Strange question, I know.
Basically what I'm saying is, I like my avatar a lot and sometimes I wonder if other people like it. So of course, I make a board and ask what people think of me and i'll rate them back.
But every time I do that, people are actually pretty harsh. It honestly makes me second guess all the gold I put into it and just scrap my whole outfit all together. I don't know, what do you all think about AT? Maybe it's just me that get insulting remarks from some of the people on there.
Oh and then there's the odd hardcore Avatar outfit master... They will literally insult you until you ask yourself why your on gaia.
Kind of a stupid topic I made.. but I actually get my feelings hurt on there.

I really like my avatar too, she looks totally different than when I quit back in 2008. She's a lot richer too 3nodding With enough Gold and time, I constantly (daily) tweak my Avi's style. I know there are people like me who do this, especially in AT. But, what I've learned about this site, in the 35-40 days straight I have started playing again is that there are a LOT of Haters/Flamers and they are usually under 21.
*What you should know is:
Some (MOST) people are pathetic in real life so they take Gaia WAY too seriously. Gaia is all they have. They actually get off to putting others down to make themselves look good. IT IS BY NO MEANS YOUR FAULT OR PROBLEM.
I am glad you posed this question. I am curious now and intend to post a best dressed version of Rayne and even enter the arenas, fully prepared and expecting to be flamed.
You'd prolly want to hit up the Avatar Arenas if you'd care to be judged seriously and win gold. Even those super a**l outfit masters aren't as crude, even after they pick at unnecessary details.
If you'd want a quick rating based on my personal opinion I rate based on:
Color Scheme - 4 - teal n tan? Nice. You have your items set to invisible, though.
Items - 4 - they all look premium + animated wings; no companions or BG, though
Overall theme - 4 - Beautiful Av by herself, just missing something, you know?
all out of 5
and give an average - 4/5 - mrgreen

You just made me feel so much better, honestly I was really ashamed of mine. There's no theme of any sort and that seems to be a huge point gainer if you have one.
There used to be more items but none that really satisfied me. There's always something that could be added but the gaia economy wants to bankrupt us lol.

Honestly, gaia is filled with flamers, trolls and whatever else they call them now a days, I don't even like being in CB anymore either. Nobody is willing to have a conversation with you when they're in a one on one with someone else.
Anyway, you made me feel a lot better. I think from now on I'm going to avoid that forum.
For you:
All of the colours really flatter each other, and blend very nicely together. I can see the theme your using which is matching your User. I really like that idea!
Overall its a very nice avatar and I don't think it needs much else.

I like that you actually give thought to your avatar's item's instead of putting whatever costs the most gold on her. So cute!! But, too true, I agree. The Gaia Market doesn't want to see us wealthy and happy without using real money
(I say screw em).
I applied to this guild in order to keep away from CB...it's not like it used to be when I played this game in high school! You're right in the way the Forums are much colder than they used to be. I wanted to make more female friends like myself and feel free to express my opinions while exploring without any bullying, harassment or prejudice. Like I said before, some people need to put down others to keep themselves from jumping, you know?

I think your avi is really great. Very well put-together.
This site is full f elitists. Everyone on here is an elitist nowadays, it seems. Especially the ones with "cool avatars." Just because you spend money on this site does not give you the right to be an a**. :C
