Sueno, thinking about leaving the farm to go and learn from hunters on how to tame and catch the more wild beasts, figured she should at least go and say hi to her friends Avani and Ismene before leaving. She hadn't had a lot of time to spend with friends due to the planting season and all her lessons.
"Hey Ma," she asked as she wandered into the kitchen, "Can Ah go and see Avani and Ismene? Ah've got no lessons today and seems like Pa's got enough help with the farm." Liopa looked over and smiled.
"Certainly! Take some of your produce as gifts to their parents while you're at it."
"Thanks Ma." Sueno grinned and skipped up to her room to put on her nice set of clothes. I'll ride Gazini there too, show off my Hastar! She thought happily as she filled a basket with some apples and peaches before heading to the new barn.
"Come on Gazini," she chirped happily, "Let's go for a ride!" First, she thought as she saddled her mount, I'll go to Avani, see if she's free, if she is I'll see if I can get her to go to town with me... and then we can go shopping or meet with Ismene!

Avani was sort of bored. She was laying in her pumpkin patch with Nix, who was sleeping soundly, and looking up at the sky though the broad leaves. She had seen the development of some flower buds, and was excited as she couldn't wait to see them bloom! It was cool here, the shade from the trees next to the barn extending over the patch this time of day and leaves of the plant keeping her covered. It was sort of fun, but she'd rather be doing something. Her ears twitched as she heard a hastar approach the house. All the hastars her parent's owned were out with the ranch hands looking over the Sheron. She popped up, disturbing the sleeping Nix in the process, and looked around before bouncing up and heading to the front of the house. Who could it be?

Sueno waved a greeting as she saw her friend Avani come around the side of the house. "Hey Avani! Ye free and wanna go shopping?" She had Gazini trot up to the porch before reigning him in. He was a lot easier to control now that they'd both gotten used to each other. Plus he knew that if he behaved, she rode him more often as well as gave him more freedom in the pastures. All for just acting nice for a short amount of time~

Avani smiled as she saw Sueno and waved hello. "I would love to go shopping! Let me go tell Mama and get some coins!"Avani ran into the house and up the stairs with Nix following her, and got her bag of coins from behind the bookshelf. As she ran back down to the kitchen she told her mother she was going with Sue to shopping. She got her mother's approval, and ran back outside with Nix. Avani wouldn't mind taking the fea, but she had to ask Sue if her hastar was up to a fea coming along. "Does your hastar mind if Nix comes?" she said tying the pouch to her belt. "I don't know if your hastar can be around her..." She smiled sheepishly about that last part.

The saddle was a simple one, when meant she could seat another behind her, so long as . " Nah, Gazini's fine! I've got four Fae's myself so he's used to them. So long as Nix dinna bite or screeches we should be fine. Ah was thinking we could go into town and meet up with another of my friends. Ismene. She's more of a bookish person, but very fashionable." Or had been, but probably still was! Sueno had adored the outfit that Ismene had worn, though it was very impractical on a farm. " Perhaps she can show us the better tailors in town!"

Avani nodded at Nix, and offered a hand out to her, and the little fea flapped her wings a bit and landed on her arm, then scampered up to her shoulder. It seemed the best place to her. "She doesn't scratch." Avani said petting Nix's head, "She steals sweet cakes and rolls from mama."Nix chirped. She had no idea what was just said, but she was happy to come along. Avani's ear's perked up at Ismene's name, "Oh I know Ismene! I borrow books from her shop all the time. And I do love her clothes! She has some nice taste indeed!"Avani loved to look at all the different dresses Ismene had on when she visited. She couldn't wear such pretty frocks on a farm, and Avani's family depended on homespun cloth most of the year. But if she had enough to buy one, Avani would this time!

Sueno grinned, "So we all know each other! Makes this easier." She said with a laugh as Gazini trotted off down the road to town. Figures Avani would be interested in the books, she thought to herself, I've never been much into it myself. "Maybe we should just.. stay the night? Ma probably wouldn't mind. And we are adults... that way we dinna have to be rushed, right Avani?" She asked over her shoulder. "If not Ah'll get us back afore dark." The town was busy, like always, but not too busy, so she figured they might as well just ride all the way to Ismene's book store.

"No worries Sue! I'm sure it would be ok with Mama." Avani said smiling, "I can send a note with Nix to tell Mama I'm spending the night with Ismene." She thought for a moment and said, "Though I don't think Nix would come back..." Avani was hesitant to tell Sueno of the khehora egg she had acquired.... Oh well, she'd soon find out anyway. "Nix has, er, some chores to do." Avani said smiling. Well, that was close enough to the truth! Avani loved coming to town. She loved watching the people, and talking to them as well. But Avani couldn't wait to get to the bookstore. She loved having a reason to visit with her friend! Nix jumped down, a little bored of riding and ran next to the hastar chirping and making happy noises. She usually ran wild in the town, as long as she could see her mistress, though she stayed clear of the beast's big feet.

Sueno stopped Gazini outside the shop she knew Ismene worked at; "Hopefully she's in and down't mind us crashin' at her place...though Ah guess we can always stay in an inn... always did want to stay there." She mused as she tied Gazini to a rail along the side of the building next door to keep him from running off. "Let's see if Ismene's in and wants to go shopping with us!" Sueno grinned as she entered the book shop.

Lately things had been so boring for Ismene. She wasn't sure she wanted to be a scholar any more, and things were just getting very confusing for her. Plus she was pretty lonely. Sure she had friends, but she hadn't seen either of her two friends in a while. Everything had just been crazy.
She was pouring over a book in the back of the book shop when she heard the bell that signified that someone had walked in. Putting a smile on her face she placed the book back before heading towards the front of the shop. "Hello and welcome... Sueno! Avani!" she said with a laugh as she spotted her two friends. This was just what she needed. She ran over and hugged them in turn.
"What are you two doing here?" she asked happily. She could not believe her luck.
