He didn't think he looked like a complete idiot anymore, as he tried to fly about. Yes, he still fumbled a little, but it was nothing that persistence and his stunning good looks couldn't distract anyone from. Oblivion hadn't even attempted to stay in his Khehorian form as he glided over the ocean, instead opting to take the simpler, more familiar route of using his Khehora body. But as soon as there was land beneath his claws again, he wanted nothing more than to strut about displaying his new powers. So that everyone on Eowyn could see. They would see him and be in awe of him, and then they would tell Sam what a wonderfully glorious mate he had.
The Diabi preened, grinning and fluttering his wings at the thoughts of the wonderful things that were to come. He could only imagine what his kids would see. The awe and wonder shimmered in their eyes and they bounded toward him to claw at his legs and chirp excitedly at him. He would scoop them both up and hold them in his arms and-
"Levi? Levi! Is that you?" The Diabi was pulled from his thoughts as a small Nekkora leaped from an outcropping of rocks and fluttered down to him.
Oblivion blinked, surprised to be looking so far down at another Khehora after spending most of his time with Sam, and then only meeting other, larger Khehora since his transformation. Still, there was no mistaking the youngster that stood before him. "Carrion! What are you doing here," Levi squealed in delight as he reached out to loop an arm around the Ayrala's neck. "And how did you know it was me?"
The Ayrala snorted derisively and flicked his tail. "I could smell the smug coming off of you from a mile away." Well, that wasn't entirely accurate. He'd been sunning against the gray rocks, enjoying the sounds of the desert wind gliding over head, tousling up dust and sand and tugging the tatters of his wings. He'd probably laid there for some time before something large and fluttery dipped over his head, fighting the breeze and staggering against the wind. He'd ignored it at first, but he couldn't help but get a closer look after seeing the familiar rustle of feathers... "Anyway, you look well. Particularly excited about something," he questioned with a tip of his head, as Carrion recalled the smirk he'd seen plastered across the Diabi's face.
Levi blinked and stared back at him. Carrion was Sam's son... Levi had even done some of the raising himself. That made him like an older brother to the two little orakoi still flopping about back home. "Yes," he purred silkily, drawing out the last letter like a snake. He didn't wait for Carrion to respond and instantly latched onto the tip of the Ayrala's wing. "C'mon, c'mon! It is exciting, and you'll love it too, I'm sure!" There was a fraction of resistance. "You have to come home and meet your new brother and sister!"
