Serenade
July 8, 2501
"Here's how it is. We've crashed on Lytton, a snowy planet colonized for fuel extraction. The exact thing we need if we're to get up in the air again. However, the people vested in this land won't let it go without a fight. They know the land better than you do. If you think that you've got the upper hand on them, even for a second, you're wrong. A village just north is where you can find the fuel at. The people there aren't hostile. Admiral Teague has entrusted you two with the fate of this ship. Go down to the cargo bay and meet up with Petrovka. He'll make sure you get off smoothly with everything you need. One more thing, try not to die. Hell, you're the only thing we've got left, Keeper."
"This is the ship. The Serenade don't look like much, but the piece of scrap sure can fly." "Get to know your landscape, friend." "Horseback is self-explanatory. However, be awry of ice." "Finally, Voightgrad. This is where you'll find the fuel. We've lost radio contact. That's the whole reason we're sending you out. Otherwise, we'll freeze here."
"Okay. Whenever you're ready, Keeper. Oh. Good luck. "

Many like him and many hate him. However, now he's forced out of his cozy mechanic's den and thrown into a desolate wasteland with another crewman. Kilroe may look all fleshed out when you see him, but he's a completely different man from what a conventional mechanic might entail. Do not let the crooked cravat fool you, this man is to be taken lethally.

(Before we start, I'd like to give us both a hefty endowment. We'll both now be referred to as a Keeper. A Keeper's job is simple - fulfill the quest to get more fuel. Originally, Admiral Teague gave them to us. Now if you're called a Keeper you'll know what's happening. Anyway, time to meet Petrovka. Our mission has now started! Get ready...) July 10, 2501
Despite the warmth of an oil lamp and the comfort of his hammock, Jebediah Kilroe cringed. It was practically inevitable as coughing and sneezing crept to the 'Cargo Bay'. The cold claimed each breath like he was puffing on his seventh cigarette. The Serenade was teeming with sickness. With that, you would need a doctor. Nuve Taimner, the Keeper assigned to go on the fuel run with him was just the person for it. Jebediah knew little of her because he kept his distance from everyone on the craft. But he liked it that way. Really, the only one he had talked to and respected was Petrovka, a German from Earth. Jebediah set down a wrench he'd been fiddling with and shifted in the hammock. Finally, one eye had collapsed, but Admiral Teague's spectacle made him blink uncontrollably. The baton smashing and clanking against the kitchen sink nearly had Jebediah clutched to a table. " What're you doing, Teague?" Jebediah demanded. Teague seemed to shrug off his ignorance. " Well, first off, the Serenade won't go up without fuel. Second, why aren't you out there yet? I told you and Nuve to meet Petrovka nearly an hour ago!" Teague jostled with adrenaline and cracked with every word. Teague quickly took sweat off his meaty brow and wiped it on his scarlet great coat. " Now, Kilroe, go out onto the Cargo Bay and meet up with 'em before I have to drag you out there!" Jebediah had no other choice. It was time to go out into the uncharted wasteland. He reluctantly snapped on a navy great coat and bundled each hand up with cloth for better weapon handling then walked onto the Cargo Bay where Petrovka was.

 July 10, 2501 The Departure
After just treating one man of his open wounds Nuve Taimner caps a vial and cleans the vial. She always had her healing blood in case of emergencies. There was no need to drain herself every incident this way or reveal to any other crew member she was the 'alien'. No need to say but she wasn't always excepted by all humans. " You are dispatched." Nuve leads the man out who rubbed at his arm in amazement of how quickly his wounds had healed; not completely believing it either. She looks at the time and her face drains of its color; a good hour had passed since she was given orders to meet at the Cargo bay. Nuve packed her weapons, vials, stitches, food, etc into her small backpack with swift and precise movements, not wasting a moment. She sighs, she had heard of the human whose name was Jebediah and not once had it been in good remarks; usually those who'd been on his bad side visiting her containment for healing. Placing her pack over her shoulders she locks her containment and runs to the Cargo bay. " Petrovka? I apologize for being late." She moves to the one who fit the description. The chill of the land didn't bother her as much as she was told it might. It merely tousled her thick black hair; making it wave and curl around her shoulders. " I could do this alone. I wouldn't want to endanger anyone who doesn't need it." Pulling hair behind her ear and shifting her pack, Taimner, looks for the other who was to accompany her. He is more late than me!

July 10, 2501 The DepartureAs everyone scrambled to their job in the Serenade, Petrovka was met by Nuve. " Ah, no need!" Petrovka's fluency in German still lingered on the tip of his tongue. For the most part, his goatee, unkempt hair, and one glimmering blue eye matched the rest of his attire. Petrovka's other eye was mechanized and quite menacing, but his grin protruded a dimple on each side of his face and you could tell that this man wasn't hostile. " And you must be Nuve, no?" Petrovka studied her. Confidence seemed to thrive within her. But truly, she didn't know what was out there. Neither did he, but he made sure to stay captivated in the heart of the Serenade. If Petrovka was to die, he wanted to do it with his men. " Jebediah? Typical. Oh, I've spoken too soon." " I guess you have, old man," Jebediah said grappling the appendage on his pack while he walked over with his lever-action shotgun. Petrovka's eye spun clockwise and turned back over to a normal position. " You call me old man one more time and you might catch yourself down in the Pit with me, again." They both gave a small nostalgic smirk before rendering Nuve into the conversation. " Well, it's looking like you already have the stuff you'll need for the trip. However, Jebediah's horse will have this container locked onto it." Petrovka motioned a white container with supplies already stashed in it. " The load can carry quite a lot without crippling the horse." Petrovka locked it into place on the horse behind him. " Well, I think you're ready." Jebediah noticed Nuve. " I don't believe a proper introduction has been made. I'm Jebediah." The colossal snout of the ship was opened and Jebediah caught his first glimpse of the wasteland. He hopped up on his horse as a green aura illuminated the sky. Jebediah could barely see it because of the lip of the snout, but as his horse advanced, the night sky flourished with a hue of blue and green. His horse stamped down the ramp onto the snow.
