-Rules- Please don't join just for the herd bonus in breedings.
Please respect this rule. I'd like to see the members interact together. Where it's done doesn't matter, so long as I know you are participating. (Thread I'd appreciate being recorded in the guild) Writing is extremely important to me and it makes me upset to see people not use something connected to me.
If all you want is a herd bonus, there are many more out there.
All colors and breeds accepted.
Ocean Nova would have an easier time here, though, as Nostos sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

Nostos is very much like the ancient greeks. The Gods the herd worships consists of the pantheon of the twelve greek gods.
Theatre
Nostos has begun to produce the first early theatre in the world of DD, Cepheus Cephei himself is a playwright. They produce plays to remember their history as much as for entertainment. Some of the plays are of the king and queen's own tragedy.

-Festivals And Rituals- Olympic Games
Held once every 4 years, Nostos invites other herds to take part against their own athletes in a large scale tournament. The Olympics Honors the god Zeus
Pythian Games
Held once every four years two years after the olympics, Nostos invites other herds to take part against their own athletes in a large scale tournament. The Pythian games Honors the god Apollo
Nemean Games
Held once every 2 years(2nd and 4th year of the olympiads), Nostos invites other herds to take part against their own athletes in a large scale tournament. The Nemean games Honors Zeus and his half mortal son Heracles
Isthmian Games
Held once every 2 years the year before and the year after the olympic games, Nostos invites other herds to take part against their own athletes in a large scale tournament. The Olympics Honors the god Poseidon

-Herd Ranks- The Royals
King: Cepheus Cephei

Prince/princess:
The Boule: The Boule is a council composed of respected members of the herd outside of the royal family. Their duty is to bring important matters to the king and queen and to advise them in what their people want. Elected??? (This is an idealized version of Ancient Greek society, not a historical depiction, darnit xP )
Athletes: Among the more respected members of the society, athletes entertain royalty and commoners alike with physical feats. Athletes compete in ritual games for the honor of the gods, but may also be called upon in times of danger to protect the herd, as they have no army.
Thespians: Thespians are playwrights and the actors who perform in those plays. Plays are considered at least as important as athletic games. Once a year, during the festival to Dionysus, Nostos runs a play-writing and performing competition. (Possibly in honor of Cephei as well, as he was a playwright??? So not just Dionysus??? Also, maybe stars from other herds could compete in the competition, but Nostosians have an advantage, since they know what their fellow Nostosians like/expect from a play??? In the original festivals, there were three genres: tragedy, comedy, and sexy, I think we could skip the Sexy and maybe introduce a play in honor of Cephei? Or something? Or a genre glorifying the gods or something??)
Oikodomos: Nostos would be nothing without its beautiful, lavish bathhouse, its magnificent theatre, or its awe-inspiring stadium (Hippodrome???)--so it could be said that Nostos would be nothing without the Oikodomoi, the builders, architects, and engineers responsible for these symbols of Nostosian culture. Oikodomoi (singular oikodomos) are trained in mathematics and build any number of different kinds of buildings, whatever the herd needs.
