Lightning Release (, Raiton) is one of the five basic elemental nature transformation techniques that allows the user to generate lightning by increasing the high frequency vibrations of their chakra, allowing for piercing damage and fast movement. The electricity paralyses the target so that they are unable to move and leave them vulnerable to a finishing strike. When the technique is released from their bodies, and thus not requiring physical contact, it does not move as fast as true lightning. Instead, due to the control the user has to exert over it, it moves far slower, which can give opponents time to still react.

Denkyuu [Light bulb]
After performing the needed hand seals, a ball of light, about the size of a baseball, will appear in the hand of the user. This would allow them to see better when traveling around at night. It will wear away after five minutes of use.

Raiton: Sanda- Hakushu [Lighting Release: Thunder Clap]
The user creates a massive clap of thunder overhead that is designed to intimidate the opponent or at least make them frightened enough to force an opening (i.e. jumping at the sound). An alternate use of the jutsu is to mask the sound of something else moving, which may be useful for stealth etc. When used by one who has mastered this jutsu, it can cause a temporary deafening of those near the user

Raiton: Seiteki Shokku [Lightning Release: Static Shock]
Must have: A metal object.
Description: By focusing chakra into a metal object, the user can supply the object with a small charge that will cause a static shock to the next person who touches it; this applies to the user as well. This shock will be strong enough to cause a sudden jolt in the affected.

Raiton: Raisentan [Lightning Release: Lightning Tip]
Must have: Metal bladed weapon.
Description: The user guides his Raiton chakra to settle a small amount of chakra at the tip or tips of a wielded electricity-conducting weapon. The chakra causes that area to glow with a yellow gleam and leave a trail of yellow light as it moves through the air. That tip will cause a very mild electrostatic shock to skin other than the user's that comes in contact with it. This does not require the use of handseals

Seiteki Suji no Jutsu [Static Strings Technique]
This skill allows the user to create strings of electricity that can either act physically as strings, or as a medium that can send small shocks to an opponent. One of this technique's most useful features is its ability to allow the user to detect outsiders. When the strings are placed around an area, they are often fairly difficult to see, and unnoticed by the quick eye. But when the string is used to detect outsiders, they can adapt a quality that is string-like and electrical at the same time. This quality makes the static strings into a string of electricity, but with such a weak current that it is rarely noticed by Shinobi who accidentally walk through the strings. However, when this happens, the user at once will feel a small shock in their fingers, or where ever else they are keeping the strings intact. But unless the opponent felt the weak current as they walked through the strings, the opponent will usually never know the strings were there. But beyond its ability to detect outsiders, this skill can be used as a normal string when it is needed but none is around, or it can be used to create small shocks to other people. However, the shocks are only a little bit stronger than static electricity, and usually do no damage at all.

Nagare Isou no Jutsu [Current Transfer Skill]
An overall simple yet very effective technique, the Cloud-nin -creates a sort of electrical current on his hand, this current can then be transferred onto any weapon he happens to be holding at that moment be it a kunai, senbon, shuriken, or even a sword. The next physical attack he performs is charged with this electrical current, if he blocks a weapon attack with his own weapon the current transfers over shocking the attacker. If by chance the user is not carrying a weapon he can transfer this current into his opponent's weapon shocking him, or can even hit him with this current.

Dendou Kariyou no Jutsu [Electric Overdose Technique]
The user takes one post to channel a large amount of electricity into a limb, making the chakra visible. Upon contact with the opponent, the electricity is shot into him and the target’s weight almost doubles, making it harder for the victim to move.

Raiton: Raikou Boruto no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Bolt Technique]
A simple technique in concept and execution, in which the user performs the necessary hand seals and then emits a short bolt of lightning from his or her hand. This is a simple bolt, akin to a fireball, as opposed to being a continuous stream. On impact, the target will suffer minor electric shocks.

Kaminari Bunshin no Jutsu [Lightning Clone Technique]
This is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes lightning to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Kaminari Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out attacks on its target. Also, elemental clones can think, but only on the rudimentary level, and the concentration for their jutsu needs to be maintained by the user. When this clone disperses, it reverts into a spark of electricity.

* Special Notes *
- Each bunshin takes 1/10 of your chakra pool to make.
- Bunshin can only travel a moderate distance from the user
- Bunshin have 1/4 the power of the user. This includes weapons, items, powers, speed, reaction speed, etc.
- Elemental Bunshin can perform taijutsu, non-elemental jutsu, and elemental jutsu of its own element that the user knows. Note however, that an elemental clone only has as much chakra as the user gave it, and some of it is used to maintain the clone. Attempting to use a jutsu the clone no longer has enough chakra for will cause the bunshin to burst without the jutsu being performed.
- Will disperse after a single hit or upon the user's command.

Raiton: Furiokosukeidenki [Lightning Release: Electrical Enhancer]
This jutsu uses low voltage electric jolts that are emitted from the chakra of the user in order to amplify the damage caused by any hand to hand attack the user has made on the target by simply sending voltage currents against the nerves of the target.

Raiton: Hagane no Tsubasa[Lightning Release: Wings of Steel]
The user performs the needed handseals to cause a rock-slide by sending a wave of electric energy upwards a cliff.

Raiton: Raikyu [Lightning Release: Lightning Ball]
The user performs the needed handseals, gathering chakra and creating electricity, creating a ball of electrical energy and launching it at the enemy.

Raiton: Kougeki Boreto [Lightning Release: Offensive Bolt]
Must have: Two metal projectiles.
Description: After a few hand seals the user charges his two metal projectiles, one in each hand, with electricity creating a bolt between them. The user can then throw them with the bolt in-between zapping anything that it passes through.

Raiton: Kaminari Waia- Shokku [Lightning Release: Lightning Wire Shock]
Must have: Any kind of electricity-conducting wire or chain.
Description: This is a technique where the user attempts to conduct an electrical shock through a wire reaching to his target. Though this could be done at a lower rank, only this class of difficulty allows the user to create enough effect for a harmful electrical current. This jutsu does not require the use of handseals.

Raiton: Dendou Underi [Lightning Release: Electric Wave]
The user prepares for this technique with a set of handseals before attempting to send a circular planer faintly-yellow electric wave from their midsection expanding in all directions. The wave is basically to ward many enemies off, since it's painful to be touched by, because it stings many times.

Raiton: Magunechikkute [Lightning Release: Magnetic Hands]
A technique that does not require hand seals, the user's hand would become magnetic and they would be able to draw up silver, coins, jewelry, etc. This jutsu is powerful enough to be used to attract weapons up to as large as a fuuma shuriken to the user's hands, though there is still the danger of being cut by the weapon if the user isn't used to catching weapons in flight. A skilled user of the jutsu is able to use it to only slightly alter the path of a projectile, making them miss the user without having to catch them. This ability does not require the use of handseals.

Shishinkei Shibugoretsu [Optic Nerve Disruption]
This technique is like the full paralysis except it has to be in contact with the hand to the targets eyes and it basically screws up the nerve impulses for the target's eyes for a little while. If it's messed up or not finished it results in the target being blurry eyed for a minute or a few minutes, if done correctly then it blinds them for a little while.

Raiton: Yaiba no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Blade Technique]
This skill allows the user to charge chakra in the form of electricity in the palm. Then, the chakra eventually works up to the fingers, where a blade of electricity is formed between the index and middle finger. The blade is very thin, and depending on the user's chakra, anywhere from 8 inches to a foot long. It is around 2 to 3 inches wide, and it lacks a hilt. The blade is held between the fingers, but as soon as it is let go, the blade vanishes into thin air. The strength of this blade isn't as strong as a normal blade, as it is nowhere as dense or as heavy. But because the blade is very thin, it is capable of doing some major damage, if used properly. However, this blade can also hurt the user, anywhere except for the fingers where the blade is held.

Kumo Tate no Jutsu [Cloud Shield Technique]
After flashing a series of hand seals the shinobi uses chakra to condense the air immediately in front of him into a thick, chakra-embedded barrier made of cloud. These barrier blocks particular weapon attacks that are coming straight ahead, and will also block ninjutsu-based projectiles that are at the same power as the shield.

Raiton: Raikou Hitofuki no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Blast Technique]
An upgraded version of Lightning Bolt, this jutsu works the same way except now it is a continuous blast of electricity. The blast can be ended prematurely by the user. A target hit by this technique will experience quite painful electric shocks, however they are still relatively minor.

Hikuhiku Eda no Jutsu [Twitching Limb Technique]
An off-shoot of the Electric Overdose Technique, after the user channels a large amount of electricity in to his hand, making the chakra visible, the user can attack a specific body area of his opponent and fire electricity into it once. Whatever area is struck the muscles immediately begin to constrict and twitch in extreme pain and causes the limb to be unable to move.

Dendou Hari Hirogari no Jutsu [Electric Needle Spread Technique]
Generally used as a ranged defensive maneuver when a Cloud-nin wishes to hit multiple targets in front of him. First, he begins to grow electricity-based needles all over the front area of his body. Anyone using a taijutsu on him, between now and when he attacks, from the front side will get a slight sting, attacking from the sides or from the back is still effective however. Once the needles have grown the user then flashes one hand seal and all the electric needles launch themselves in a front spreading maneuver towards anyone in their way. Anyone who is hit by the needles receives a nasty shock and slight numbness to the afflicted part.

Raiton: Raikou Kousen no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Lightning Beam Technique]
This is the pinnacle of the single-target ranged lightning jutsu. The attack from Lightning Blast has been upgraded further, making it into a beam twice as wide as before, and much more damaging. Targets hit head-on with this jutsu will experience a fantastic amount of pain and be stunned after the jutsu ends. Also, nearly missing with this jutsu also has some effect. Because of the high amount of voltage, small lightning bolts can arc from the beam to someone standing within two feet of it, causing shocks a little bit more damaging than those of Lightning Bolt technique. This jutsu can be ended prematurely by the user.

Dendou Hebi no Jutsu [Electric Snake Technique]
A capturing technique, after flashing the necessary handseals the shinobi brings electric chakra into his hands, shoves his fingers into the ground, and fires electricity through the ground towards an opponent. The target can generally see this technique coming as small bolts of Lightning dance across the ground towards them, later if they have done nothing to avoid this technique a chain of lightning bursts out of the ground and wraps itself around the ankles of the target. As long as the nin has his hands his fingers buried into ground the target is ensnared. While ensnared the nin is unable to move his legs but is still able to use his arms and hands, however for every minute the user has been ensnared he receives an electric shock.

Raiton: Enryuu Jiseitai [Lightning Release: Body of Electric Flow]
This jutsu basically allows the user to send electrical current out to anything that makes contact with them that they're not already in contact with. The electricity will hit anything not already touching them (a.k.a. your clothes, the air, and the ground). Since it's an active effort and it's a full body flow the likelihood of a person using this move and being very active themselves isn't too high, and slows their movements and actions down to 40% or less.

Raiton: Ikazuchi no Kiba [Lightning Release: Thunder Fang]
The user performs the needed handseals and creates an electrified chakra-filled essence that rises into the clouds to activate lightning bolts that come crashing down on his desired target. The amount of chakra uses to rise to the clouds is equal to the power and damage the lightning bolts cause.

Raiton: Kaminari Shuriken [Lightning Release: Lightning Shuriken]
The user augments the shuriken with Raiton chakra then throws it above his enemy. This will rain down sever bolts of lightning towards the opponent, opening passing over or hitting them. This technique does not require the use of handseals.

Raiton: Myaku Kyuutai [Lightning Release : Pulse Orb]
After handseals, A sphere of ration chakra gathers at the user's palm which would release several lightning bolts over a wide area.

Raivu Waiya- [Live Wire]
The user sends a visible line of electricity that travels along the ground from the user to an opponent, controlled by the user at a considerable speed. This gush if electricity can only travel to as far as 10 meters.

Raiton: Raizou Ikazuchi wo Utte [Lightning Release: Thunderbolt Strike]
Must have: Raiton-tuned weapon.
Description: Using their weapon, the user creates several thunderbolts that cut through the ground.

Raiton: Sa-ji Furasshu [Lightning Release: Surge Flash]
Upon terminating his handseals, the user's hands begin to light up with little sparks of electricity and then once he directs a thrust at a certain direction, they shoot out several waves of lightning glints.

Raiton: Zapu Be-mu [Lightning Release: Zap Beam]
Must have: Electricity-conducting weapon or Raiton-tuned weapon.
Description: The user performs a series of handseals. Wielding his weapon, the user drives it into the air towards his target emitting a beam of electricity currents with the diameter of less than a foot directly at the target.

Raiton: Gyakukyokusei no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Reverse Polarity]
This technique allows the user to shoot a ball of negatively charged particles. It is invisible but can be felt by most Raiton users. If it strikes a metal weapon or item, it blasts such weapon (and holder) back a great distance. It has a medium effective range before it dissipates into the air.

Zenshinfuzui [Total Paralysis]
Total paralysis is where you focus enough electrical current into the central nervous system of the target's body that it makes a complete nerve shutdown, making the target limp as a rag doll. However since this requires an exact jolt and exact location it means the user has a much smaller target to aim for, and must be very close. So, in other words, using this on a person requires that the user make a connection with their hand and the top or backside of the target’s head.

Shinkou Arashi no Jutsu [Rising Storm Technique]
A defensive technique that covers the immediate area of the Cloud nin from a large degree of angles. Collecting electricity through his entire body he immediately pushes all of it into the ground below him, almost instantly bolts of lightning begin rising from the ground in a rhythmic fashion covering his front, back, and side, but still allows him to be attacked from above. Most form of projectiles (i.e. shuriken, senbon, kunai) are deflected in the process but strong ninjutsu can drive though this maneuver.

Rensa Raikou no Jutsu [Chain Lightning Technique]
A useful technique generally used in an attempt to take out a group of enemies by surprise. Forming electricity into both hands the nin launches a continuous stream of Lightning at one opponent, if the technique hits one person it immediately launches itself at the next non-friendly person in range. The lightning chain specifically targets water that is found in the body, so bunshins are generally left untouched unless it's a Suiton Bunshin. The original number of targets this jutsu can initially hit is three.

Dendou Kaitengi no Jutsu [Electric Gyroscope Technique]
This technique offers the user both offensive and defensive capabilities, presenting some interesting strategic options. The user forms the necessary handseals and, by focusing his chakra, creates a pair of rings of electricity around himself, that spin about like a gyroscope, maintaining a constant electric field throughout its radius, which is half a meter from the user. If anything from outside attempts to enter this radius, the rings will shoot a blast of electricity potent enough to knock back a person and completely deflect any projectile. The shield will effectively block any taijutsu weaker attacks, and any weaker ninjutsu attacks. An attacker using a strong taijutsu will be able to enter the radius of the gyroscope, but will still suffer an electric shock as he enters. The user is able to move around while the shield is active, however at a slightly slower speed.

Dendou Bakuhatsu no Jutsu [Electric Detonation Technique]
Flashing a number of Hand seals the user causes all lightning bunshins that are under his specific control to explode into a large burst of electricity, shocking anyone that happens to be near them.

Chidori [1000 Birds]
A lightning jutus that is concentrated in the users palm and trusted at the opponent at high speeds.Very difficult to counter an incoming on the user counter attack
unless you have the Sharingan.

Chidori Nagashi [1000 Birds Current]
A full body chidori that can also be charged into metal objects or be spread out into the air or ground.

Chidori Senbon [1000 Birds Needle]
Chidori in the form of needles that can be thrown to pin down an opponent or to injure them.

Chidori Eisou [Thousand Birds Sharp Spear]
The user is able to shape the Lightning Element to form an extending blade of lightning. Though unstated, this blade probably takes on Chidori's characteristics,
including it's ability to cut through anything which stands in its path, allowing the sword to strike its target with ease. This attack may also be similar to Chidori Nagashi, causing the
target to go numb from the electrical charge.

Gian [False Darkness]
After gathering a large amount of chakra into ones mouth, they open it and exhale to release a strong bolt of electricity from their mouth. This strong attack can be defended against by a powerful attack or defense.

Raiton: Go Hibana Yubi no Jutsu [Lightning Release: Five-Spark Finger Technique]
The user creates a small ball of electricity on the tip of each finger that he can shoot out at any time he wishes, while the jutsu is active. (gets 10 shots max before having to be re-used, though if they have less then 10 fingers, they only get as many shots as how many fingers they have) These balls of electricity travel very quickly and fade after traveling a range of 10 meters. Each ball is able to cause a convulsion and a light burn when they strike the target.

Raiton: Raigeki noYoroi [Lightning Release: Lightning Armor]
Must have: Raiton-tuned weapon.
Description: Rotating their weapon, the user surrounds himself with electricity which protects him by electrocuting anyone who makes contact with it. This does not require the use of handseals

Raiton: Rairyu no Tatsumaki [Lightning Release: Lightning Dragon Tornado]
The user performs the needed handseals, gathering electricity onto one spot, the user spins around very quickly, forming it into the likeness into a head of a dragon. Once lightning is drawn upon his body, a spinning current will occur affecting anyone or anything in the area, temporarily trapping them in a spiral-like vortex and causing great damage. This is a very destructive jutsu.

Raivu Waiya-: Senkou [Live Wire: Flash]
Requirements: Raivu Waiya- [Live Wire]
Description: The user slams their palms to the ground and sends a visible line of electricity that travels along the ground from the user to an opponent, controlled by the user at a very significant speed. This gush of electricity can travel to as far as twenty meters and is hard to dodge due to its speed.

Yobigoe no Raikou no Jutsu [Call of Lightning Technique]
A dangerous technique not only in the sense of it's power but also by it the fact of its inability to be controlled. Forming the necessary hand seals the shinobi begins to collect mist in his immediate area much like Kirigakure no Jutsu, however it begins to rise and form into a thunderstorm cloud instead of laying dormant like mist does. Now powered by chakra the cloud will begin to strike random nin with lightning, the power of this lighting has the ability to cause massive third-degree burns, majorly constricted breathing, and possible fibrillation. This technique lasts for 10 minutes.

Hando no Semeku [Hands of Torture]
Considered by most to be more of a torture technique then an actual attack the user can lay his hands on his opponent and send several thousands of volts of electricity into the target. Depending how many times a nin has hit the opponent with this will depend on what happens. One time of being hit by this technique causes minor burns, chest constrictions, blurred vision, and overall pain. An additional time of being hit by this any other time during the battle will cause on-site second-degree burns, partial blindness, and an inability to breathe. A third case of exposure will cause a third degree burn on the spot that the hands touched and will cause temporary paralysis.

Raiton: Shichū Shibari [Lightning Release: Four Pillar Bind]
Four giant rock pillars are summoned around the enemy, then shoot bolts of lightning, immobilizing the target and possibly doing damage to them.

Raiton: Jiten Rakou Dangan [Lightning Release: Spinning Lightning Shot]
Bring forth lightning that is compressed into a ball that sends forth shots of lightning, that spin through the air that has slight drill qualities, allowing the shot to partially get into the opponents body, giving them a powerful shock to the system, that can render the closest organ it attacks paralyzed for a few moments.

Inbikiri Ekido no Jutsu [Lightning Rage Technique]
After making the necessary hand seals the user slap the ground (as many times as one wants) for every time they slap the ground a blast wave of lightning radiates outwards 50ft

Sai Sen no Jutsu [Rewire Technique]
Making physical contact with an enemy shinobi the nin shoves Static Strings into his opponent and himself, by hot wiring the electrical impulses of the target's brain he disables the target and assumes control of the opponent's body. While in this state the shinobi can only control the target body and has little control over his own body which will remain standing in place. Major problems with this technique is that by severing the strings you break the connection between the target and the nin, also the maximum range the controlled body can move from the original body is 50 feet, otherwise the strings will break.

Limelight
This jutsu is depicted as the strongest of all Lightning jutsu in existence. The incredible destructive power of this jutsu can reduce an entire Hidden Village and everyone within the area to nothing but ash. Shien has referred to it as a way of Smiting, similar to what Gods themselves do to the unworthy, sometimes seireitou also refers to this as well. This jutsu requires 4 highly-skilled ninja to use it to stand in a cardinal formation.The area in which to be affected by this jutsu depends on how far the formation is spread out. The formation can stretch as far as an entire castle. The extremely large amount of chakra used will drain the users of almost all their chakra.

Raiden no Moui [Raiden's Fury]
A technique often used for the sake of demolitions purposes, the user flashes a number of seals and finally ends the series with an odd looking seal that auspiciously looks like the seal that the Yamanaka use for their own techniques. The user of this technique now must keep his eyes set on one specific object that he can see through this seal for the next two minutes, if he moves or does anything else but aim during this period the technique is cancelled. After this, the skies suddenly open up, and a huge beam of white lightning strikes where the user was aiming, decimating the target and causing powerful shockwaves to affect the area 500 feet from the point of impact, most likely decimating anything with a foundation. One can generally tell that this technique is occurring by the fact that the skies turn black, thunder begins sounding, and it starts to rain during the time of preparation as well as a sudden increase of heat.

Raiton: Jūrokuchū Shibari [Lightning Release: Sixteen Pillar Bind]
The user creates sixteen giant balls of lighting to surround and shock the enemy. Once having done that they immediately charge the opponent and explode once they come together.
