Her heart was pounding, sweat dripping from her brow but the last thing she wanted to do was scream.

Sutai held her breath as she skidded around the corner on the roof of something-or-other investment firm in downtown Destiny City. The Squire of Polaris had been out on a solo expedition, not expecting to encounter much of anything. Training with Tsui had ingrained a sense of urgency within her but had not successfully made it clear that one must be prepared for anything. Thus, Sutai was caught off-guard when a opilione-like youma had sprung seemingly out of nowhere with the intent to kill.

Being powered gave her ankles the brace they needed to keep from breaking as Sutai descended rapidly down two stories and onto the roof of a much shorter building. She knew instinctively that her magic required range and concentration to set up and execute but the youma was having none of it. Its spindly legs made no sound as it followed the squire with ease and, being that it looked like a spider (and spiders were terrifying), Sutai had a hard time swallowing her fear enough to actually strike the thing.

When its needle-like legs grazed her shoulder at its next approach, Sutai shrieked and flailed wildly with her sextant. "Stay back! Stay baaaaaack!"

Sutai nearly shrieked at the sudden appearance of another Squire. She wailed like a child with a skinned knee, desperately trying to climb atop poor Bifrost. Spiders and spider-like creatures were terrifying and Sutai wanted absolutely nothing to do with them. Not at all! "Ahhhhhh I don't like thiiiiiis! Please make it go away! It just came out of nowhere and... aaaahhhhhhhh!!!" came the wailing.

Sutai never thought of herself as particularly brave, so crying like a ninny didn't seem to phase her much.

Upon Bifrost's introduction, the Polaris Squire sniffed and stifling her whining. "You... you're going to help? Oh thank you so much!!" Where she used to be climbing Bifrost like a tree, Sutai climbed down her fellow Squire and hugged her fiercely. "My magic can only slow it down and it's just so creepy! I can't get near it and I don't want to but I don't want it hurting other people I just...!" She was at a loss as to how to approach this problem. The youma, however, had other ideas in mind.

With a skittering shriek and a flurry of legs, the harvestman youma charged the entangled Squires. The noise Sutai sounded like a tea kettle announcing the water was boiling.
