★ "Still thanks… It has been… years since any one wanted to eat with me…" She entered the shop and went to greet the owners but the look in their eyes was that look and for a moment she hesitated ready to leave and just go home and forge about everything even having a friend and soon Tonbo would forget about her, however she didn’t instead she spoke quietly.
"Good day, I was hoping you had some matcha, hanami, and mitarashi dango available…”~ Good child… the matcha dango will be delecious~
She did her best to give a small smile as she moved off to the side so Tonbo would be able to enter, this was the first time that she had received those eyes and not retaliated in any way instead she tried to be respectful and ignore them… That suna boy would do wonders for her because he was the first to treat her as a person not a monster.★

★ Yumei smiled hearing Tonbo order his food and she reached in to grab her money not realizing he planned on paying for her too and she didn’t expect him too either. She was just glad he had agreed to go with her to get food, but she wondered how long it would last once his family realized who and what she was. Most of the kids she knew as a small child had been turned against her or told they couldn’t play with her and she had suddenly become rather alone and angry over it. She had also accidentally hurt other children because of the kind of control she needed, but she had more of that control now.
She went over to Tonbo and held out enough money for hers as she figured they would pay together a small smile was on her lips and for a moment she looked slightly shy, "Here you go…”~ Silly girl…~
The Ichibi was smart and more observant than Yumei was and it was due in part to his age, but Yumei would not call him old that would have been a bit of an insult and that wouldn’t have been fun to deal with. She felt awkward, this is what she was supposed to do.. Right?★

Tonbo looked as the girl handed out enough money to pay for hers. "Alright, we'll pay together but next time is on me." He said with a smile as he took the money and gave them to the shop owner. He got a strange look by the owner but payed no mind to it and pulled Yumei to sit down with him wile they waited for there food.

★ She was glad when he took her money as it felt wrong to let him pay for her stuff, but then he mentioned that the next time it was on him and she smiled to her self spinning away from him and the owners so that she missed the look that was given to Tonbo. Yumei hadn’t felt like a normal person in so long she didn’t think that it still existed within her self, that feeling was cut short when she felt a hand on her before she was pulled into a seat, "If that is what you want…I wouldn’t mind having dango again.”
~ Silly , naive, girl… you don’t understand…~ Yumei was curious as to what the Ichibi meant but she was also unsure if she should ask and even if she did would he answer her. Probably not as the Biju liked to torment her but from his words she started to wonder what he meant… on the other hand she hadn’t sat next to any one in quite some time and she hoped her table manners were still up to par which embarrassed her enough for a light dusting of blush covered her cheeks for a moment.★

Tonbo smiled and nodded bit, "I would love to have dango with you again. Maybe we'll go on a mission somewhere and try all sorts of foods." He said sounding sure of himself even though he had no idea if they would even be on the same team together.

★ Yumei wasn’t sure if she was feeling happiness right then but the emotion was very different than her normal range of emotion but at the same time it felt oddly familiar to her. She was happy he wanted to hang out with her again and it even seemed that he wanted to be on the same squad as her, but as a Jinchuriki she wasn’t sure if Kazekage sama would even allow her out of the village. Feeling down about that thought she changed the subject "I‘m looking forward to the Chunin exams… how about you?”
~…~ She was really looking forward to the examns and hoped that she‘d do well enough to pass and become a chunin it was the first step in her becoming stronger so that she could break her chains and feel freedom.★

Tonbo's smile faded a bit when the exams where mentioned. "I guess, I don't really know. I mean we just started being genin. I don't think I'd be any good and from what I heard of the exams are pretty scary." He said a bit worried that he'd be no good to in a fight with another genin or worse he'd end up dead. "We don't even have our teams formed, can we even go to the exams without a team?"

★ Feeling the air change Yumei figured she had picked a bad subject and was more than willing to change it but before she could he went on talking about what he thought of the Exams. Yumei had yet to be assigned to a team which had upset her so she had decided to do as she wanted… at least until the Kazekage summoned her.
Tondbo did surprise her as to how easily scared he was but he had decided to become a ninja, it confused her. "You seem so easily scared… how come?”
~…~Yumie was back to being curious about things especially Tonbo and she wasn’t sure if that was a good or bad thing but dispite it all she actually liked hanging out with him. Tonbo looked away from the girl when she asked why he was so afraid. "I guess, I seem like a big wimp don't I?" He rubbed the back of his head. "I guess I just see how dangerous our world is with huge monsters, animals the size of buildings, people who can do who knows what. I just try to survive, its flight or fight and I'm too weak to fight so all I have left to do to survive is fly away." He said with a bit of a sad smile on his face.

Tonbo looked up at Yumei when she said she would protect him, he blushed and looked away and was thankful when there food was ready. "Um lets dig in." He said and started to eat after he started to eat he looked at Yumei's eyes. "So I guess I should come with you to the exams if your going to protect me and and I guess if I'm going to try and be stronger, I should also try out for the exams." He said trying not to trip over his words.

It had been far too long since she had eaten dango, her eyes closed and her head tilted back as she savored the first bite in eleven years. "So good…”
*I’ll eat yours next Shukaku..…*She didn’t talk much as one bite became two then three and soon the first of the three she picked was gone and the world seemed a little brighter. Then her eyes were met by his and she froze making sure to hide the darkness that lurked there. His words sounded brave almost but Yumei would not push him to attend the Exams… it had to be something that he wanted, "Shizuke-kun I will not force you to participate in the exams… this has to be something you want to do. Tonbo nodded a bit now feeling a bit unsure. "Maybe your right but I don't want to burden you." He placed another dango in his mouth. "I'll think about it but you'd at least need a sparring partner if you want to enter. I could help you train and maybe I'll get stronger as well at least a bit." He said with a bit of a smile.
