A long sandy road that leads from Sohmer City to Seussville, this route travels along the edge of the beach of Peirs Island. With the ocean constantly in view, this route is said to be one of the most beautiful places to travel. Lovely purple flowers dot the path here along the greenery and are commonly offered at the Stoker Tower to show respect for the Pokémon laid to rest there. Many trainers like to take a break from travel to swim in the ocean or rest in the shade of one of the many palm trees that grow along the road. The Pokémon here are very skittish and have a tendency to stay buried under the sand when humans approach, but they can be seen occasionally as they head from the sand into the water or vice-versa.

Pokémon Available by Fishing:
[To fish, bring your fishing rod and generate a random number from one to ten. Whatever Pokémon you roll, you fish up. There's no limit to how many fishing posts you can make, but any Pokémon too strong for your rod will simply get away without being fished up. Good luck!]
1-2 = Magikarp
3 = Horsea or Shellder
4 = Staryu or Carvanha (Requires a Good Rod)
5-6 = Remoraid or Chinchou (Requires a Good Rod)
7-9 = Luvdisc or Alomomola (Requires a Good Rod)
10 = Corsola or Mantyke(Requires a Good Rod)
A Heart Scale may be obtained from here once a month. An additional one may also be acquired by catching a Luvdisc, but only once.
Purple Nectar may also be gathered here.

  The sand shifted and twisted, and slowly crept from behind the tree, revealing itself to be upset. It groaned and yawned as if was angrily awoken from it's sleep. The mound of suddenly had a kid's play shovel sticking out of its head, which threw off Rowlet and Shuppet for a moment. The sand heap's eyes glowed blue - revealing itself to be the Pokemon, Sandygast.
Ryou brought out his PokeDex to capture its data - and realized that it was a Ghost type!
"Capser, Whisper, it's a Ghost type! We're going to add him to our team-" Ryou didn't finish his sentence as his Rowlet rather dramatically fell tout of the air and onto the ground, soundly sleeping. "Wow... so that was Hypnosis? Okay!" Ryou looked to Shuppet, who wasn't affected due to its ability Insomnia. However, Ryou got a bit emotional due to his Rowlet falling - he wanted to befriend this Pokemon, not necessarily hurt it. However, his mouth ran before his mind could assess the situation.
"Whisper, Shadow Ball!" Whisper the Shuppet opened her small mouth, and gathered dark-sinister energy into the form of a ball, and launched it at the base of the Sandygast's form. It hit, throwing mounds of sand into the air in a mini-explosion. It became difficult to see, to which Ryou noted he'd have to make sure he's more specific with his commands and thinks of this type of thing happening in the future.
"Sandygast! Come out, please! We were just resting and we got startled." Ryou shouted, trying to save the situation from becoming a horrific failed capture. Ryou shouted to Whisper."Whisper, I think it got scared when it woke up and realized we were sitting on it. We have to calm him down... And I'm pretty sure I made it worse."
As he and Shuppet looked around, Ryou returned Rowlet to it's Pokeball. It was then that Ryou couldn't move. His leg was being stopped by Sandygast. The Pokemon did not want to let him go. The sand finally began to rest back on the ground, so Whisper and Ryou could see once more. The Sandygast seemed to be clinging to Ryou's leg as if it were... scared. "Shuppet, uh, tell Sandygast here that we don't want to hurt it. We want to become friends. And we promise not to step or sleep on it anymore."
Shuppet followed Ryou's orders and got face to face with the Sandygast who'd gotten itself latched onto it's trainer. It did its usually Pokemon squabble which Ryou didn't seem to understand, but if it communicated what he wanted, he wasn't complaining.
The Shuppet and Sandygast eventually got to talking, and let go of Ryou's leg.
Shuppet zipped up to Ryou's face and started talking excitedly in its Pokemon talk. "Uh... are you trying to tell me he's ready for me to catch him?"

Wobble... wobble... click!
Ryou picked up the Pokeball for his new Sandygast. "Whew, that was a bit more stressful than it needed to be, huh?" Ryou let out Casper, who had woken up and was positively grumpy that he had been put to sleep. He chirped angrily for a bit before stumbling upon the berries that had fallen from the tree. He started pecking at one, eating it piece by piece.
"Oh, huh, I guess we should pick some berries, huh?
So together, Ryou, Whisper and Casper all gathered a few berries into Ryou's berry pouch.
And with that, they came upon the Floating City of Sohmer.
"We're here guys. Time to find the gym."
