Kallichore wasn't sure how to feel. On the one hand, she beheld a Lieutenant, shorter than she and lacking in the pants department. This girl, brunette, was likely very new given her station but Kallichore knew better than to assume such things. The eternal senshi didn't approach the girl without probable cause and instead hung back and watched from the lip of a rooftop several buildings behind her. The lieutenant's signature had stuck out in the night, for Kallichore had not run into many Captains or Lieutenants lately. Maybe there was a Negaverse PR recruiting event and their numbers had swelled? She certainly hoped not. The eternal was debating her options: approach and possibly speak to the Lieutenant, see where the brunette had stood and just how much information she was given at the time of her recruitment; wait and see if the Lieutenant breaks the law or assaults someone and intervene or stay back like a creep and watch... like a creep. Kallichore was good at being a creep, which was something she realized very early on in her career. Graceangel I made their location vague in case Pie was more likely to be in one place versus another, so go ahead and pick a place you feel most comfortable. If not, I can edit something in! Also, I didn't know what Pie might be doing, so we can just assume Kalli's been following her at a distance but hasn't made her presence known yet. Pie's more than welcome to sense her though. I hope that's easy enough to start with!

Well, Miss Pie had been out and about. She was supposed to be gathering these quotas. She had been asked a few times what she had been doing for them. Quite frankly, she felt a little put off to do a damn thing for them. She was supposed to be getting something out of this. So far, she hadn't gotten a damn thing except for always being asked why she wasn't helping others harvest energy. Or, how come she wasn't out there helping patrol. Patrol what? HER city that SHE lived in?
Of course, she was only just barely beginning to realize all these people she was meeting and running into at night. They all lived there too. For her part, she bore no a lick of interest in this 'war' of theirs. Whenever she heard someone go on about it, she'd just roll her eyes. She'd smile at them all the while thinking, '<******** your war. I really don't even care.' Of course, she was smart enough to keep that to herself.
Still, she felt if it at least appeared that she was out trying to do what was being told she needed to do. They'd just leave her the hell alone. As it was, she was spending her time researching and learning. She had been watching from a distance what some other negaverse agents had been doing. Studying and observing with her black cloak having stupidly been left open.
Then, she felt it. She recalled that feeling from the time she ran into the girl with the eggs. Forever in the infamy of her memory was that incident. This though. This was a heavier feeling, and she realized that it was a stronger power signature. She slowly turned her head to look around. Quickly, she pulled her black cloak that was rather long and flowing like a sith robe. It was over her head and cloaking her body in half a second.
Then, she went scurrying off behind stuff and out of sight. When debating what to do. Should she run away? <******** no. Running is for wimps. Not that she was any kind of fighter. The truth really was that she would in fact run away if she was able to access immediate danger to her person; especially her face. She leaned out from behind a rooftop building to peer in the direction of the power signature.
She then darted off and jumped onto another rooftop to get closer. She needed a better look. As she moved, she pulled a slip of paper out of her pouch. She slipped it into her mouth where her saliva melted the paper wet with her spit. Her teeth and tongue separating it into several smaller rolls. She tucked them up where the the gums from her upper right teeth wrapped around into the gums of her lips. Like a little pocket. She tucked them there allowing them to take on that special quality of grossness. A hand slipping into pull her straw out. She didn't put it to her lips, but she had it in hand under her cloak. Just in case. Just in case...
One more time, she leaned over to peer out at the senshi afar off. She looked tall. She looked much more formidable than the one with eggs.
'Maybe I'll try for some diplomacy at first. I wonder if she even saw me.'

Smart, smart enough to know how to scan, which bodes well and for ill for the Lieutenant. Once the young lady started to move and pulled that cloak over her head, Kallichore stood up, knowing full well she'd been spotted. The eternal senshi had a spot of pride for the young lady, feeling more than seeing as she darted from place to place. If it was a fight she was looking for, Kallichore would oblige, but was not out for blood. The eternal approached the Lieutenant, making her movements obvious, sticking to areas of the rooftops that were well-lit. Kallichore couldn't see what weapon the Lieutenant might have been packing, but it was always safe to assume it was something particularly unpleasant. Power distinctions aside, better safe than sorry. If worse came to worse, Kallichore was exceedingly better at retreating, especially if this Lieutenant had the higher-ups on speed dial. The senshi stopped roughly one roof away, watching. "Is there something you'd like to say, Lieutenant? I just came to talk, nothing else."

"To say? Not really. Maybe it'll be my undoing, but whenever I feel anyone; I always go to see who it is. I like knowing things. Let me ask you. Just because you're obviously stronger than me. You think that'll just have me run away?"
Big talk for someone who did in fact have no qualms about running away. That didn't mean she wouldn't build up her bravado and boast till her ego was ready to be popped with the slightest thing like a balloon that was overfilled barely touching a sharp object.
Still, this was all still new. She was treating it all like a game or a dance depending. Pie stepped out from behind the last object she had been hiding behind. She kept her cloak mostly pulled around her, but her face was clearly visible. Her fierce blue eyes dancing as she took a few moments to give this senshi a look over. Yes. She was possibly in over her head. Just how much so... she had no idea.
"You just came to talk? I would take talking over egg whites in my hair any day. Hopefully, this isn't just another one of those talks about people concerned about my lack of pants."
Still at the ready, she fiddled with her straw between her fingers. She was ready to go the moment this little exchange started to unwind.

Kallichore was appreciative of the Lieutenant's honesty. "No. Like I said, I'm not interested in harming you. Even if I were one rank lower, I'd still not be interested in a fight, or in chasing you." Not like that would make you feel any better, I think. And Kallichore was certain the Lieutenant knew that, if she wanted to, the eternal senshi could easily track her down again. Such were the perks of being a veteran in the war, so to speak. The eternal senshi did note her lack of pants and shrugged, crossing her arms across her chest. "I've seen worse, trust me. There are senshi without skirts running around, so your wardrobe should be the least of anyone's concerns..." She bent over slightly at the waist and gestured to her own outfit. "I mean, look at all of this." Belts upon belts that didn't hold in or hold up anything in particular, more like they were simply meant to be decorative and/or annoying depending on who asked. "You should have seen me at super. I looked like I picked a fight with a wood chipper and lost." Kallichore chuckled quietly. It was her attempt at humor. The eternal upgrade was a step up in the wardrobe department for certain. "But before we talk, I should introduce myself. I'm Eternal Sailor Kallichore, Senshi of Madness. With whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?" she asked, tilting her head slightly in respect to Piemontite. "The reason why I wanted to speak with you is that I was interested in your reasoning for joining the war and whether or not you know what your superiors have been up to in the meantime." Not that I expect you to believe me, but one has to start somewhere. "Would you indulge me?"

Pie narrowed her eyes at the other. Was this person being serious about not attacking her? She thought about the page she had met one day recently. How that person hadn't been interested in fighting or attacking her. Maybe this person really wasn't? She tried to relax, but she couldn't help but feel like she best keep some guard up.
Pie looked over the outfit and smiled a legit full on grin. She hadn't opportunity to see the wide variety of get ups lots of these people involved in this thing ran around in. "Well, at least your boots are cute. I'd hate what I am wearing if my boots weren't so blissfully awesome. A good heel. Some pleasant lacing on the sides. I can live with this. Shoot. If it were up to me, I'd probably run around mostly naked. Or, as naked as possible."
She was grinning with her eyes full of promiscuous and mischievous ideas. Hearing the name, she filed it away in her mind. She mouthed the word madness in a silent echo. "I'm Lt. Piemontite. I'm not sure I'm a soldier of anything. I didn't join this s**t to join any damn war. I was under the impression some people would help me pursue some interests I have. I really don't care about any of it."
Man.. she was just too easily laying her cards out for everyone to see lately. She'd have to develop a little more shrewdness in the way she'd handle giving and getting information.
"Why are you in this?"

The eternal senshi tapped her chin with a gloved finger. "If you get any less clothed, I'd worry about you catching cold." Attracting the 'wrong' sort of attention was all about perspective. Lieutenant Piemontite seemed to be a very self-aware, confident young woman. If Pie ever saw Kallichore out of uniform, the brunette would be severely disappointed in the senshi's discomfort while being in mundane form. "The Cosmic Tailor seems to know what he or she is doing, for the most part, but I do question some of their decisions..." I was under the impression some people would help me pursue some interests I have. I really don't care about any of it.Kallichore visibly frowned at this, her brows furrowing in concern. "...they didn't even tell you what the purpose of joining the war was? Well... that doesn't really surprise me." She turned away for a moment, clasping her hands behind her back and she stood sharply against the night sky backdrop. "So they enlist you under false pretenses without telling you that, by powering up to pursue these," air quotes, " other interests, you're essentially carrying a giant neon sign above your head just asking for someone less pleasant than I to come calling. That doesn't seem very fair to me." She turned back to Pie and sighed as if to scorn the Negaverse officers who so blatantly omitted the truth just to swell their ranks. "That's how I found you - I felt the energy, I knew you were just starting out. Anyone else can do that too. You're actually much safer as a civilian... even if you don't want to be involved in the war, you proclaim yourself a soldier when you become Piemontite. Did they explain that to you?" Honestly, Kallichore felt pretty bad for Piemontite, even if her other interests weren't legal or even ethical - a life was a life. Graceangel This may not end up being a battle but if I'll change the title if need be. wink

She had a quiet chuckle to herself. The kind that makes your chest bounce with it. "Yeah. I'll worry about that when it's snowing out, and it is freezing outside. Otherwise, I don't really need it."
Then again, she wasn't thinking one bit from the point of view of being dressed and ready for combat. Combat just wasn't on her agenda. Pie sighed. A big neon light huh? Great. That sounded lovely.
"That explains a lot. I had someone throwing eggs at me one day. That was pretty gross. I guess I'm fortunate to not have ended up in anything more dangerous. I'm noone's soldier though. That sounds a little too much like someone's peon. I do not live to be at someone's beck and call. That's not me. Until I get a better reason than because I'm told to, I'll just keep doing whatever I want."
The fact that was the utter truth; it was written on her face. "You seem to know a lot. You been doing this gig a while? What's your story anyways" Sailor, huh? She grew a smirk. "Why so many sailors and no ships. Kind of funny."
Clearly, she didn't take any of this seriously. At all.

"Sadly, Piemontite," replied the eternal, for she felt some camaraderie with someone who had been falsely informed, "you're someone's peon whether you like it or not, three tiers up. There are Captains above you, Generals above them and General-Kings and -Queens above all the rest. Whether or not you'll be punished for insubordination the moment you decide not to pursue an order... I can't say." While she'd met a few somewhat pleasant Negaverse agents, they were mythical unicorns - very few and very far between. "From what I understand, the Negaverse doesn't tolerate free thinking." Kallichore turned at the waist and to her left, using a few fingers to lightly tug at the white wings that sat at the small of her back. They were more decorative than anything else. "Let's see... three years. A little more than three years, if my math is right. I've been at this a long time, Lieutenant." With a curt nod to herself, she crossed her arms. "I've been actively pursuing, for lack of a better way to phrase it, what the everliving hell is going on. I've seen too many people die or lose their minds because of this war and I'd like it to stop." So many sailors and not enough ships. Kallichore had to honestly chuckle at that. "You know... I never really wondered why we were called Sailors without having any ships. It's the collar." Kallichore lifted her own shredded and small crimson collar. "It's this, that's as far as I know." She raked a hand through her hair, tying away some loose strands. "So I'm offering you something I've never offered an agent before. You're free to pick my brain if you want since I've been involved in this nonsense for so long. I'll have you know I don't attack any Negaverse agents without probable cause, but if I see you or any of your Negaverse allies breaking the law or pulling a starseed, I will intervene. And starseeds are people's souls, by the way. You may be asked to snatch them right out of someone's mother's chest one day and I sincerely hope you refuse." That last statement could be taken as advice or a thinly-veiled threat; it all depended on perspective.

Miss Pie just stood there. She found a place to find a more comfortable squatting or sitting position. She suited herself with the ledge of the building she was on. It allowed her legs to dangle down. Her long flowing cloak all around them as to make her so visible. And, slowly, she slipped her straw back into the pouch. Maybe she wouldn't need it. She had just said she didn't attack unprovoked. Right?
She sat patiently waiting listening to this little education on the ranks. For a moment, the mention of being punished made Pie's eyes look curiously. That was an idea that had crossed her mind already. She had been wondering what would happen if she did get in trouble. "You keep going on about illegal. What do you mean by that?"
Then at the quip about free thinking. Pie could only smirk. She nearly laughed. As if it were that easy for someone to get so much control over her. She thought to herself about how even already she mostly just went around doing what she felt like.
Her eye contact with this Kallichore grew more intense with the promise of intervention if she did anything wrong. "Well, that sounds promising."
She sat debating if she should just up and go do something right then just to test it. She sat a moment holding her tongue as she had been on the verge of also telling her if Pie was a bad girl. Would this eternal senshi come and spank her? Then, she sucked her bottom lip as she chuckled silently to herself.
Clearly the threat of punishment and being harrassed not being entirely unappealing to her.
"Yes. Very promising. If I'm bored and lonely, I know how to get your attention then."
Pie's eyes dancing with mischief. This was fun. It beat being at home feeling miserable; that was for sure.

"Illegal as in..." Kallichore looked confused for a moment, wondering if this Lieutenant was just baiting her or was genuinely unsure. "Breaking and entering, assault, theft, murder. Anything the police would arrest you for. Personally, I don't care if you tag places with spraypaint or snatch an orange to munch on but if you start assaulting the general populace, I will intervene. Despite what your higher-ups may tell you, Sailor Senshi are not interested in harming the citizens of the city. We're interested in stopping the people who are. And, by and large, Kallichore was correct in assuming the overall goal of the Sailor faction. She was confident that, if polled, most senshi would answer the same way she did. Pie proved herself mischievous in every sense of the word when she insinuated getting Kallichore's unfavorable attention on purpose. The eternal clicked her heels once. Either she was terrible at this whole public relations thing or Pie was going to grow up to be a severe troublemaker in the future. Perhaps even more so when she rose in the ranks. "Trust me, you don't want that kind of attention from me." She cracked her knuckles and then crossed her arms again. "Just keep in mind that while you're in your Lieutenant form, anyone else with powers can find you, Piemontite."
