The morning was not Harlow's favorite that was for sure. She normally was the type to stay up all night and now she was up early every morning. She had one of her arms folded in front of her and the other at her side holding a tray. She was dragging her feet as she wandered up to the line and gathered the food that she wanted on the plate, grabbed a drink and then paused as she looked at the rows of tables trying to figure out a spot that she wanted to sit.
And she found one across from a blonde kid, the cafeteria wasn't packed but she liked to take the empty spots of tables that she wasn't sure that anyone else was going to sit at (because not many people liked to sit across from people that they didn't know). Harlow enjoyed it though, she didn't exactly reach out to people to get conversation but she wasn't closed off from it either. She pulled out a book and started to skim through it while she poked at her eggs quietly. She was still groggy and honestly she wanted to just crawl back into bed.

Cafeteria food was... tolerable. The eggs were bland, the biscuits were dry, and it was always a gamble to take any kind of meat cause it could be rubbery or gross.
That said, hungry hunters have to eat.
Chris barely noticed Harlow sit down he was so busy shoveling food into his mouth hole. When he finally looked up he had a piece of toast hanging out of his mouth like a pretty girl late for school. All that was missing was the cherry blossoms. "Oh, hi. Didn't see you sit down." He chewed his toast slowly and squinted at her book, leaning towards her over the table. "Whatcha readin'?"

Harlow nibbled as she sat across from the man and then looked up when he spoke. She smiled and spoke, "I hope you don't mind." She was getting more comfortable here but at the same time she was still pretty nervous about visiting people and talking to them. She was always pretty unsure of how anyone was going to react here. There were so many people from so many different places. She looked up at him and then down at at the book. "Uhh. Something about pick pocketing or something like that." She laughed a little and then put it down. "I've been trying to read it for the past week but I feel like I keep reading the same sentence over and over again."

Chris snorted and shook his head. "'Course not, sweetheart. This ain't meangirls, you can sit here." He pulled the book towards him gently, tilting his head at the pages. This wasn't stuff he'd ever considered learning from a book, though he'd tried to figure it out when he was a kid. "You should get a kit and practice on that. Learn by doing. Is this the kind of stuff you learn for your division? What division are you?"
He pushed the book back towards her and went back to eating. Breakfast was way more important than learning.

It took Harlow a few moments to realize the reference that he was making. Oh yes, it was a movie. She snickered and then offered him a smile. "Thank you." She poked her fork into the fruit in front of her and swallowed down a mouthful before laughing and putting her book down. [color-lightseagreen]"I'm from the Mist division." She started, with a laugh and then prepared to get another mouthful of food, but then she looked up at him once again before taking the bite. "But honestly I'm mostly reading it as a joke with a friend." She explained she then looked up and then smiled, "What division are you in?" She asked leaning on her elbows as the took another bite. She crossed an arm in front of her as she waited for her answer.
