Pan was still as Corrupter spoke, judging. Weighing. There was some silence, even after Corrupter had finished speaking, as he formulated his own reply.
"I am Pandion. Named for the osprey who mars my genes, who corrupts me from normal into beastlike. But I embrace that corruption, without letting it consume me.
I never seeked to serve.
I never sought companionship. I believe in myself and myself alone. I felt I was against the world.
And then it changed. I found other like myself. Others who were corrupted, who were different.
I began to care, and I began to believe.
I began to see corruption as something to spread, rather than to covet.
I heard of you, who embodies the very ideal of corruption.
I cannot say pulling strings like the mastermind appeals to me.
I am perhaps more feral than that, more of an action-focused person then a planner.
I admire her work...her dedication, but it is you I wish to serve, your umbrella I would find purpose.
If you will accept me as I am, I will promise to align my focus with yours till the end of days."
