were you looking for me Magnet?"
He was ready to bolt, should the other feel the need to magnet him to a wall again. But for now he stood his ground.

Or rather, stayed put int he hammock.

"Do I need a reason?" Magnet snorted. "I was at that battle too, you know. I would have thought you'd have come to personally thank all of us who came to save you." The robot master leaned back against the machine, trying to look cool despite his earlier mishap.

Though he hated to admit it...he did owe thanks to those who had risked themselves to come save him. He hadn't expected it in the slightest, and the amount of those who -did- show up...well, it meant a lot that so many bots (and a few citizens) had cared enough to come rescue him.

However...

"Didn't know you were there, I didn't -see- you. So, I suppose I am sorry for not thanking you earlier. Thanks."
There you go Magnet, enjoy your General's appreciation.

The blue striped tail gave another flick before moving up to drape across Proto's lap.

Magnet nearly dropped his e-tank. He really hadn't expected for that to go over so easily. With a smug smirk, he opened his mouth to ask after the magnets Proto had left behind and the possibility of making it up to him with a top floor room when he noticed Proto's new stripey blue tail...and his face. "What the hell happened to your fur?"

"Dr. Light gave me an upgrade."
He was going to leave it at that. No one else really needed to know that his father had created some strange E-tank that was the equivalent of crack for robots. Blues didn't want to imagine Magnet hyped up on that stuff. Or worse...Quick.

Ugh.

It was then that Blues' wings decided to turn back on, fluttering in the air beneath the hammock. Blues let out an unnecessary sigh and pinned his ears back in annoyance. He -really- needed to figure out how to turn this off and on at will...

Magnet's eyes were immediately drawn to the bright fluttering wings shining beneath the hammock. "Are those-- Holy s**t he turned you into a fairy?!" the robot master snorted and nearly doubled over laughing, spilling a bit more of the e-tank in the process. Ah wait till Roll got a hold of her new and improved fairy boyfriend. She'd dump him faster then Quick on coffee.

If he only had his gun.

"First, no he did not turn me into a fairy. Second...at least I am capable of drinking an E-tank without spilling it all over myself. Perhaps we'll get you a bib."

"Pfft. And you need a dress. Isn't that what the pixies are wearing these days?" Magnet retorted.

"I am not a fairy -or- a pixie, and I don't need a dress."
There was a snarl to Blues' words, the General starting to get rather annoyed by the unwanted company.

"In case you have forgotten I am your general and I suggest you start treating me with the respect that position deserves."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 10, 2014 5:53 am

Magnet smirked, enjoying the obvious annoyance in his general's words. Oh this was too fun. "Hmph. You're only general because you beat us that one time. A lucky fluke I bet."

Blues just snorted. Magnet's attempts at getting him to drop his aloof behavior were pathetic. The others knew he was General for a damn good reason, clearly Magnet wasn't programmed with enough common sense to realize this.

Not his problem.

"I would be more than happy to repeat that battle, should you wish. It'll prove nothing more than Wily was right in making me General, and banishing -you- to the lower floors."

The bot went so far as to roll over, back now facing Magnet. Clearly he didn't view the other as a threat.
