Chel was there, at the building, at the appointed time, just like she said. She'd been given the same golem, thankfully, and now she just had to find Shun in a crowd of people.

It occurred to her that telling him to "meet her at Amityville" was very vague, so she instead camped herself at the front gate just in case. Hopefully he would be able to pick her out.

Especially since that "her" was currently a "him." Her golem was a snazzy male demon, white pale skin and handsome black hair and a set of shiny horns. She had a tail, which was an incredibly odd feeling, and a simple outfit that consisted of black colors with green and pink accents. At least the pink might be able to identify her? That was how people usually did it anyways.

Shun was on edge. He wasn't certain what to make of the message that had been relayed to him. Someone wanted to meet him. Unarmed. They were apparently female but were going to 'look like a demon dude'. It smelled like a hunter. From past experiences, hunters weren't really much of fighters when in a 'student' body. However, past experiences has also told him that they were at times armed with things such as net guns which didn't require much combat to go down.

Was it a trap? Maybe. He wanted to see what this was about, though. But he was going to try and do things on his own terms. He didn't approach the gate directly, as he sat in a tree near the entrance while scouting the area. There was only one male demon that he could see there right now. It was a tall one. With a narrowed eye, he summoned his blades, then shadowstepped behind them. He attempted to grab a hold of his back to push or slam him to the nearby wall. It was a little awkward, given how he was somewhat shorter, but the element of surprise might give him a leg up.

"What the hell do you want?" he hissed.

Shun approached from the distance and Chel held up a hand in greeting. But then he disappeared. What? Where did he go-

Oh. Okay. So he was behind her and he was pushing and being very not nice. "Yo Shun, you ain't gotta be a d**k about it." Unfortunately for Golem technology, they still hadn't figured out how to change the voice on these things, so her smokey voice was still attached to it.

"It's me uh- Chel," she confirmed. "'Cept in a dude's body." She paused and then added, "Trust me, it's definitely a dude's. I checked."

CURIOUS MINDS HAD TO KNOW THINGS OKAY.

Before the name was given, Shun realized he recognized the voice coming from the demon's body. He didn't let up just yet, still trying to pin the demon to the wall.

"Yes. I see that now," he grumbledbefore repeating his question, "What do you want, Chel?"

His gaze flicked around, trying to spot if anyone else was in the region.

"Just wanted to talk about the horsemen? They're kind of still at large yo. Was thinkin' you could maybe get Penumbra together so we could talk?" Now that she said it out loud, it was an incredibly shitty and poorly thought out plan.

She didn't resist the pinning, knowing that resisting would only put Shun more on edge. She did, however, request, "Can you uh. Stop tryin' to kill me? I'm in a golem yo. Even if I wanted to attack, I can't."

"I'm well aware. That isn't to say you might not have some allies in the 'bushes' with net guns or some s**t," he grumbled before easing up. The daggers remained in his grasp as he looked over Chel's current form.

"I don't know. We might. One member is a horseman himself. I believe I spotted him fighting along side us but I can't be completely certain where he stands now. The same goes for the other hunters," he stated, "Or the other students for that matter. Trust in hunters is not a common thing around here and for good reason."

Chel's eyes narrowed to incredulous disbelief. "Oh yeah! Come on out guys! Now's the time to jump him- in front of a school with dozens of witnesses!!" Of course, nobody emerged from the bushes, and quite a few people were beginning to give them- particularly Shun- odd looks.

She turned so that she could see Shun behind her. "I asked you to meet me here so you'd feel like you were on your home turf man. I ain't as dumb as you think."

Now that was she was free from his grip, she said, "That was a cool teleporty thing you did. Can you all do that?" So far she'd watched a girl fly around a room on butterfly wings, a guy turn into a giant pink wolf, and now Shun had magic teleporting powers. She was beginning to think that maybe she'd been born on the wrong side of the field.

"Yeah, I get that," she admitted at the mention of the other members of Penumbra. "I know Chris has got our back at least. Still haven't met Robert or Mimsy- I'm sure they'll turn up at some point. It's a small island." Still, Chel was hopeful. "The others? Clara, Delph, Lizzy and Edel?"

"It wouldn't be the first time you lot has pulled s**t on 'our turf' and specifically on this campus," he hissed lowly, still looking around carefully.

"Some. Not all," he grunted out as far as his shadowstepping ability went. A number of reapers were capable and he was certain there were some from the other races that knew something similar as well. Shun took a moment to think things over as Chel began to rattle off some names. Lizzy never trusted the horsemen and has expressed her disapproval of his hunter hate before.

"Lizzy may be on board. Xiu perhaps. I'm not familiar with Clara and Delph enough to know," he shrugged, "Edel seems to be as much a hunter hater as I am."

His good eye narrowed at her some more.

"What exactly do you plan on gaining by gathering everyone?"

Yes, the horsemen were still at large. He got that much. However, he had a feeling it would take more than a handful of hunters and halloween... some who haven't even graduated yet, to stop them. Especially since they had the power to destroy ancients.

"Ouch," Chel said as he explained who was a "hunter hater." "You do know I'm a hunter too, yeah? That hurts. Cuts me real deep." If her tone wasn't apparent, she was being very, very sarcastic.

As for his last question, Chel honestly had no idea. "I just want to see how everyone's feelin' about all this s**t. I think ..." How did she explain this? It was a dumb idea and Shun was the last person you told a dumb idea to. "Remember durin' the fight when we were all matrix back to back?" she asked. "I was thinkin' kinda like that. Right now horsemen are a bigger threat than either one of our sides."

Actually, Chel was starting to think the whole "sides" thing was stupid, but she didn't tell Shun that. He seemed pretty set in his ways. "I been here at Amity all week posin' as a journalist, askin' people what they think about an alliance. It's ... pretty mixed, to be honest." She pursed her lips in thought and then said, "But I wanted to see what Penumbra thought too. Plus what's wrong with seein' old friends!"

Shun let out a heavy sigh, shaking his head slowly. He didn't comment anything on Chel being a hunter. That was obvious, "I doubt an alliance could last for long. It would be shaky and the trust would be lacking The same goes for any longstanding peace between hunters and halloween. Too much s**t has happened."

"I won't deny that the horsemen are a bigger problem right now... unless you guys decide to make things otherwise," he stated lowly.

"Yo can we make one thing straight," Chel said, looking Shun in the eyes. "I'm a hunter, but I don't stand with all their choices. I'm there 'cause I can't leave, not 'cause I want to kill all the scary things that go bump in the night." Chel did believe in eliminating Halloween in the long run, but not if they could be advantageous or even beneficial. Had no one stopped for a second to even ask?

She shook her head. No matter what she said, Shun was never going to trust her. Moving on. "Maybe you're right. But think about how many lives we could save, even if its only a few, by forming an alliance, you know? We're way better working together than against each other, at least for now." She was borderline pleading with Shun.
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2014 1:59 pm

"Is that how you truly feel? You joined the hunters for a reason, did you not?" he asked in an even tone, keeping a steady gaze locked with Chel's. He had seen a number of hunters that seemed rather gung ho about eliminating all of Halloween. Deception also seemed to be a relatively common tool among them.

The reaper shifted in place, thinking things over. Shun had trouble deciding at the moment. On one hand, yes, she had a point. They would stand a better chance of stopping the horsemen from screwing over both their worlds together. But the vein of hatred flowed deeply within him.

"Fine. Yes. What you say is true. But I swear. If you or any of the other hunters within this alliance double-crosses any of us, I will personally kill you all," he coldly warned, "And in turn, if any of us does the same, I'll be sure they are dealt with, one way or another."

He didn't like this. But while he was far from being a hero or even someone with a particularly strong sense of morals, he still had some sense of honor. He would stick to his word as much as possible.

Chel actually laughed at Shun testing her feelings. Loudly. "You wanna know why I joined? I joined 'cause they said they'd leave Chris alone- let him live his life all normal. Look how that turned out." She gave Shun a nudge with her elbow and said, "You a'int the only one with a grudge, mister dark and mysterious."

She held up her hands and said, "Wait wait. There a'int any official alliance in place or nothin'. I'm just testin' the waters right now. Seein' if there's even a desire for allies, or if we're all too caught up on grudges 'n s**t." It was at least nice of Shun to say they wouldn't double cross either. Good thinking ahead. "I'd rather talk to the rest of Penumbra first, make sure they're all on the same page and stuff."

Was there anything else? Oh yeah! "Oh hey, what do you know about uh, Death? Amphi was saying it's an organization in Halloween that work with humans or something? What's that about?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2014 2:44 pm

Shun grunted lowly, then rolled his shoulders. It sounded like the hunters had used some underhanded methods of recruitment. He didn't know how truthful that was, but he supposed he could see that happening. It may explain why some of the hunters he had seen seemed rather uh...

Ill suited for their job on a mental level.

"Very well. I'll contact them, but I give no guarantees that any will show."

At the mention of 'Death', the reaper stared at her, wondering if she was dull to ask him what 'death' was, but the little bit of elaboration given helped some.

"Oh. Deth. They're an organization of human humpers, more or less. They have some good ideas; advocating fear harvesting in non harmful or deadly ways. but other ideas are just ******** weird. One would think you lot are made of glass. Supposedly you lose all your toes if you pass out too much."

He didn't sound completely convinced of that tidbit of information.

Chel raised her hand and said, "I passed out a few weeks ago, and my toes are fully intact." She laughed and continued, "Think I should go to them about the alliance idea, or do you think they'd shoot me down at the door."

She very much wanted to keep her body in one part, thank you.

"Where do you want to meet for Penumbra guild chat." Haha. Puns. "You'll uh. Need to be specific. I don't really know how to navigate this place."
