Chel HATED the life division.
All their weird a** experiments. The way they holed themselves up in their precious labs. The secret gadgets and gizmos that powered the island- all of it wigged her out completely. She liked visiting the labs from time to time, but only for the sole purpose of bothering the s**t out of Jack.
So the fact that she was being forced to report to the infirmary for mental inspection was the biggest drag ever.
She was a good girl though. She patiently approached the lab lounge and found a girl waiting for her. Presumably that was the "Kylee" girl they'd told her about, considering there was no one else noticeably waiting in the lounge area. "You Kylee?" she asked, slapping herself down in one of the chairs. Not as quickly or as hard as she normally would- no, with her injured stomach it had to be somewhat gentler. "What up, lifey?"xmelodine cantus i am sorry in advance .....

On the contrary, Kylee loved the life division.
Then again, she had been majoring in forensic science in college, and thus she had been assigned to it for this very reason. It was so exciting to learn about new information regarding the creatures of Halloween and FEAR, and to be able to observe all this new equipment she had never seen before.
But of course, she was just a trainee, and her current assignment was to interview a few hunters with regards to their experience on at the desert.
...Kylee herself wasn't even quite sure what had actually went down. She still wasn't too terribly informed about the horsemen, and the difference between them and Halloween citizens; all she knew was that Medea was a clear threat and enemy to them.
That wasn't enough, however. Maybe she could be enlightened by her interviewees.
"Oh, hey!" She brightened up as the first girl arrived. "You're... um, Chel right? We had to find stuff with FEAR detectors with Lex and Marcus." That had been relatively tame, compared to what had happened right before they were sent back to the island.

It visibly took a moment for the gears to click in Chel's head, but when they do she sat up a little straighter. "Ah yeah! The hottie from the desert. I remember you," she said. "Sorry, a lot's happened since then. Memories always been kinda rattled, y'know?"
Chel laid her arms over the back of the couch and slouched a bit further (if it was possible). "So what's up? You hear to scratch around inside my noggin and s**t?"

She blushed slightly.
"It's... okay. There was a lot to process, after all." But knowing that even an experienced hunter was rattled by such an experience comforted her somewhat. At least it meant it wasn't something too common.
...Right?
"I'm just collecting some information about what exactly transpired down at the tower and Medea and all that." Kylee clarified, and then gave a soft sigh. "To tell the truth, I don't really understand it all, either. I don't even really know who Medea really is." It was like something shameful, especially when she was a Lifer. But this wasn't college, where she could just pick up books and study all the information within the pages.

Yup, just as she'd suspected. An interview.
"Alright, alright," Chel oozed with a certain amount of swagger to her. "Where do you wanna start brah?" There were, after all, a lot of events to cover. She could go on for days about it.
Hopefully Kylee wasn't here to interview her about Evan. That was something she preferred to keep under wraps.

"Okay, let's see." Kylee peered down at her notes, which basically contained a very rough timeline of the events as far as she could remember. If asked to do a report, she could definitely write a more detailed one up, but for this assignment, she figured that noting it down briefly would be easier.
1. Mission in the desert. High priority.
2. Black towers. Caelius said to locate Medea.
3. Strange rooms. Really strange rooms.
4. Colored doors.
5. Medea.
"After the part with the colored doors." She said. What was important was definitely the huge battle, after all. "When we all had to fight Medea... or I suppose, help her, depending on what state we were in." After all, she had seen what had happened to Lex.

Chel raised an eyebrow. s**t, was she being interrogated about her involvement with Shun? Crap. She had to keep that underwraps. Maybe she could skirt around it.
"What about it? I fought the queen pony overlord, same as you. Jack and Milo were a pretty great help. Make sure they get kudos." She put her chin in her hands and leaned forward. "Any specific questions you got?"

Kylee's brow furrowed slightly. That wasn't very helpful. She did quickly scribble down the two names mentioned though, just in case.
Well, this meant that she was going to have to be blunt.
"Who is Medea?" She asked quietly. "I mean, I know she's a threat. And a horseman, apparently. But I'm still confused about all this, it's like I'm being shoved into missions without any prior experience and knowledge, and the most I've been told is just a really quick brief on what we have to do."
Kylee sighed and leaned backwards slightly. She must have looked incredibly stupid. An interviewer was supposed to have all her information in check and ready to ask any sort of questions. Instead, she was just a floundering newbie.

"Medea's queen b***h pony drunk on power," she ticked off. Shun had informed her of that much. Apparently she hadn't always been bad? But whatever the hell she was in the battle was what she was now, so Chel was going to consider that her description.
She snorted as Kylee divulged in a small complaint. "Man, get used to it. You're gonna be thrown around like a leaf on the wind." That sounded so poetic. "You're gonna just have to make do with what ya got."
Still, she did feel a little bad for the newbie. "Don't worry 'bout it though. It gets easier with time. Ya get used to just followin' commands. What else ya wanna know?"

Kylee wasn't sure if she could put that particular string of words down on paper in her report.
Still, she did manage to write "queen b***h pony drunk on power", accompanied with parenthesis explaining that this was a quote from the interviewee; she was certainly not that... crude in describing Medea. Even if Chel was right.
"So it's pretty common, huh?" She murmured, tapping her pen on the side of her clipboard. She wasn't quite sure if she should be relieved that it wasn't her being completely oblivious, or to be worried that such a thing occurred way too often.
Well, next question, then. "To your knowledge, has Medea ever exhibited signs of... her ability to turn her enemies over to the side of the horsemen before this battle?"

Chel cracked a smile at Kylee's obvious discomfort. She wasn't sure WHAT she'd said to make the girl have a reaction, but Chel always smiled when people were uncomfortable with her, if only because she had no clue what else to do.
"Yeah dude. s**t like this goes down all the time. Makes me wonder how the ******** normal humans a'int figured it out yet." Seriously, they always destroyed chunks of Earth. How had nobody noticed???
She wiped her nose with her hand and then went back to slouching on the couch. "Not that I know of. I'm not big on horsemen though. Not really my area of expertise. I just know she can do it now, and that's what matters, y'know?"

Kylee shrugged. Before entering Deus Ex, she had no inkling that this had been such a big threat, or she had to go on were the shadows she had seen, and she had never imagined that it would be on a bigger level. "So we're like the Men In Black? For mythical creatures of the Earth, at least? I don't think we have those erase memory-nators... the neuralyzer right? There's gotta be a section here dedicated to crowd control." Maybe it was all very hush hush.
"Well, yes." She agreed with somberly. "But if she had just recently learned it, it means that her power is growing stronger. And that means she has the capacity to evolve further, and that would be an even pressing threat than it is now."

"Listen dude, I don't really care about if its waning or waxing, I just want it dead, you know? So you guys can do whatever sciencey math you want on it, while us suns actually get stuff done." It was said very matter of factly, as Chel didn't believe it was a rude thing to say. She knew she was stepping on some toes, but for Chel that was just the way life was. "Any other questions?"

While that was true, Kylee was still a new to all the tech the Hunters possessed. The tech back in the labs she was used to at college was nothing like the ones they had here. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before, and Kylee knew better than to poke around when she clearly did not know how it worked here.
For now.
"No." She said, shutting her book. "But if you do get any information about her, would you mind, well, giving me a note? A text? Um... No pressure, of course. We all have important things to do."chiickadee that's a wrap i think? I AM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LATE
