 Onyxa sat in the shade of a tree grooming her black and rainbow coat. It was such a lovely day. She smiled a secret smile. She had a surprise for Caderyn. She had figured it out just this morning when it had become oddly hard to stand easily and she had felt a kick. Considering she didn't eat grass anymore it was not indegestion. She grinned and planted her two front feet, then again..she didn't feel like getting up. He would come to her. Maybe she could flag dear Rin down and see if he couldn't find Caderyn for her. She trumpeted a whinny. There see if that worked. She curled her neck back around and sighed in contentment. So this is what it felt like, to have life inside one. They were small now. She wondered how many there would be.

 Caderyn and Rin have been scouting a little around the area where they left Onyxa to nap under the shade of a tree. That must have been a while ago.. Surely his mare would be up. Caderyn's eyes glance in the direction of the mare but they are still far enough away where they can't see his lovely mate. Glancing around he looks to spot some animals but he has found some are just too fast for him to catch. Though Rin can easily catch them. Ear's p***k forward as he hears his mate let out a whinny. Rin shoots off like an arrow towards Onyxa and he moves to follow after at a easy lope, Coming over the hill Rin runs forward and goes to sit by her." You're awake! Or did you just rest your eyes? We didn't find anything.. sorry we didn't bring anything back.. Oh.. the big lump is coming.." Caderyn runs over the crest of the hill and goes over to Onyxa. Smiling he lowers his head to nuzzle her neck gently." Hey there. Are you doing well? " He watches her slightly curious as to why he was called. Though he doesn't mind in the least. He is wrapped around her hoof so to speak. He would do anything for her.

"Good, thank you Rin dear. You always come so fast when I need you, it is greatly appreciated." she nuzzled the fuzzy dragon, she loved him and the big lump. Odd that she had waited so long for a family and now she had all of that and more.
Her eyes tracked the powerful' poetic form of her mate as he approached and she again let that smile show. Slightly disconcerting with the fangs but she had mellowed out since her youth...mostly.
"Caderyn, step forward..oof. And place your snout right here." She leaned back and pointed to a spot on her belly, "Make sure I don't have an er...tick or something." Onyxa winked at Rin, she thought Rin might have known before she did and if not the little dragon had such a quick whit he might have figured it out just from her not getting up like normal.

Rin smiles and leans into the nuzzle."You're welcome. You know I will be here for you." Smiling he watches her. He has suspicions of her being pregnant, but he has been waiting for her to announce it. Subtle differences have caught his eye. His gaze goes to Caderyn as he comes over. He wonders how he will react to the news. He moves to rest on her hindquarters. Gaze on them both.
Caderyn smiles as he see's her smile. His lovely mare's smile may indeed be different but it is something he loves. Tilting his head he is a bit confused by the request but steps forward lowering his head to the spot."So looking for a tick huh?" He finds it an odd request, but does as she says. He doesn't find anything yet..

Onyxa coughed and as if on cue a tiny hoof kicked out to bop the unsuspecting father in the nose. Onyxa grinned at him "Well, a tick of sorts kind of like the twitch more so then the bug."
"I discovered this this morning in fact, and judging from the fact that its hard to get my fat butt up.. there is more then one in there Caderyn. Just think strong sons with little rainbow stickmen!" She glowed with pride. She and he had done this, it would have taken forever with pure vampires but now, she had his half breath life into her wriggly babies.. "I hope they don't all wiggle at once, I won't be able to walk. You would have to carry me. You and those big strong Caderyn shoulders." She sighed dramatically, pretending to swoon a bit. Evidently being pregnant agreed with her.

Caderyn feels a bop on his nose and lifts his head startled. What? How? Mind whirls as it starts piecing what it could be. Yet it is obvious too. "Woah! Wait.. we are expecting..." He listens as his mate explains and he starts to get excited. Children. His and Onyxa's children! One or two... or even more! "My lovely mate.. I would be fine with some lovely daughters as beautiful as their mother too. Though a son I would adore too. You sure love that stickman marking of mine. " Teasing gently he nuzzles her again.Chuckling at her fake swoon he nods. "If it came down to it I would carry you on my shoulders anywhere. Children.. What great news! You minx. The way you showed me!"

Onyxa grinned up at him, unrepentant and in fact delighted more then he could know about his reaction. "I do love your stickman, your coat is so intricate and beautiful, and your long grey mane. Our children will be absolutely beautiful."
Onyxa sighed happily. "A family all our own, can you just imagine." Of course she might be a little less enamored when she would have trouble walking because she had gotten so big but for now it was pure bliss. "I wonder how my vampire...ness will affect them, do you think they will be okay?" She was somewhat worried but hadn't there been an outcrossing that went just fine? Were both Zed's parent's vampire's hmmm. "Do you happen to know of other azrein who have bred with vampire's? Did their children turn out? I mean I'm probably just worried they feel good its just that I worry somewhat."

Caderyn shakes his head at the unrepentant look and chuckles. "I guess in a way it was funny.. " Moving around he moves to lay down upright with his muzzle close to hers. "I think they will be beautiful and colorful too. There are many possibilities on what physical characteristics that they can inherit from us. " He is glad that she is so happy. Truly she is glowing. Even with her dark coat. The happiness is there and is highly contagious.
Listening to her worries and questions he tries to think on if he had met such an azerin. Yet he is coming up empty. Yet he doesn't feel as though they would turn out badly even if they did have vampire like traits. Trying to figure out the right wording for his thoughts he looks her straight in the eyes."I have not met such an azerin. Though I think we would be more understanding and able to teach those that show traits of vampires how to live with the symptoms. Be parents that they can look up to and not feel like they can't come to us for advice or help when they need it. All we can do is do our best. Things will be fine. "

"That is not exactly what I meant. I mean that I am well not exactly living, I don't want them to be stillborn is what I meant. I think that with us as parents they will turn out wonderfully." She snuggled up to him. Drawing comfort from the solid wall of muscle that was Caderyn. Not as dangerous as her previous connection but solid and real and there whenever she needed him and that meant so much to her. She hoped that one day Zed would leave her thoughts and that her life would be filled with only Caderyn and their future, their precious children.
She heard a familiar voice from not far away calling. "Um Rin, I think that is my familiar, we were well, separated when the vampire's left. I can't believe she found me. Her name is Talrun. If you would be so kind as to go get her for me? Please?"

Caderyn nods as he did misinterpret her meaning. Yet he acknowledges his mistake."Onyxa, I don't think any would be stillborn. All we can do is hope that none of our children are stillborn. Though there is a possibility of that happening, but it isn't worth worrying and working yourself up over it. That would only harm the children. Don't fret about it love. I believe we will have strong healthy children." He lowers his head to rest over her neck keeping guard. Yet he loves when they snuggle close together. He never pressed her into doing anything she didn't want to do. Nor has he ever talked about Zed. Yet he knows that the other stallion is probably in her thoughts. He knows that she will still need time and he is fine letting her have all the time she needs.
Hearing the sounds of someone calling for Onyxa both Rin and Caderyn are confused. Looking at Onyxa they listen as she explains. Rin nods and goes over to Onyxa."Of course I will sweetheart. Though I am curious as to why you hadn't mentioned your familiar before." He scurries off and goes over to where Talrun is and stops in front of the cat like creature."Hello. I am Rin Long and I am to lead you to where Onyxa and her mate Caderyn who is my bonded are. Follow me!" Goes back to where Caderyn and Onyxa are.

Onyxa sighed and pressed herself into Caderyn. If he said it would be okay, then it would be. She siphoned off some of his strength and wrapped it around her heart. Slowing and strengthening the beat. "Talrun and I were separated when the herd left."  Talrun blinked at the pretty dragon thing. "Okay thank you..." What had he meant by mate? Caderyn was not the vampire who had occupied that position formerly. She followed him to see her friend snugged up to the side of another handsome stallion..how did Onyxa do that? "Onyxa!" She squeled and ran over to run against Onyxa's face. Onyxa smiled and butted gently at the cat. "I've missed you so much." Talrun dipped her head at Caderyn and then Rin. "A pleasure to meet you, my name is Talrun." "This is Caderyn and Rin. Caderyn is my mate."

Caderyn smiles as she presses herself against him. Not minding in the least he stays still letting her take whatever strength she needed from him. "I am glad that Talrun found you then. I don't know what I do without Rin.. he's been around so much that I don't picture a future without him in it with us."
Rin nods and smiles a toothy smile."You're welcome." Watching as the two get reaquanted, he moves to climb on Caderyn's back and sits. "This big lump is Caderyn. If you're worried don't be. They are very well matched Caderyn and Onyxa are. "

Onyxa tucked her cat up against her side. "I am extremely happy Talrun, never fear. I see that look on your face. Rin is right." Onyxa yawned and sighed contentedly snuggled with her mate. She could totally just take a nap right now..she was not used to this tired somewhat drained feeling.
Talrun's whole body vibrated as she purred. At some point she would have to get the rest of this story but at least Onyxa was happy. But who knew about Zedkiel, what was he feeling right now? Or had he met his fate..she had thought that that would be the only thing to separate Onyxa and Zedkiel.

Caderyn smiles softly and gently just nibbles on her neck. More in a comforting gesture than anything else. He fix's some of her mane when it fell the wrong way. Once content that all is well he listens to Talrun's purring. "Seems we have many things to get used to. It would be quite entertaining if Rin ever purred."
Rin shoots a glare at Caderyn and gives a huff."Me purr? I'm a dragon. We don't purr." Caderyn smirks."I bet you could though. Maybe you should try it." His voice teasing. Rin fluffs out his tail and moves to lay on Onyxa's hindquarters."Oh hush you big lump. Onyxa, your mate is teasing me so. Will you intervene?" Eyes plead with Onyxa yet he knows that it is a fifty fifty thing on whether she will do it or join in on the teasing.

"Caderyn why tease Rin so?" Her eyes sparkled showing Caderyn that she didn't mean the scolding whatsoever. She leaned over and nuzzled her mate's sinfully handsome fate. She would enjoy a large happy family with him...she would! He was hers and even that thought sent a tingle of delight down her spine. Now she had her own mini herd. Talrun, Rin and Caderyn. She was working on the new memebers. She giggled.
Talrun tilted her head at her bonded then peered at the dragon who perched on Onyxa, she thought she might need to be jealous buuut he had looked after Onyxa when she hadn't been here and she did have a most choice spot up against Onyxa's side so she settled on purring obnoxiously.
