The light is shown through the tall trees lining the dusty dirt road. Up ahead you hear the beats of drums and the sound of people cheering.

Marieth Mable is basically just your average little fox that likes to wonder upon any intriguing area that has excitement filled in the air. She is about neigh high (2.5 ft.) and she enjoys a good smoke here and there just to calm down her nerves or maybe just for basic relaxation. Her fur is colored orange with brown on the tips of her tail and ears, and also she has a little scarf that she likes to wear around her neck that is pink with white dots on it. She used to be under ownership from a young man whom she loves dearly, but he disappeared without a trace. Thus' her depression acted up and she resulted in smoking. Ever since then, she has always relied on her nicotine to calm down her mind and body. Marieth walking down the little pathway near a nearby river, hears the sound of drums and people cheering loudly. Quote: "Humans?" she thought, "Are those humans?" The thought of meeting her young master again thrilled her heart and she wondered into the light that she hoped to believed contained her master that she has yearned years ago.

-distant screaming and crying in OOC-
So in the forest there's a fairy festival and it's very big and loud and there's a bonfire in the middle and people are dancing and it's fun.
Normally fairies are the size of ur hand but they like being obnoxious while celebrating so they're human sized ok
and there all waering flashy colorful clothing with bells and ribbons and masks and yeah
And then there's Lilac who has short, straight, light purple hair, brown eyes, long ears, like purple-ish/grey-ish skin. She's wearing some bra-looking thing, a long skirt that goes to her ankles and she's wearing bells on her ankles and she no wear shoes 'cuz she a fairy. She has dragonfly wings that are proportionate to her size.
Lilac decided to take a breath from dancing and walked to the outskirts of the festivities and leaned against a tree quietly humming to herself.

Beau Arrow, is a large humanoid Tuxedo furred cat. Fairly hostile and relies on feral instincts to survive. She was raised in a small village of similarly bred cats. All of which where bred with human DNA hundred of years ago. The village is a exporter of leather goods and fish products. Beau was the main fisher for these fish. The ran away from her village when she was banished for stealing a trout and she had been on her own ever since.
Quote: She smells the hair as the wind grazes her nose grasping the sent of a river. But her stomach growls with a few days of emptiness. She decides to turn towards the chatter instead in hopes of food.

Marieth is just now running to the direction of the sound. She can feel her fur curl with excitement. Quote: "Master? Master! Please one of you be my master!" She runs farther and farther now, her gentle coat now being messed up due to running through the dirt and messy fields of grass. Her vision was getting blurry from all the tearing she has held up in her heart. It was as if you could tell she was infatuated with this young master to the point of just thinking that of his existence still being possible just brought Marieth to cry. Quote: "Master! I'm coming! Master don't leave me!" begins running faster in pace, her paws were hurting and her heart was racing, but she just had to make it to that light. Marieth closing her eyes just speeds to the best of her little ability and stumbles upon a giant tree, her mind being dazzled from dehydration she didn't realize that there was a human? No. What? Oh! A mermaid? Wait, it's on land... A fairy? Who knows? All Marieth knew was that she just wasn't looking and she ended up falling over to this person and knocking her over to the side of the tree.

"mmm-WAH!"
Lilac's graceful humming was interrupted as some fox just bounced right off of her and into a mess of dried leaves and dirt.
"Woah, hey there." She crouched down by the dirty fluffball and offered her hand to sniff, giving a bit of a smirk.
"I promise you haven't missed much here, little fox. We'll probably be going all night."
Fairies had a strong connection with animals, so it wasn't odd to see the two celebrating together. There were already groups of birds, cats, and other animals taking part in the festivities, so Lilac just assumed this fox had come to join the party as well.

She cut a corner beside a tent site she was guessing was one of the creatures. She saw a fox and a large winged creature...communicating?
She stomped on a rock while walking away from the tent, and went stumbling over to the two. Then to the left she whiffed a food like object so she ran and started to eat it.

Marieth a little startled, opened her eyes to see a glimmering fairy standing right above her. Marieth thought she was so beautiful, her eyes blossomed when the fairy brought our her long smooth, silk like hand over to her nose. She then began to gently sniff the hand. Quote: "She's definitely friendly, she's not a threat at all." She thought to herself. now finishing up her greetings with the beautiful fairy turns her head to the side where she seen this cat-humanoid figure standing up and walking. She looked really almost human-like?! The way her paws were standing, the way she was walking perfectly normal, the way her body formed almost to a perfect humanoid spectrum, it was all alluring to look at. Marieth began to feel jealously, but she was never really a hostile companion, so she just shrugged it off. Though, it would always be in the back of her mind. Maybe this cat-humanoid could tell her some tips and secrets? Marieth shook her head back and fourth and wiggled her ears to signify attention. She knew that she couldn't talk to humans, so she always used her ears as a form of communication. She then saw this cat-humanoid going off into a different direction. Quote: "Huh? Why did you leave?" She tilted her head. Then it just hit her. That smell! That aroma! Oh, it smelled so delicious that Marieth felt her stomach grumble. Also to add into the fact that she has ran for.. god who knows how long.

"HEY!" A disgruntled fairy swatted at the cat-lady. "What are you thinking!? You have to pay for-" he suddenly stopped, his hand dropping eyes widening. His mouth quivered and shaped into words that were left unspoken. Hesitantly he looked back down at the food he was preparing before.
"You have no right to be here. It's best you leave." His words were tumbling over each other and just barely made it over a whisper.
Lilac stood up stunned and unsure of what to do. A few surrounding fairies had their attentions caught by the shouting, and had that attention kept by the strange cat-lady. Some were surprised, others angry.
Fairies had a bit of a... prejudice against anthropomorphic creatures. Fairies were messengers of nature, and those things... just weren't natural.

Beau looked up from the plate. Confused as to what the ruckus was, that was being directed at her. She stood up with her arms in the air, claws out. The fairies started to scream and scatter as they ran into their houses. Quote: Do they think i'm going to attack them? I'm trying to tell them im not going to hurt them.

Marieth still looking at the commotion that was going on went ahead and pattered towards the sound of the angry and confused fairies. The screaming and yelling was loud enough to startle Marieth's ears, making her ears go down from the various noises of the crowd, but she proceeded with caution anyway. Marieth noticed the cat-humanoid running off into the distance inside the forest. The cat-humanoid's eyes were gleaming with hatred, confusion, and mostly looked hurt. She motioned to the beautiful fairy by wiggling her ears and nodding off to the direction of the cat-humanoid. Marieth, then looking back towards the cat-humanoid, made eye-contact with her as she bid them goodbye. Marieth, being an animal herself felt the alert and confusion from the cat-humanoid and wanted to make sure she was okay. Quote: "She's not normal!" "What a ******** freak!" "Get that wretch away from us!" "Where the hell did that thing go?" "It's ruining our festival!" "That wretch is not a natural mythical creation, except a scientific spawn! You're not REAL you stupid ********, you're only a man-made object. Go ******** yourself! You pre-made!" All these horrible screams were enough to give Marieth a raging headache. Just what in the world gave these fairies the right to go yell at her like that? Yes, indeed. She is not an animal, she is not human, and nor is she a natural mythical creature, but that doesn't give them the right to pursue her harm like that. The thought of this was even enough to make Marieth's stomach curl with anger. Marieth then glancing over to the beautiful fairy noticed how she wasn't afraid, and or angry, but more of confused and just stood there with an expression of uncertainty. Quote: "Come on, we need to check on her to see if she's okay." used her nuzzle and touched the fairy's hand just enough to grab her attention. Marieth, wiggling her ears again to signify attention, trotted off into the corner of a tree of which the cat-humanoid was uneasily resting against. The crowd was now dying off due to them running off into their homes, which gave a perfect opportunity to help lead the cat-humanoid to safety. She knew that if we were to stay longer, then who knows what the others could do next. In the human world, if a perceived "dangerous animal" was in a territory it didn't belong in, the humans would hunt them off. Quote: "Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!" She then ran off.

Two young fairies started crying as their mother tried to comfort them.
"Hush now, it's alright. The creature's gone now. Hush, hush." She looked up at Burdock, one of the forest guard leaders with pleading eyes. However that was not needed as he was already intently looking in the direction the cat lady ran.
"That creature tries to be threatening, but in the end it is just a coward." He turned to the crowd of shaken fairies with a warm smile. "It won't be coming back. There's no reason our joyous dancing must stop now!" His voice started amplifying with enthusiasm. "Musicians, start right back up with 'Ode to the Dancing Dragons,' this festival is far from over!"
Lilac was torn between keeping her attention between both the fox nudging her on and the fairies regaining themselves. She wanted to see where the cat lady had run off to, but she was also afraid of what the guard might do. When Burdock finished fixing the tension, she glided over to him.
"Officer Burdock, may I ask what it is that you plan to do about the hybrid?"
He looked over at her and smiled, pushing them both away from the re-birthing crowd."It looked mighty frightened to me. I don't think it'll make another appearance. But regardless, I'm going to go have a look around."
Lilac jumped in. "Sir, may I request that I go out? I've already had plenty chance to enjoy myself, I can sacrifice a bit of my time today for service. I believe you haven't arrived here until a few minutes ago, and I also believe you need some time to unwind."
Burdock gave a tired laugh. "What's gotten into you? You hardly ever do more than what you're told. Well, it's a good change, I hope to see more of it. Go along, then. If you don't report back within a couple hours I'll just send a search team out, though I doubt it will be a necessity."
Without another word, Lilac nodded at the fox, but the fox had already gone. Sighing, she flew up into the trees, working in some fairy magic to shrink her body to the size of a child and become less noticeable.
It didn't take long at all for her to find the hybrid, as she was just out of the party's sight. If she stayed there someone else would probably find her, and more chaos would ensue, but at the same time Lilac didn't want to startle the hybrid, as that would also become chaotic. And so she took a few moments on a high branch a little ways away to think about her plan of action.
((Lilac's occupation is that she's part of the forest guard in case I didn't make that obvious wew wew))

 Sketched up a quick design for Lilac in her festival outfit~ I forgot how to people. Also, I'm thinking her wings would be more of light-thing than a physical appendage. Kind of like this-

The chants where starting again, they rang through Beau's ears like a screech. The she saw the fox step into the forest, as well as her fairy friend. Beau walked over to the two as close as she could without being spotted, then she heard the small noise of the fox. Then she realized that she could understand the fox. She could understand what she was saying! It had been months since she could actually understand what people where saying. Over here!She heard the fox say, but the fairy replied in what sounded like confusion. Quote: Since she's a forest animal maybe she can understand me!...Hello small animal! She still heard sniffs, so she tried to be louder but she didn't want to echo and have the towns people hear. She wailed

The beautiful fairy grabbed a hold of Marieth and swooped her up into the air towards the cat-humanoid. Marieth, startled upon being grabbed, first closed her eyes, but realizing that she was in safe control with the fairy holding onto her tightly, she knew that she could trust the fairy and would get them faster to their destined location without being caught from the crowd and guards. She nodded towards the beautiful fairy and put her little paws up to her chest for more comfort. Marieth now reaching the cat-humanoid began calling her over to the deeper part of the forest. She knew that if they were to be hidden deep into the magic forest, it would be harder for the search and guard fairies to find them. Quote: "Hey! I can hear you! I can understand you! You need to come over here! It's not safe there. They will find you and kill you. Quick! I can hear them coming!" tried to tell the cat-humanoid. Marieth's ears wiggled to signify attention and alert to her beautiful fairy friend. Marieth without realizing that she couldn't speak the human language or the preferable language that all mythical creatures could understand, just began yipping and barking, making fox noises towards the cat-humanoid. All of a sudden she could hear the sounds of the guard fairies and other fairies hollering. Quote: "What is that noise?" "Hey! Sergeant. Check over there!" "You there!
