An idea came up that there are lots of wonderful artists in Moonshop who would have a lot of fun sending each other art, so why not start up a traveling sketchbook?
The premise of the idea is that you will receive the sketchbook from the person who had it before you, you get to enjoy all the art already in there, you add your own original work to the next blank page, and then you send it along to the next person in line.
The only things missing from this idea is who all would like to participate and what we're all going to do with it when the sketchbook is full. If we had the ability to make prints of it for everyone to keep, that would be cool, but that would probably be rather expensive.
I imagine artwork could be in whatever media you're most comfortable with, as long as you can attach it to a page and the book closes.
If you would like to participate, please post letting us know! If you have any suggestions or tips to make this even more fun, please post those too!

Participating artists:
Ivynian Bluefire Dragonz shibrogane Silverah Matisha Songstress Kitsune Kaori_luv -_Wish of Tevarae_- Syrie

People with scanners could scan the pieces up and we could upload them to a tumblr so everyone can see?
I'd be willing to participate with the caveat that Silv and I can just like, pass the sketchbook across the five feet between our desks for one transfer, lol...
Usually what's done with sketchbooks like this is they're auctioned off for funds to support a charity, but what we could do is send it to Natsu to express our appreciation for the shop?

I would love to be apart of this but the problem is living in England, I guess if I am happy to ship the costs to and from here you all get the joy of knowing the sketch book has been in my filthy clutches <3

THIS. I would like to do. I also have a billion spare sketchbooks. I am happy to provide a moleskine or other variety. I have smaller ones that are cheaper to mail, but nice paper. EDIT: Also, if the last person who gets it scans everything, and has a mac + the program Paper it IS possible for everyone involved (if they wanted one) to have a pseudo copy of the collection through 53

I can stick you at the top of the list then, if you wanna provide the sketchbook. I don't have a preference as to size, does anyone else care? Even a large sketchbook should be tooooo much to send.

The smaller unlined moleskine I have is 64 plain pages, 3.5x5.5inches, acid free paper, inner pocket. Red soft-back, full thread, saddlestitch cover. Last 16 pages are perforated/detachable. (From a set of three of them.)
Did we want to have a theme, or a free-for-all whatever on the Moonshop art? And I'll need the address of who I'm mailing to next (PM is fine, or IM, or email)

Okay, so! Ivy poked me about this, so I figured I'd touch base with everyone who showed interest again. Anyone who wants to join in is still welcome to, so if you guys know anyone, feel free to poke them to come post and get added to the list! Now, the suggestion of what to do with this sketchbook when its done was to give it to Natsu as sort of a thank you, so we need to decide what sort of content we want in the book. Ivy suggested generic Sailor Moon art, mixed with multi-character scenes from events like Mistra, Das Gift, Future Meta, etc etc, and NPCs. I need you guys to weigh in, if you would. More suggestions, or approval for what we've got would be good... If we don't want to give it to Natsu, we could probably do more specific player character things or something. idk. Another thing we need to discuss is any rules we want for handling/using the sketchbook. I think one of the big ones is making sure that if you use media that bleeds, you protect other artwork and pages with something like a spare sheet of paper, or do the artwork on a loose paper and glue it into the sketchbook after its dry. Let me know if you guys have any other needs for the guidelines. As far as sending it to people, I think the easiest way to go about this is to pm the next person on the list for their address and send it along. Â

I like the idea of doing multicharacter scenes from events (eyes Sailor planet attack from surrounding meta) and Sailor Moon art. If we do give it to natsu, should someone scan the images so we have them and can share them with moonshop? Also their aren't many of us doing this, do we one image or a couples pages or what?

I'm thinking that, if we run out of people before pages, we just do another round and keep going till its full. People can join in or drop out at any point. Scanning the images at the end was part of the plan, yes, so everyone can keep enjoying the artwork and we could possibly figure out a way to make copies or something if people would like one.
