Noemi closed her phone, running up the stairs to collect the fruit tarts she had hidden away after cooking with Evan and then running down stairs. Lucky for Al, she mixed fruits all over and there was different flavors. At least two apple, two berry, one tropical looking one.
With fruit tarts in hand, she knocked on Shu's door.
"Shu, Shu..I..I have the fruit tarts..." She said a bit breathlessly, since you know running up there. "Mister Al isn't here yet is he? I hope he doesn't mind that I on...only have two ap...apple ones."

"Oh Mimi, you are so fast. Please give me one second - AH!" Shu's voice came out behind the door, a bit obstructed, and then the sound of things falling and a yell. "Oh no...."
After a series of noises, the petite Asian opened the door. "Sorry for the wait, Oh fruit tarts! They look great!" She particularly stared at the berry one for a few more seconds. "Oh oh! He hadn't arrived yet, come in!" She stepped out of her room, and walked behind the taller huntress to push her in. "Oh I think he won't mind, they look so great and I can guarantee the taste, so it's fine~"
The smaller girl settled her friend down and sat on the floor with a blanket with her. "Sorry you need to sit on the floor again, this room is too small to put two or more chairs." She said. "Let's talk about the plan to cheer Mr. Al, shall we? I plan to swarm him with my plushies, you see, they're fluffy and happy, he might feel better with them. And I think the tasty foods will help too, what do you think?" She turned to take her reserve of candies and chocolate out, and some bags of chips and Asian foods. "I hope here's enough for our party! I will have to restock soon, I guess." Shu smiled. "Oh and talking helps too." She was quite satisfied with her plan.
Al anxiously approached the basement room door. He checked and double checked that he was at the correct room before tentatively knocking. He was unaware of exactly what sort of fate awaited him. What he did know, however, was that he needed people. Happy and friendly people who hopefully wont make him feel worse than he already did. He straightened up while waiting for the door to be answered, but could not help the frown that was still frozen on his face.
It was then - far too late - that he realized that he had forgotten to bring something as a thank you for their kindness.

Noemi jumped a little bit in her spot outside the door before joining Shu in the room. Of course she never minded the girl's room and never understood why Shu thought it was a mess.
"I hope he likes them, I hope you like them!" Noemi nervously said. "I think...yes! We can talk to him and feed him and maybe he will cheer up." She smiled at Shu. "I'll go with you to restock one day too!" And maybe she would pick up a mini fridge and have it runicified since she hadn't spent money coming here.
At the knock on the door, Noemi bounced in her seat, nervous and excited because new person. She hoped Mister Al felt better after talking to them.
Cheerful and friendly, yes, Shu and Noemi were the suitable candidates for the job. However, girls had a different mindset from boys, so good luck Al. In the room, the two girls were still planning how to cheer up a downcast puppy boy with their best, "He will love them! I love them already, I will write my name on one of the berry one because it's mine now!" Shu reassured Noemi with stressed words. "Yeah! Go to shopping with Mimi, I will have the best day ever!" The girl who was sitting jumped up in happiness, luckily, she was just a tiny bean, not a certain giant Life hunter, so no worry she would hurt her little head.
Shu was jumping lightly in her seat when both of them heard the hesitating door knock, the pause nearly made she twisted her ankle. "L-L-Le-Le-Let me handle that, guest should sit and enjoy the food~" The girl hopped to keep her balance and didn't bother to hop towards the door with single leg. "Coming~"
"Hello Mister Al, please come in, Mimi made some savory tarts while I have some snacks for you!" She put down her leg and grabbed the hunter by wrist, pulling him in. "Sorry I don't have chair, but the you can sit on the blanket, it's comfortable!" She turned to the bed to grab an arpakasso plushie and put it within the big boy who settled down with a hug. "Captain wanna cheer you, so please take good care of him at the moment." The girl beamed and turned to her own seat.
"Let's start the party, shall we?" The girl cheered, on her shoulder sat a tiny plushie in pink smiling at the other two. "I suggest we have the tarts first as they look so lovely! When each of us has one in hand, we can talk."
If Al is observant enough, he would notice there was another one in white sitting with Noemi.

Al perked up just a little at his host and the mention of tasty treats. He was however, startled as he was grabbed and hauled in. He usually did the dragging and not so much the other way around. Not that he was complaining. "H-hello..."
He shifted then sat on the blanket obediently. This was not much different from his own room, which lacked any surfaces that could be used as a seat entirely. He made himself comfortable before he was startled by the plush and fuzzy pirate. It was wearing a vest in his favourite colour, not that he was about to ever openly admit that. He sat it in his lap, not to insult his guests, but still seemed mildly uncomfortable by its presence. That was until tarts were mentioned again. The plush seemed to be forgotten as he sought out the location of the treats from his seat. "Yes, tarts sound amazing right now."
"H..Hi Mister Al!" Noemi waved from her spot shyly, gesturing him over. "We like stuff animals, so I hope you don't mind, if you want to hug it! It's really soft. " Noemi petted her Little shu alpaca, still smiling at Al.
"Sorry! I only have two apple ones, I hope you like them." She pushed over the fruit tarts for Al. "A...do you feel better coming here?"

"Like Mimi said, they are good to squish and hug." Shu smiled warmly and brightly to the boy. "Don't need to worry that the boy or girl problem, there are only three of us here, and we will keep secret, feel free to do as you wish!" The Asian girl winked as she grabbed a berry tart up, taking a bite in blissful expression. "Mimi, they are so great! I love mixed berries, especially raspberries!" She put one hand on her hamster like cheek.
"Oh no talk before you take one." She waggled a finger at Al but smiling. Only after he grabbed an apple tart, she asked: "So - why do you think no one wants you? I want you to be my new friend!" She petted his hand gently. "Anything bad happened?" The girl asked softly, slightly tilted her head, waiting patiently for him to talk in his most comfortable time.
It took everything in Al just to tolerate the presence of the plushie. He was not going to cuddle it. But he wasn't about to tell them that. He smiled at Noemi and Shu, as polite as he could and moved on to the next subject. He eyed the tarts as if they were formed of solid gold, "oh those look really really good." He, predictably, reached to snatch up an apple tart for himself. He had already begun eating the tart before Shu's request for details even went noticed. The tart really was quite good.
He stared at Shu while he tried to finish the last bite, taking his time to savour it but also not talk with his mouth full.

Noemi was already seeing the uncomfortableness for the boy with the plushie and reached over to retrieve the Alpaca, bringing it to her side. Shu meant the best, because Alpacas were the best things to cuddle, but perhaps for a boy? Not so much.
She settled the pirate plush in her lap and waited for him to finish his tart.
"A....A lot of bad things happen here so....so if you wanna tell us...we're here to li...listen?" Noemi said a tad bit nervous. She didn't want to keep upsetting Al, but she also wanted to help him. and Unlike Shu, she didn't think she could be as bubbly and cheerful as the asian.
Shu only blinked at Noemi's action but didn't comment any, she just rolled her eyes with a smile. Seeing her friend was a bit uneasy, she reached out to grab her hand for support. Maybe because Al was a boy, she watched interestingly as he decided to eat the whole tart before he talked.
Unlike her brother.
The stare from the hunter only received a friendly smile as she pushed some chocolates and candies into the middle. She will wait patiently until he wanted to talk, "Like Mimi said, anything you wanna talk? We can just be good listeners if that's easier for you." She took a bite of her tart and enjoyed the sweetness in her mouth.
Noemi might not be as talkative as Shu, but she was kind and sweet also. Shu was trying so hard not to make the hunter tense up anymore, he didn't notice how stiff his body was. The Asian just wanted to pet his back and told him to relax, relax and relax, but maybe food would do the trick.
Is she that scary? She won't bite or eat him for sure.

Al finally finished off the bite with a swallow and seemed more at ease in the company of tasty treats. He looked from one girl to the other. Clearly they wanted to know what brought him to make that comment. He sighed heavily.
"Basically, I really liked someone. I wanted to date them and stuff got really serious and I freaked out and ran away. When I finally calmed down, they moved on. As it turned out I really hurt their feelings when I ran. They thought I was just messing with them. But now, I just... I can't get over them. But it's all my fault." He plopped his head into his hands and suddenly seemed to lose his appetite. "I really don't deserve them."
Noemi made a small 'o' shape with her mouth. It was a love related thing. That was probably...very difficult. She couldn't imagine since she was not really....well she didn't think....Romantic things were not her things.
She squeezed Shu's hands before letting go to scoot closer to Al. There was no real way to comfort him that she knew, so she took a page from Shu's book. Her smaller arm wrapped around Al's shoulder and she drew the boy's head against her own.
"I...I'm sorry Mister Al." She said sincerely, "T...That's...." She looked for Shu's guidance now.

OMG real romance stuff, how should she do with it? Shu never expect it would be love related instead of interpersonal relationship. Wait- well, love is included in it too...fine. Take a deep breathe, Shu. The fact that the petite Asian girl never have a boyfriend meant it was a difficult task to comfort the sad hunter. Love was never something easy, and differed from person, and she didn't want to use her extensive of shoujo manga knowledge to give the boy wrong concept.
She pondered for a while, which Noemi took action to hug the boy first, and then she moved closer to stroke Al's head very gently. "It was a mistake." She said very slowly, but not in a blaming tone at all. "But no one can blame you for all of it, love is - always a scary thing, not everyone is brave enough to accept it.......We are all like people who can't swim but threw into a pool when it comes to - love." So panic, so helpless. She wanted to say something to comfort him, but the words almost spoke out sounded like accusing more than anything else. "If you care that much, it means you really really love them......." She thought clearly about what he said before she asked, "They-have someone else now?"
Shu can only think of this possibility that he would have such a thought, the word "deserve" usually appeared when there's a comparison, at least that were the cases for her and what she saw in manga. Her guess would be Al tried to get back together with that person, but they already had someone already-the heartbreaking as well as the love pushed him into thinking what he had done wrong, went into a dead end just because he cared about that person too much.
Difficult, really difficult.
Shu wondered if she experience the pain one day, she opted to give Al a hug and back patting.
