It seemed that she was finding herself alone more and more these days. Or perhaps 'at loose ends' was a better way to put it? Not that Masque minded, but she certainly had noticed. It was hard not to, with her father always flying off to heavens knew where, she hadn't seen him at all recently. Not that her older sister Kaishara was much better, really. She had been soaring off shortly after her sunrise flight, and sometimes didn't even return until after nightfall.
Masque de la Phantom paced through the softly silent woods, reveling in the afternoon quiet. There was the occasional bird song, and the soft sound of distant animals. A fox darted across the path, hesitating for a moment to no at her before disappearing into the thick growth at the edge of the path. A shower of raindrops heralded its disappearance.
It made a certain kind of sense for the woods to be so quiet, since a summer shower had just ended. The result was a crystal-dew on everything, leaving the grass beaded with droplets and the temperature much cooler for it. Though the woods weren't wreathed in mist in the manner that was her favorite, just after a storm was a close second. There were rain flowers blooming everywhere, all soft white petals with violet edges. She smiled at the sight of them, and how closely they resembled her own coat colors.
At loose ends without her sister to accompany her, the violet-coated mare picked up her pace to a gentle lope. Trained as a dancer, she moved with light strides and an airy grace, reveling in the ripple of breeze through her mane and bannering tail. Gold eyes searched the forest, and after determining she was alone, the Phantom's second daughter began to sing.
"When in the springtime of the year When the trees are crowned with leaves When the ash and oak and the birch and yew Are dressed in ribbons fair
When owls call the breathless moon In the blue veil of the night The shadows of the trees appear Amidst the lantern light
We've been rambling all the night And some time of this day Now returning back again We bring a garland gay
Who will go down to those shady groves And summon the shadows there And tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms In the springtime of the year
The songs of birds seem to fill the wood That when the fiddler plays All their voices can be heard Long past their woodland days
We've been rambling all the night And some time of this day Now returning back again We bring a garland gay
And so they linked their hands and danced Round in circles and in rows And so the journey of the night descends When all the shades are gone
A garland gay we bring you here And at your door we stand It is a sprout well budded out The work of our Lord's hand
We've been rambling all the night And some time of this day Now returning back again We bring a garland gay
We've been rambling all the night And some time of this day Now returning back again We bring a garland gay."

Avant Resari stalked the woods, silent and deadly to whatever fell in his path. He'd caught a fox and sent another fleeing. He had no interest in stalking that one down, the one he'd caught had been stringy and tasteless. There had to be something better to eat in the forest, something just waiting for him to find and kill.
Making sure he'd cleaning himself up so there wasn't a speck of blood or fur on his self, he moved forward, silent. Leathery wings were folded tightly to his back as he moved, ducking under branches and using his tail to ease his way. It was something that he'd learned early on, so that he could stalk his sisters in the games they used to play. It was also something he planned on using the brash full-blooded Kalona's who dared look down on him, on his sisters. They were every bit as lethal as they were.
Avant's head came up, ears twitching forward as a... song drifted through the woods. Interest perked, he made his way to the sound, careful to make no noise to alert the singer.
It was quite beautiful and he didn't want to scare the mare, so he stopped at the edge of a shadow, blending in well enough that she wouldn't see him unless she was looking for him.
And she most certainly wasn't looking for him.
There were very few things that Avant admired, and they were things that he could not do. Singing and dancing with effortless grace were among those few things. And the mare was... stunning. Not only in the fact she was beautiful, the deep wine of her coat covered with the patterns of feathers, but her voice was... indescribable. How did one put into words the ebb and flow of someone trained to sing, and sing so well that even the hunger he felt always was temporarily abated, his whole being soothed for that moment, listening to her sing.
Of course, she did have to stop, stop singing, stop dancing, snapping him out of the spell. Still, he was impressed. Very much so, but this strange mare. He didn't step out of the shadows, just tilting his head and speaking softly, "Beautiful."

"We've been rambling all the night And some time of this day Now returning back again We bring a garland gay."
She drifted and slowed, floating to a halt as the song ebbed away. Without hesitation Masque let the music go, feeling as if in some way she became an earthly creature once more. With music, she could fly as well as her sister or father.. She could be just as graceful, and as soaring. But when the song ended, she was just Masque again, walking along the ground and hoping no one noticed her. She was still smiling though, her heart lifted by the music and the feelings it brought her.
Apparently her wish to remain unnoticed was a vain hope today, because as she drifted to a halt another presence announced itself. It was probably foolish to let herself get swept up in a song, to get so lost in a melody that she didn't pay attention to where she was going or who was around her. But she hadn't been watching, and now she was in a section of the woods that she didn't really recognize. The trees seemed taller and closer than she was used to, blocking out much of the sun and sky until it was difficult to discern which direction was what.
And on top of the fact that she had gotten herself lost, someone had heard her sing... Ducking her head shyly the mare turned, searching for her unknown audience. She cleared her throat and hesitated when a suspicious shadow caught her eye, bobbing her head in a slight bow. "Oh.. Thank you very much. You're very kind to say so. I am sorry if I disturbed you. I'm afraid I was not watching where I was going, but I meant no harm."

Avant Resari laughed softly, a deep, smooth sound of actual amusement. "I am not being kind. You have a beautiful voice." He was slightly surprised that she spotted him in the dark, but it wasn't like he didn't have a white mane, and glowing red markings. "You didn't disturb me at all, little songbird. I found your song quite soothing. It has been some time since I have heard a voice like yours."
He couldn't actually place any time that he had heard someone sing as she did, so wrapped up in just the music, the song. Not what one could do with it. Avant was planning on bothering his older sister, now, to see if she could sing as well. Because the Faythren's, all of them, did have a love of song. Even him. Though he didn't think his Song would have any benefit here.
"You caused no harm." He soothed. "You may have averted harm, actually." Musing, he stepped a bit further back into the shadows. For once, Avant didn't want to scare her away, and he felt as if he would if he stepped out into the sunlight. Ground horses, which the exception of his grandsire, seemed skittish around Kalona's. Even a half-ground like himself. Not that he looked it, but he was.
"I hope it is not alarming, but it was a pleasure to hear you sing, and watch you dance. I almost expected you to fly, how graceful you were." He hummed thoughtfully for a moment, traces of his own Song just lingering in the air. "Perhaps... Would it be possible for you to sing for me? I would be deeply honored."

Masque tilted her head when he laughed at her, considering his words. She knew she was rather skilled with song, her father and family rather demanded it. It was no hardship, with natural talent making up for half of it and practice taking care of the rest. She was modest, but false modesty was not a flattering trait on anyone.
"I thank you very much for your compliments." She murmured, gold eyes narrowed as she tried to discern his shape within the shadows. It was somewhat difficult as she was standing in the sunlight, but she could see a hint of glowing markings here and there within the shadow. "My family loves to sing, I am glad you enjoyed it and I was not disturbing your solitude. I understand there is a kind of beauty in the quiet forest. I would hate to rob you of it."
She briefly wondered where he had heard someone singing like her. Her mother was not the singer of the family, and she did not think her father or grandfather had sung for an audience in quite a while. Still, the mystery was intriguing, making her linger as she considered his words.
You caused no harm.
You may have averted harm, actually.
"I am very glad to hear of it." She laughed softly, surprised that he would say such things and that he seemed to be withdrawing deeper into the darkness beneath the trees. "I am afraid I got carried away, but I am glad to hear I put on a good show, even when I do not intend to."
She shifted slightly on her hooves, fighting the urge to dance off again.
"Most of the others in my family were blessed with wings." She admitted, glancing at the pattern on her coat. "I merely bear their image... But I thank you for granting me such grace."
Her ears perked as he hummed a dark tune, just a fracture of music that was wholly unknown to her... But beautiful in its own way. She tilted her head at the question, considering it for a moment. "I would be glad to sing for you... Do you have any song that you would like to hear? Perhaps one from long ago? If I know it, I would be glad to sing it for you."

"You are very welcome to your compliments. I think that they miss the mark wonderfully. Saying simply thing you have a beautiful voice is like saying the night is dark." Avant continued smoothly. "I would sacrifice the quiet for the sound of your voice at any time, little songbird." He watched her turn what he'd said over in her mind, making her wonder, making her stay. That was going to be the tricky part of this engagement.
"My family is also known for it's Song, although probably not in the same way that your family is known." As much as it would be fun to Sing to her, the result of his personal Song would be her madness for a short time. If he sang without using his Song, as he was being taught, perhaps he could sing with her. Capture her in a duet and see where the song went, perhaps. Perhaps.
This was probably the most fun he'd had all week.
"I think you should let yourself get carried away more often. You are stunning when you dance. I have seen many with wings possess less grace that you are capable of." Avant wondered if he was laying it on a bit too thick, but it was true. Even he wasn't as graceful in the air. Of course, being graceful wasn't his aim. "I'll bet you've done a fair amount of practice to become so good."
Avant watched her interest in his Song, that little bit he let out. Perhaps that would be a way to catch her, then. Perhaps. Raising an eyebrow that she couldn't see, he considered her request. He'd thought he would have had a harder time convincing her to sing for him again.
He took a step out of the shadows, because if she was going to grace him with another song, she should at least know who she was singing too. The light made him narrow his red eyes for a moment, before he could blink them open again, light falling on his webbed wings, folded against his back. He bowed his head slightly and tilted it so she could see his horns. Avant paced a bit at the edge of the treeline, markings flaring brightly in the sunlight. His tail twitched idly.
"My lady, I would I would indeed be honored to hear you sing again, but I have no idea what I would like to hear." He laughed softly at himself, voice deep and soothing. "Please, surprise me?"

"You are most kind." Masque shifted slightly on her hooves and flicked her tail, bobbing her head in an acceptance. His comments about the night made her laugh, shaking her head. "True enough the night is dark, but it is so many more things besides. Very well, I understand what you meant."
She glanced around the grove, admiring the tracery of flowers over the twisted old trees and the bright moss against dark bark. The quiet of this area was soothing, like a welcome oasis when the press of a herd became too much for one to handle. Then again, if he was so willing to trade the quiet for her voice, perhaps he had no such concerns. No mate or herd to interrupt his solitude, until she'd wandered a long.
"It is still very beautiful, I cannot help but feel as though I have interrupted." She smiled. "Though if you insist I have not, and that my song is welcome, I will of course believe you."
A strange thing to say to a stranger.
"Your family sings too?" Surprise swept over her, making her ears perk and one hoof stray forward, as though she swayed toward him. "How interesting, though I wonder how they are known for it if not in the same way as my family?
It was, intriguing to say the least, thought his comments on her dancing made her duck her head slightly to hide a smile. She could only imagine what foolish antics of foals and young Soquili he had seen, out in the woods as he was.
"I would argue if my sister were here to prove my point... But as it stands, I will happily accept your compliments." She laughed "Yes, I do practice, though usually without an audience."
It was nice, to hear his compliments, and it seemed like there was nothing but honesty behind them. He was charming, and attentive, appreciative of her song and dance. Which made her want to play to the audience, if only a little. Her father's nature in her, no doubt. Perhaps an audience, the right audience, was worth it after all.
Seeing him step into the light made something in her long to bolt for freedom, but she instead remained very still. It was hard not to run from a predator, but smarter than fleeing. He had wings and knew the terrain, and why ruin a civil conversation? No, and no again. If he could be complimentary, she could manage not to flee in terror shrieking "Kalona!" like some empty-headed ninny.
Perhaps he wasn't bad... Was just as civil as their conversation lead her to be. Perhaps not, and it was all some elaborate ruse. Still, if she ran, it certainly was over... And she had no wish to think of that. Instead, she cleared her throat and sang:
"Child of the wilderness Born into emptiness Learn to be lonely Learn to find your way in darkness
Who will be there for you Comfort and care for you Learn to be lonely Learn to be your one companion
Never dreamed out in the world There are arms to hold you You've always known your heart was on its own
So laugh in your loneliness Child of the wilderness Learn to be lonely Learn how to love life that is lived alone
Learn to be lonely Life can be lived, life can be loved alone..."

Avant shook his head, mindful that she couldn't see him. "I find more beauty in a properly voiced song than in anything that the tree-dappled sunlight can offer. The only thing you could have possibly interrupted is my boredom of this place, I have passed through it so many times."
Perhaps it was a strange thing to say to a stranger, but he felt it was important to say nonetheless. "Our Songs can have interesting effects on people. You might have hears of us, Faythren?"
Avant enjoyed watching her try to hide her smile, Which was strange, he normally didn't enjoy anyone else's... well, enjoyment. Perhaps she was going to be interesting to keep around for a little while. "I doubt your sister is anything compared to you. Those who have to earn what they do are always more beautiful to me."
He watched her reaction closely as he stepped out, watched her stiffen and stay still like he was going to pounce on her the moment she decided to move. It wasn't too far off a guess, but if she decided to flee instead of sing to him, he might just let her go. That wasn't the sort of sort he was into tonight, apparently. Besides, regardless how she reacted, he didn't think that he wanted to remove such a beautiful singer from the world. There were far to few.
Avant smiled softly at the song she chose, closing his eyes to better listen to it, swaying softly. She couldn't know, but it was a favorite of his, for all it's cadence was sad, it was also true.
"A wonderful choice." He murmured when she finished, opening his eyes again. "I have no heard that one in quite some time." He smiled at her, a true honest smile. "Lonely, but so beautiful. You do know how to choose well, little songbird."
Avant bowed his head in respect. "I am Avant Resari Faythren. Might I be honored with your name?"

"I am glad to give it new worth in your eyes then, for I find it most charming." Masque returned with a playful smile and gentle amusement. "And again, as always, I thank you for the compliment."
She imagined if one journeyed through the same place day after day, they may grow bored indeed of the sights. Still, there were moments when watching the sunset paint the river took her breath away, so perhaps she was just one of those silly girls who saw beauty everywhere. Her sister was like that, and Masque didn't see anything truly 'silly' in such a quality. But then again, considering the source she was not exactly neutral on the matter.
His confession regarding his own music made her ears swivel forward in interest, a faint warning darting down her spine. She let the frisson of worry pass without comment, turning her memories over silently as she searched for clues. Faythren. She had herd that name before, knew something of them, from stories here and there and perhaps two or three encounters.
"Some of the Fayth are known to me and mine." She admitted after a moment of consideration, her gold eyes sparked with interest and perhaps more than a hint of admiration. "As any sort with music in their veins would be known to a family such as mine..."
She didn't presume to speak above herself or those she had crossed paths with. There was one Fayth that wandered the lands, offering healing when it was needed and stories to foals and youths when they were inclined to listen. She had heard him speak once or twice, but while there was music in his tone, he had never sang to them. She always found it odd, but had never questioned him aloud. It seemed a rude thing to do, and a personal thing to ask of a stranger. She knew there were others, he spoke of them more than once, and there were always stories passed among the Clans and Herds.
Well, a mystery for another time, perhaps? For now she tossed her head with a laugh, shaking it at his flattery. "I will not argue, for I find my heart lifted by your praise. But my Elder sister is lovely, and I do not have it in my heart to speak ill of her in any way. I will agree that I have worked hard to master the gifts that seemed to please you, and in that I am content."
She nodded her head decisively, as though laying the matter to rest. It was a matter of practicality to be still once she realized she had a Kalona's attention, but she would not let instinct or fear make her foolish. They were having a perfectly civil conversation, and would continue to do so, so long as circumstances allowed. She was not going to run like a coward and spark a hunt when he was more content to hear her sing.
So she sang instead, a song of loneliness taught to her by one from another Clan who said it was from his homeland. He had a deep voice and had murmured it to her, and she had practiced until he'd said the cadence was right. The pitch was something she'd worked out by ear and by practice, but her audience seemed to enjoy her rendition just fine. She had not expected him to know the song, but the fact that he did merely served to intrigue her.
"I thank you, though I confess I did not expect it to be something you knew." She admitted with faint bemusement. "A chance perhaps, but there we have it. I find myself surprised and amused, but I am glad it was something you enjoyed and recognized." His faint bow made her smile, ducking her head slightly in reply. "Well met, Avant Resari Faythren and a pleasure it is. I am Masque de la Phantom, Masque if it pleases you, and it is indeed a privilege to make your acquaintance on this fine day."

Avant smiled at her, a devious twist to his lips. "It can be charming, of course, but I find it moreso with the end of a song trailing through the light. Perhaps it is just me, but there is just something about your voice. I find it enchanting." He was being mostly honest, but mostly because he was wondering what would happen if a Fayth had a voice like hers. What he, or she, could do with such an instrument would be an endless possibility.
"Some of the Fayth are known to mostly everyone. My... branch of the family is a little less known, I'm afraid." Not that he minded. What good was a hunter when all the prey knew him? "We don't wander around and sing or heal or whatever it is my Grandsire decides is best at the time. My father is... sort of the black sheep of the family?" He laughed a little at that, amused at his own humor for a moment. "But I can't think he would sing for anyone other than his love." Avant hummed in thought. "We can be, and often are, particular about whom we sing too."
He grinned, victorious with her laugh. "If that is all it takes to lift your heart, little songbird, then I will continue to provide such complements. I will say I am glad you have worked so hard for your voice, and your talents. So many just... have them and don't see how hard it can be to obtain them."
Humming a cord of the song, he nodded. "Yes, it is one from someplace far away. But I have traveled far, and it is something..." He had heard a different mare sing it at the time, and had found it beautiful. The mare had been as well, but she didn't survive the encounter. "Something I had forgotten I enjoyed as much as I do."
"Masque. It does please me." He took a few steps forward, and bowed deeply, letting his wings unfold a bit. "You please me, actually. And there are many that do not. Will you do me the honor of walking with me, on this fine day?"

She laughed softly at his smile, for it was charming in a way that was not entirely tame. A feral, wicked amusement that was nearly at her expense... But not yet malicious; or at least not yet. He thought her foolish, she was willing to bet.
"I thank you for attributing me with such power." She teased back with a flick of her tail. "One would think me magical indeed, to give a place you care little for new worth, and only for a song. I am charmed that you are thus enchanted with a simple melody."
She was even more glad that he had enjoyed her rendition of the song, since it was unexpectedly known to him. Masque was rather used to being out-shone by her elder sister, after all. Kaishara was the first born, bore their father's markings and certainly stood with the greatest resemblance to him. She had his wings and his love of dance as well as song, it was no surprise at all if she be favored. It was nice, to be the one admired for a change.
"Wide-wandering Clans are like that." Masque remarked lightly. "Known to many. And surely there are always those who look down on one relative or another. We cannot all be perfect in our families eyes, can we?"
She smiled faintly at his laughter. "So then, your father sings, but only to a most exclusive audience? It must be quite a song, as you -and consequently he- do not strike me as one prone to shyness."
Masque shifted slightly, tilting her head as she considered his words. There was no way she would speak to all the workings of her family, now was certainly not the time nor place for that. As for those who had gifts and could not or would not put them to good use, well, she had known a few herself.
"Then I am glad to have reminded you, for it can be a joyous thing, recovering that which you once loved." She admired the elegance of his movement as he bowed to her, smiling faintly. "I would be most delighted to accompany you, Avant, and perhaps to hear a tale or two of your wanderings."

Avant hummed softly. "I didn't attribute the power to you, you had it all along." He grinned at her, taking a slow step closer, so as not to spook her at all. That would just be tragic, with what he was starting to have plans for her. "Only for a song... Heh, I believe that songs are everything, so if 'only for a song' means a great deal. To me, at least." Besides that, the melody was well chosen and well sung, and that particular gift was one not many possessed. They would always over do it, or choose the wrong song for the occasion. Masque did have a real gift for music. It made her all the more desirable.
For all her music, she as a Soquili wasn't as interesting to him as someone would have to be for him to take them as a mate. It wasn't her fault, of course, most others didn't even pass his expectation for what he was thinking of doing to her. Her voice wasn't her only redeeming quality, since she was a ground and it provided a certain symmitry to his life, but her voice was what captured him. And it was her voice that was going to get her in so. much. trouble.
He smiled at that. "Yes, they are, aren't they? I'm soure our names are known widely, for both good and bad reasons." He snorted. "If you knew my father, you'd know the title was well deserved."
Avant considered her with a faint smile. "I don't know if it is the song, or the singer, that would make it impressive, but yes. It is not a song we share, but a talent for it, and it is something we guard." He laughed outright at the last. "No, we are not shy. Not in the least."
His bow was well received, and she seemed to accept his invitation not out of fear, but out of a desire to know more of him. Well, that would be perfect. He had plenty of stories, both true and false, that would serve him well in this particular instance. "I thank you for that reminder. It had been such a long time." Avant smiled and tilted his head to the left, along the path she had been traveling. "Shall we, then?" He set off without waiting for her answer, completely sure she was going to catch him in moments.

"As you like then, but you are the first to recognize such a 'power' in me. I assure you no others before you have said a word of it." Masque tilted her head, considering him with amusement still lighting her golden eyes. His mention of the worth of a song made something in her heart lift, strengthening in the praise rather than shrinking away from it like she usually did.
Perhaps it was merely this stallion's peculiar gift, but he leant her boldness not previously felt or displayed. "You certainly measure wealth and cost in a manner different from others I have known... I find myself quite enchanted with the differing ideology."
She knew of course that he was not saying all that crossed his mind, though then again nor was she. Still, there was an air of danger about him, for all his flattery... And she rather imagined that even as he complimented her, he weighted her action and responses. If it was some peculiar test or the evaluation was his usual reaction to strangers, she could not tell them apart. Still, she knew what he was doing and acted accordingly. Interested, but not careless.
Until he proved himself a danger to her life or health, she was content to enjoy the company. Outside of her own Clan she was so rarely afforded the chance to discuss music and song, this was certainly a change of pace and a bit of a treat. Avant was knowledgeable, and no easily-bought audience. If he said she sang well, he meant it.
"At least, in my experience." She offered with a light shrug, and it was not just his clan she thought of when she said so. There were others known to her, lost sons of lost sons of the greater herds... That were a credit or even outshone their bloodline, for all that they would never return 'home'. Masque was a silent believer in judging one on their own merit, and while she found such companions delightful, it made her second guess what she knew of their more distant relations.
If they (some of them being her dearest friends) were so grand and yet received with such derision or distaste by the Greater Herd, perhaps it was the Herd she did not wish to know. And while she had said this also to a friend or two, it was an observation she kept to herself for the most part. Perhaps, if Avant continued as he was, she would share the thoughts with him as well.
She rather imagined it would only make him laugh at her.
"Perhaps I shall content myself to be grateful it is you I have met on this day, rather than your father." She murmured lightly. "As far as guarding, I find that all treasures should be protected, though perhaps not completely hidden away until they are lost. So then it is good that you play to at least a 'certain' kind of audience, rather than none at all."
She lowered her head in a quick half-bow of her own, golden eyes laughing. "You are welcome again and again, my unexpected audience. And yes, I suppose we shall."
She began moving even as he turned to resume her previous route, and though she would not lead him to her original destination she did not mind continuing on this way for a time. Besides, there was every chance he would wish to part ways before she even neared her home, so she would not worry what her sisters might think if she lead such a potential danger to them.
'Chaci would leap the moon if I did such a thing...' She thought to herself as she glanced up at the stallion pacing along beside her. 'And Papa? I don't even want to think of it... But that is a worry for another time, I am sure.'
"So then, tell me." She murmured with a laugh and a light dance of hooves. "To this day, what is the greatest adventure you can claim to have had in this land?"

Avant laughed softly. "Then you have been around the wrong Soquili. Or, perhaps, they are just to stupid to realize what a gift you have. I would assume the latter. There are not many who would be able to see something so magnificent." He purred a little. "And those that would see it would probably try to take advantage of it. You should be careful who you share it with." The warning was what it was, for he really did mean himself as well. Her song was her best feature, though she had quite a few other admirable traits. She was quite lovely, and it wasn't often he would think to say that about another. He did normally judge on other things, after all.
"I'm glad you are intrigued by the notion. Those who don't understand the true worth of a song are worthless themselves. But then, most of them don't understand much of anything. You should find that would for yourself, if you don't know already." Avant was amused that she didn't seem afraid of him. Cautious, but not afraid. It was refreshing, in its own way, that she was smart enough to be worried about him.
He twitched his tail in thought, wondering if she spoke to anyone else about her gift. Perhaps no one saw it as such. "Tell me, how did you gain this gift? Were you taught or was it just something you could do? I know many who would love to be able to sing as you do. Those who would envy your gift, you should be careful of them." Again, a warning. Because there were those who would hate the fact that she sang so beautifully. If he didn't have some ulterior motives, he might hate it too.
He moved slowly enough, just wandering because he had no real notion of where he wanted to go, just wanted to walk a bit. The company would be very welcome, actually.
Folding his wings back, he regarded her for a moment. "The greatest adventure I've had?" He laughed, a deep sound a bit out of place. He didn't even know where to begin. Did he start with the amusing meeting with his Grandfather. Or perhaps his meeting with the little sparrow. No, no he shouldn't mentioned that. "Why, this is the greatest adventure I've every had, truly."
