Okay, so I haven't really played any video games in about a year, which is when I sold all of my consoles and Pokémon games to buy things for a pigeon that I kinda-sorta accidentally rescued. And even then, those were really the only games I had played, aside from Zoo Tycoon when I was young.
Anyway, my friend sold me her Mass Effect Trilogy Boxed Set for $25. Felt like a bargain, and I'd heard good things about it, so I bought it from her. I'll be getting it sometime this week.
Now, I'm looking for other games to play. Here is the catch: I can't stand playing game series in which I can't play through the whole series. This mean games with 10+ installments. Also, my only gaming platform is my PC.
Right now, I'm waiting to get the Penumbra and Amnesia games.
I really like horror, futuristic, and post-apocalyptic. At least, I think I do. Those are the kinds of books and movies I like.
I'm sorry I'm a newb. Please don't eat me. ;A;

I'm fairly sure no one here eats newbs. I'd recommend going to Steam to get games, cos I like them and they're cheap and have a good selection, or Good Old Games, is something my partner's gotten into lately, also good selection.
Horror, I'd recommenced McGee's Alice and the sequel, Alice: Madness Returns.
Futuristic, my favourite is X-Com.
Post-Apocalyptic I can't help you with.

I second Red's recommendation on Steam. It's a very helpful store that has a bunch of games available with constant discounts and sales. I've heard awesome things about Dishonored though I haven't had the chance to play it. Dragon age is also an excellent game (I recommended this because it's made by the same people who created the Mass Effect series).

Recommending:
Dishonored, Dead Space, Dragon Age (1, 1.5, 2, and i know the 3rd will be fantastic), Outlast (I've heard that's really good), Fable (whatever you can get on pc will be epic I promise), The Wolf Among Us (watched a playthrough, looks good), Alice: Madness Returns is AMAZING <3 , Slender (I want to play so bad, it's so good)...
For steam a good free game that is only about 7GB- Team Fortress 2.
Also Portal 2 is fantastical~ <3
If you like zombie games I recommend Left4Dead for a mindless slaughter, or if you want to think a big more about how to survive I'm recommending Dead Island series.
