If Massalia was going to describe his plans for the day, it would not have included patrol. Sadly, it did- Earlier in the day the 11 year old's brother had discovered where his precious CD had gone, and Thomas, unlike Ruben-the-infuriating was far less nice about his little brother with his things. Where Ruben might scold but otherwise smile and laugh, Thomas had decided to have a go at his little brother by starting a fight, ending with the boy booted outside to burn off his energy for running through the house to escape his brother and climb a banister.
Details details.
So, he wandered off to patrol, making sure to keep his eyes and ears peeled for signs of danger and perhaps watch for any Chaos-oriented unfriendly sorts around the area.
Massalia was therefor highly disappointed in his brother, and highly inclined to grumble, but otherwise, he mostly moved, keeping from sight and mostly circling, wishing he saw someone he knew as a civilian - to creep out and play in his civilian form - or as a powered for company.

Whisler had been learning a lot as he continued his patrolling practice, and perhaps the most important lesson he had learned was to always bring some food along when going out. That had been a great lesson learned when the negaguy was coming at him the other day and pop went in a lobster roll…now he was saddled into giving the guy cooking lessons…but hey. It could have turned out much, much worse.
Regardless of all of that, Whisler had just come from cooking class once again, and had a bag of still somewhat warm pastries from the night’s lesson, and he walked back in the general direction of his apartment, he felt the tingle of someone else nearby, and after a moment, he decided to go towards the feeling. It was different than anything he had felt before, and he wanted to check it out.
It could, after all, be a pretty girl who would melt at his feet over his pastries. And yes. That would be a good thing. A very good thing.
The squire walked into a clearing and looked around for whoever was there. “Hey? Why don’t you show yourself, whoever you are? I’m Whisler. Squire of Polaris. What’s up?” He wished whoever it was would just come out and say something. He was starting to doubt that this was a friendly feeling after all…maybe it was just another beast in the night. How sad.

Massalia started at feeling another aura, but it was higher, and after a moment thinking, he decided it might not be bad- in fact it might be a little like Ashur, and the boy crept out when called to, the young Senshi peering up with wide brown eyes.
"Hello." He said curiously.
"My name is Massalia. It is nice to meet you, I hope." He introduced himself carefully - the knight had been equally polite, and Massalia was going to return thefavor, even if he felt awkward.

Whisler frowned slightly when the small person revealed himself. Well. That was not a pretty girl, not at all. That sucked. Though, for some reason he had the strangest feeling of…of something. Some sort of feeling that this disappointment had happened before. Oh well.
“Ah. Well, you’re a lot. Shorter than I was expecting, Massalia. You’re…you’re a senshi?” He was quite curious now, with this being the first senshi he had met on this side of the war. “I didn’t realize that senshi were quite so young…or so short…”
He shrugged. “It’s nice to meet you though?” He looked the kid up and down, sighing. “…Do you really think you’d last a minute against some of the people in this war here? Why did they get a little kid like you involved? Can you even defend yourself?”
The squire couldn’t help it. He was worried for the kid. He couldn’t be more than ten or eleven…he shouldn’t be out in this. Even though Whisler really didn’t have that much of an idea of how bad the war was…it was still a war…and children shouldn’t be involved. They should be put on a train and shipped off to distant relatives. Like in the Narnia books. Clearly that was the best solution for everything.

Massalia had never been so close to a Squire, not since 'boot camp', now he knew what the dickens knights were, and the boy happily examined him right back, looking up with a look of wonder.
"We-ell, not a grown up one." Massalia admitted. "But the older ones are... Feel different? I'm a Chibi Senshi. I'm not sure what that means though, because I'm still learning what's what." The boy smiled though. Whisler was already significantly nicer than Thomas' company, so Daniel was glad to speak to him.
"I'm better now than I was. I got to be- I have other Senshi I want to protect."
His smile went soft.
"They're nice..."

So there were two types of senshi? That was interesting. Chibi ones and…older ones. Very interesting. Whisler nodded as the boy spoke, then gave a little grin as he got all mushy about wanting to protect other senshi.
The Squire poked the chibi in the arm and waggled his eyebrows a little. “So. In other words, there’s a pretty girl and you totally have the hots for her, am I right?” He put his bag of food down on the ground and summoned his gold chain weapon and gave another little grin. “How about I see just how good you’ll be at protecting your little senshi friends?”
This would be a good chance to see just how impressive the senshi were…even though this was just a kid. “Come on. I’ll even let you make the first move, if you’d like. And I promise I won’t hurt you all that much.”
He hoped, at least.

Massalia squeaked, peering up and blushing.
"Subra is my friend." And almary! "...Butsheispretty."
And in a moment, Massalia squirmed shyly before tilting his head, bringing up his fists, just like Ashur showed him.
"Uhm, okay. I'll do my best!"

Subra, huh? Well. At least now Whisler knew if he ever met someone named Subra, that she was the one that this little kid liked. Oh the teasing he could do.
It took all of his concentration not to let yet another grin slide on to his face. Oh he wanted to pick on these kids so much. Now though, now was the time to fight. At least, to try to fight. “I’m counting on you to do your best. How else will you protect your friends, after all?”
Whisler pounced then, bringing his chain up, going to deliver a nice whack right to the top of Massalia’s head.
You had to pay attention during fights like this, after all.

DODGING Massalia could do, and the boy dropped, rolling to one side before kicking out for Whisler's kneecaps, focusing on fighting. He didn't want to make him hurt permanently, but a good dose of practice couldn't hurt, and he kept moving, watching, cautious.
"Gonna getchu!"

Whisler gave a little grin and jumped backwards. “I don’t think so, kid.” It was going to take a lot more than a little kick in the kneecaps to get Whisler down in the dumps…or down on the ground. He raised his chain, spinning it around over his head. It was so flashy when he did it, but of course, he wasn’t trying to hurt the chibi boy, not at all, maybe scare him a bit.
Something began to happen as Whisler continued to spin his chain. Some sort of power began bubbling up in the squire. As the magic began to flow through his weapon, what would feel like a powerful repelling magnet, pushing back Massalia to a distance of ten feet.
Of course, he had had absolutely no idea that this thing was even possible, so as the boy was pushed back, Whisler could do nothing but stare with his mouth open slightly in surprise.

Massalia squealed as he flew back, landing flat in surprise before getting up rapidly, eyes wide.
"Oh!" He exclaimed. "How did you do that?!" And how did that happen?! THIS WAS SO NEW.

Whisler lowered his chain after allowing the momentum he had gained from the spinning to stop. He stared at the senshi, now so far away from him and gave a shrug. “I…honestly, I had no idea that I could do that…and I’m not completely sure what I did, to be honest…”
He looked down at his chain for a moment, before giving a sly little grin and going to bonk the boy on the head with it again. “It was pretty darn cool though! I’ll have to see if I can do it again sometime. But don’t get distracted, kid.”

Massalia nodded, focus returning before he tried to punch him now that he'd come close again.
"You should. That's useful! I can't do anything like that." The Chibi admitted, and tried jumping on him.

Whisler laughed, thinking this kid might just be a little insane, but hey. Most people in this city were at least a little insane, if not completely insane. “You sure you can’t do anything like that? Maybe you can? Who knows. I’m sure you can do more than punch and bite. I mean, no offense kid, but if that was all the tools they gave you, you’re going to be out of luck when you end up in a real fight with someone…the Negaverse has legit weapons and it’s kind of scary when you’re face to face with a spear…or something like that.
The knight allowed the chibi to jump on him and attempted to throw him off, doing a move that pro wrestlers made look so easy…of course. As he tried, he just ended up falling over. There went his elbow. Ow.
NovaCracker We can wrap this up whenever, I saw you already posted for growth ;; Sorry for taking so long

Orangeish Sherbert It's OK, RL happens! I'll just steal you for more RP anyhow. smile Massalia was easily thrown, styunned a moment, but when Whisler landed funny the child seemed to recognize his ally was hurt, moving toward him in concern. "Not that I know of." He paused. "I... I've run into the Negaverse before. They're scary... I don't want to let them win, or hurt the others." And Massalia looked concerned at him. "Will you be okay?"
