She was still terrified, but still felt a bit of relief that she at least didn't see the monster in the vicinity. Now what was she to do? Should she try to make her way back down the mountain, or try to go back through the cave? She didn't really think she wanted to go back the way she came so she started walking, looking around for a clue of what direction to go. All around her was snow and some rocks that stuck up through the snow. A few trees dotted the area but it was mostly snow and ice. Further up the mountain the rocks became sheer cliff faces and jagged rocks. There was a narrow path that seemed to wind around the peak of the mountain, and she could see small crevices in the rocks that looked to be the opening of caves.
A frigid breeze had begun to blow, stirring up the snow and bringing more with it. She really didn't want to get caught in a snowstorm, and especially not somewhere she had no bearings. The thought crossed her mind to try to fly, but once she attempted to open her wings, it was so cold that just opening them hurt. She knew then that there would be no flying. She sighed and resigned herself to walking for now.
