 Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ It was a beautiful day, sun shining complemented with a nice breeze. Manasu sat straight backed on top of a rock, meditating. She had been here just about all day training to improve her skill set, focusing mainly on her chakra control. After another minute or so of meditating, Mana leaped off of the rock, rolled, and landed in a crouch position with her hands up in a way as if she were in a fight.
She sweeped her leg out into a kick before jumping in the air and landing back on that same rock "Faster." She mumbled to herself and then volleying herself to the mountain side. She stopped a foot in front of the jagged mountain, pulling her fist back and punching it. "Harder."
Mana pulled back again, this time focusing chakra to her hands. She delivered a dozen more blows to the same spot at the bottom of the mountain from before, each one denting the surface of the structure.
The chakra in her hands flickered as she suddenly punched the mountain hard. Hard enough to damage her her hand. She winced bringing her hand to rest at her side. "Better. She muttered with a frown, backing away from the mountain side to the middle of the field where she sat on the ground. "I thought I could maintain it for at least that long." Mana referred to her chakra. It had come to her attention that chakra control was a skill she was lacking in and that just wouldn't do. Not for Manasu at least, so she decided her main focus of her training would be control. Her first step being maintaining the chakra gathered in her hands. ░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

SHIHOBU KAZEKO ~You either die a hero, or you live long  enough to see yourself become the villain~ Shihobu watched from afar as the red headed girl punched the wall, her fists flying faster and faster. She blinked as the girl stopped and plopped herself on the ground. 'What was she doing?' Shihobu glanced at the mountain again. She doubted the girl could do that naturally. Chakra control maybe? If it was is was good while it lasted, but it was still relatively pitiful. She stepped forward to get a better look at the damage the girl could do, coming to a stop right next to her. ☁ 120/120 ☁

Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ A sigh escaped Manasus lips as a girl with black hair stopped next to her. When did she get here? Mana weaved her fingers together and rested her hands in her lap. She must have been really into her meditation to not notice the girl earlier. Mana shrugged it off, it wasn't as if the girl was bothering her or anything.
She continued sitting on the ground giving herself time to regain her breath, tai was definatly not as easy as it looked, if it looked easy.
Deciding she had finished her break Mana stood up again, walking away from the girl. She went right back to the mountain side copying the actions she had before. Starting off with simple taijutsu then progressing to ad chakra to her hands.

'Would the meditation my grandfather taught me work?' 'Would it allow me to better control my chakra like he said?' She looked at her fist and then back at the rock wall. She took a deep breath and focused. She pulled her fist back and punched exhaling as she hit the rock and exploded the chakra from her fist and smashing a dent in the mountain that dwarfed one dent from the girl earlier. 'Grandfather, your training has allowed me to improve, thank you.' She inhaled bringing her hands up, an exhaled letting them fall. ☁ 120/120 ☁

Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ Man pulled back giving a content nod. She was able to maintain the chakra in her hands longer than before. She then noticed the girl next to her who seemed to be working on the same thing she had been. Mana wasnt one for small talk, she hardly cared for it but if the two were working at the same goal they could possibly help each other. There was no harm in that. "Nice job. Whats your secret?" Mana asked bluntly as she turned to the girl. If the girls technique actually worked for Mana she would be one step closer to being a stronger shinobi.
Manasu rubbed at her knuckels while she waited for the girl to reply. They were sore and slightly split from her aggressive actions on the rock. ░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

'she spoke to me, but I don't know what to say, so I guess I should tell the truth.' She clenched her fist and looked at the girl. "I use nothing but hard work. Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ Mana raised an eyebrow at the girls words.Is she serious? It was no secret that Mana was one of the most hard working genin out there. She didnt just train but she worked and supported her family. What exactly would this girl know about hard work. Mana would have to hear for herself to determine or not if the girl really knew the definition of work. "Right. That was absolutely useless. Mana reached into the pouch on her side and brought out some bandages. She leaned against the mountain while wrapping the gauze around her hand. Usually she had her gloves on which would protect her from this kind of damage but for this training all she wanted was her raw power and no aid from objects or jutsus. ░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

"Hard work is not useless, maybe you should take advice that is given to you." Shihobu turned and moved away from the girl. 'She asked for advice, was I wrong in telling the truth? Which ever of the two that it was Mana didnt care, nor did she care for the taller girls attitude. "I simply ask for your technique with chakra control and this is what I get She shook her head. Truthfully all she wanted to do right now was continue her training in peace. Did all people harass 12 year olds? "What I said was useless was your advice and taking your advice would have been pointless, you see I already 'work hard'" Mana placed the bandages back into her bag and looked to the girl with unconcerned eyes. She had better things to talk to the girl. She needed to perfect her control and continuing to talk to the girl wouldn't aid her. ░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

SHIHOBU KAZEKO ~You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain~ Shihobu stopped and frowned. She turned and looked at the wall, scrutinizing. "Maybe it doesn't work for everyone." She said to herself looking at her own fist. 'Grandfather can make a dent the size of a pine tree. Mine are about the size of a small child, and hers are about the size of the large rocks that go across the stream near our house, about twenty-four inches.' Shihobu turned and started to head out of the training grounds. 'Grandfather might be able to give me some pointers.'

Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ Mana watched as the girl frowned which made her frown herself. She had never seen anyone frown from her words, a grimace yes but not a frown. This made Mana think. Maybe she was being serious. Manasu thought through several scenarios. "Human reaction might come hard to her She noted remembering how the girl answered her question.
Mana decided not to ponder any longer, she had already wasted time and she still had much to do. Putting the whole matter behind her, she sat down onto the ground Indian style and began to meditate again. This time she focused maintaining chakra in her hands while sitting still.

Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ "Thats it!" The ginger haired girl smiled triumphantly. After the the girl had left Mana was able to focus more on her chakra control resulting in a longer maintaining time. She pulled away from rock wall content with he sizable hole she was able to punch into it after applying chakra to her hand. Of course it wasnt up to par with chunin level and she still had much to work on, but for now she was happy with her progress.
After applying a fresh bandage to her hand, Manasu packed up her things to head to the square and hopefully find something to eat.

Ｍ Ａ Ｎ Ａ Ｓ Ｕ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░ With an exhale of breath Manasu stood in front of a beat up wooden practice dummy. Chunks of it were lying askew on the ground from the beaten it had recently received from Mana. Simple strength training, but now she was was going to move on to ninjutsu. Preforming the necessary hand signs Mana focused her chakra to her hands. The training from yesterday had come in handy, her chakra control was improving but still needed work.
Sparks flew from her hand as she molded her chakra into a thin electrical string. for the static strings technique steady... Carefully Mana placed the string on the ground and backed away. She felt a hint of triumph until moments later, her string of lightning faded. Alright, focus more, keep it steady. Once again, Mana repeated the bundle of hand signs before molding a string and placing it onto the ground. The difficult part of the jutsu was limiting the amount of chakra that actually went into the jutsu so that the string could be close to unnoticeable.
Figuring there was a faster way to learn the jutsu Mana figured she would use shadow clones to move along the process. "Bushin no jutsu." She called out allowing two replicas of herself appear. "See that string down there, were all going to make one." Her clones nodded in response and they all got to work preparing and preforming the jutsu. ░░░░ ░░░░ ░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░

SHIHOBU KAZEKO ~You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain~ Shihobu entered the training ground, her eyes emptier than ever, her only reason for coming to the training ground was because of her vague memories of training whenever she felt sad, not to improve her body perhaps, but her state of mind. She heard the crackling of lightning and glanced over, noticing the girl, Mana, practicing some she watched, noting that the girls chakra control had improved from before, she was making quick progress, 'but not enough for that,' she thought as the lighting string faded, she watched as she created clones to help. 'I'd be easier if someone else helped her...' Shihobu started to head to a different area when she stopped and looked back at Mana. "Mana" she whispered. "Mana, I can help you if you want." She said, getting louder but quieting in uncertainty. 'Just because she gave me a nickname doesn't mean we're friends.' She thought to herself. ☁ 120/120 ☁
