The Z.A.S.F. is a hidden research base located on off of the coast of Aramil. Recently the facility went completely dark, all contact and communication has gone unanswered. It is believed that the scientists here have begun experimenting with life, performing heinous and terrible acts of debauchery. Due to Kaminae's interference with ships coming in and out of Aramil no one has been able to fully investigate.

It was the dead of night, the moon wasn't even overhead. They had timed their approach to the facility with the phases of the moon. If there was a chance they could avoid detection then that was precisely what they wanted to do. Akeem was dressed in his usual battle ready attire. He had on a sleeveless vest that exposed his chest, really more of a decoration. His loose plants were black this time as opposed to the traditional colorful style he normally had. His most favored pair of shoes were worn as well. A golden band had been fastened over Akeem's upper arm, and it bore the sigil of their Emperor. He had taken to wearing it during his guard shifts and figured this was a moment that called for it. The Djinn was making his way down the cliff edge, listening to the water lap at the stone over and over. "Are you sure that boy will show up?" A soft voice asked from his side. This was Mina, one of Akeem's most trusted companions. She was an elf and served as the company's magical source and healer. Akeem trusted her with his life and had told her about the boy at the bar. He shrugged his shoulders and continued on, carefully placing his feet to avoid a tumble to his doom. "If he comes, then he comes. If not we go in short one person." There was a pause in his words that said all that needed to be said on that matter. That merely increased the pressure on the rest of them, but Akeem wouldn't talk about that. A gasp from Mina and the shuffling of rock had Akeem reaching out to steady her. He grasped her arm and that was enough to keep the elf from sliding down. She smiled at him and blushed, turning her head slightly in hopes of hiding it.

The rest of their descent was in general silence. They were too keyed up to want to talk about trivial matters. Already they were on alert, and the farther they got from the safety of the land the worse that feeling would get. A huge mass appeared from the shadows; Kevan the draconian. His purpose on the team was overall tank and protection of the others. He was a paladin and one of the best that Akeem knew. He trusted Kevan with his life as well. The draconian was in an oddly bitter mood, just like the rest of them. There was no jesting and jovial talks, merely a grunt and a nod to Akeem. The three of them finished the descent and ended up on a dock of sorts, a makeshift platform that had been rigged up just a few hours ago. It led out into the sea and at the end stood a human man with a mechanical arm. This was Russel, and his purpose was that of the mechanist. He saw to all of their technological needs. At first he had been one of the more reluctant members but he had recently shown just how brave and loyal he was. Akeem accepted a hand clap and a brotherly hug from him. A splash in the water revealed the team mascot, a handsome Mer named Doral. He stared up from under the water and winked at Mina, who bristled and moved to stand on the other side of Akeem. Doral was a fierce fighter and a clever halfling. He was always there when Akeem needed and acted as their guide and guard when in the water. Now all they had to do was wait for the boy.

Time became distroted, a rift torn asunder as Lysandre walked into the area. This was the place right? Sure at the bar they said they didn't truly want him there, but could he resist? HE was so bored with what he was doing here. This place was, Boring! He needed some excitement, and now he could go steal some papers or something? It was important, and he wanted it! Sure he wasn't going to screw this people over, but he was going to have fun with this. The void absorbed some time, and he smiled to himself, standing behind the one who had asked if he would show up. "I wonder sometimes if i'm there too you know?" Lysandre laughing lowly as he stood behind them all. They could do flips and be all cool, but he wasn't going to try and show off...That much. He noticed the others, they were the same from the bar, but there was another one. He was mechanical. "Aye, Lookit here! Do you have a hard time at airports?" Lysandre laughing to himself. He was already making a good impression on these people. "So then...What's the plan? Need bait? I can so cause a boom!" Lysandre smiling as he looked to the people infront of him. "I am new to all of this, but lets be fair, I can make things pop!" Lysandre spinning a little void of time around his fingers. They all seemed like a good rag tag team, but Lysandre was just here for the fun. "We looting everything, or just one thing?" Lysandre wanting to make sure what they were indeed here for. "My bad, you know...If you felt I took long to come here." Lysandre laughing again. "Ok, Ok, enough fo me. Are we gonna tell stories, or are we gonna rob...or take...What are we doing?" Lysandre laughing once more. He would wait, and they would tell him, and he would laugh and they would rob the place again. It didn't matter, it would be time soon.

ooc: Sorry I didn't post in the bar, Just didn't want to hold you up. Wanna post too o u o.

[Not a problem, I'm all for saving time]
[So you'll have control of Kevan, who's a Draconian Paladin. He's a big guy with a big heart, play him well]

Mina jumped at the sudden arrival of Lysandre, a small squeak of surprise escaping from her lips. Akeem turned quickly and nodded his head. It was a good show of spirit for a less experienced soldier to be so willing to go on a deadly mission. Russel gave the guy a queer look at the mention of airports as no one had any idea what that actually meant, but he realized the guy was talking about his arm. Feeling self conscious he turned away and started fiddling with something. Kevan actually cracked a smile and clapped Lysandre on the back much how he did to Akeem back at the bar. "You talk too much." The Djinn said off handedly as he motioned for people to walk with him towards the end of the dock. Russel stepped aside and revealed a porthole into something that was just below the surface of the water. It was a submarine. Each person began to climb in save for Doral, he would swim. As Akeem lowered himself into the opening he spoke to Lysandre and his team. "The ultimate goal is to secure a page. Secondly, we need to shut down the facility. We can't exactly destroy it without bringing a lot of attention to ourselves. I'd rather not risk Kaminae's wrath, not yet at least. You there, novice. What is your name? You'll be partnered with Kevan. I want you two to go through the facility and arrest anyone you see lurking around. If...if there are any experiments being run. Put an end to them." Akeem said with a tone of sadness to his voice. He knew very well that these scientists could have been experimented on living people. This was a purge of sorts, and not one Akeem was all too happy to be partaking in. Regardless, he had his orders and this was what had to happen. "Let me worry about the page. Mina and I will go together, Russel will guard the submarine." Akeem met all the eyes around him and nodded his head, ready to embark on this adventure.

Today was just going to be the best, wasn't it? he had already scared one of them, in which he winked too. "You ain't seen nothing yet" He whispered to Mina, a smile plastered across his face. He got a nod of approval from another one, his smile not fading yet. The one with the metal arm seemed a bit confused to his question, then hid his arm. Is that a yes? Am I in the wrong time? He thought, his smile only wider now. The man fiddled with something, not wanting to get into it about his arm.. Lysandre honestly wanted a metallic arm, and wasn't going to just let this go. "Hey, I always wanted to cheat death and time. You think when this is over, we can talk about getting me a fancy implant like that? I'll go steal something else with you" A small laugh, but a serious look on his face if the male turned back to him. He didn't expect a pat on the back or to be even acknowladged by any of them for his actions, but one of them actually patted his back. He thought for a moment, it was a warning, and that would screw this whole operation up. Lysandre was ready to alert the local media if the man had just hit him, but when he turned to the smiling male, he realized what had happened. "I like you. Why can't you guys be more like him? Lysandre looking to the one who said he talked too much. He would be sure to keep in with Lughead and maybe go on more adventures with him.

They began their walk, Lysandre and Big boy...What was his name? K...It began with K...Karver? Killroy? Kyclone? He would find out, he was sure of it. He looked to the porthole, a tad bit confused. A sub? Were they going below sea levels, or was it under sea levels? Kevan! His name is Kevan! Lysandre's eyes wide as he looked to the muscleman behind him. "Lysandre" God laughing to himself slightly. He could curse his parents for his real name, but he liked Lysandre. "Arrest? Can I just knock them out? Lock them in time? Freeze them? Come on? Arrest? They can just break out after" Lysandre sighing as he folded his hands, another time vortex spiraling out, time being sucked into his pocket watch. Then he heard something that made him smile. "Oh hey, I can defeat any experiments running around! I got this" Lysandre smiling as Kevan nodded a brash and brazen smile. "Shall we be off?" Kevan nodding, his smile large as he watched Akeem. Lysandre nodded with Kevan. Off they could go into the darkness of their mission. Tank and Dps, was that their position in this little group?

ooc: = . = Why do I take so long!>!!?!?!? Can you give me more of a rundown of Kevan? I get he's a dracgonian or whatever and a paladin, but link his profile please?

It was almost like this kid was running on an entirely different schedule than the rest of them. It was super early in the morning and most were heading into this mission with grim faces, but Lysandre seemed so full of energy and perkiness it was almsot disconcerting. Russel literally ignored him and focused on getting the sub to submerge. Kevan had seeled the hatch before settling down and chuckling at Lysandre. "It don't matter how you get it done, just make sure they won't be getting up any time soon." He said suggestively, raising a warhammer and tapping it against his leg while winking at Lysandre. Kevan enjoyed a good brawl and people usuaully stayed down once he got a good hit in. Mina reached under her seat and pulled out a box of radios, passing them around as Akeem cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Let's make this quick and clean." He said as he pushed the little bud into his ear and tapped the side of it. Kevan, Mina, and Russel all did the same thing, and it was clear that Lysandre should do the same. "I want updates every five minutes. Locations, whatever you see, anything." Akeem pulled out a map from behind his seat and pushed it open on the floor, pointing at the dock. He bumped his fist against the side and Russel called out a 'roger'. The sub lurched forward and off they were, Doral swimming merrily out in front of them to make sure everything was clear. "This is the meeting point, Russel will stay here and watch the sub. Kevan and Lysandre, you two will take the West Wing. Mina and I will go clear the East. Doral, can you hear me?" Akeem asked, waiting for a response. There was only an eery static coming back at him. He leaned forward and looked at Russel, who merely shrugged his shoulders. Up where he was sitting it was completely surrounded by reinforced glass, but he couldn't see the Mer.

Doral sudddenly shot right in front of the window and it was clear he was dicking around yet again. Russel jerked the sub to the side and shouted out of surprise before swearing in a quick string under his breath. Laughter piped in through the headsets and Doral was responding. "Haha, Doral was just having some fun!" Mina was rubbing the sides of her head with her slender fingers and Akeem merely shook his head. It was a weird dynamic they had between all of them, but it worked. "Alright then Doral, you'll be scouting beneath the facility. If anything catches sight of us let us know." The Djinn leaned forward and spoke in a very serious voice. He pointed at the radios while he spoke. "If you hear a warning from Doral, return to the sub immediately." If Kaminae wanted to kill them it'd be all too easy. Akeem would rather not have to fight off a giant squid or battle the Mer.

The rest of the sub ride was spent in silence. Akeem seemed to be meditating and Mina seemed to be watching him, occassionally glancing up from her obviously pointless fussing with the equipment at him. Kevan was humming a song to himself and polishing his shield. Doral kept up a constant stream of commentary through the radio, currently deep in a story about a Mer lady he had been wooing. "So there I was at the bar, half in my transformation to prove I was like her with my pants in one hand when-" His story was cut off by Russel, who's tone sounded like he was on the verge of happy tears. "We're finally here!" Akeem jumped up and made his way to the front, gazing at the screens all around the human. He was right, they were right in front of it. The captain made a motion for Russel to surface and returned to the back, now clearly excited. Everyone stood up when the sub surfaced right by the dock and set to work. Kevan opened the hatch and was the first through. He leaned down and offered a hand to Mina, practically carrying her right out. Akeem was next though the Djinn needed considerably less help. The draconian would offer a hand to Lysandre as well, and then Russel.

The facility was huge, comparable in size to an estate. There was a metal gate surrounding it, but it was clear that this place had not been tended to in quite a long time. Vegetation had taken much of it back and much of it was rusted. Akeem gave a sidelong glance to Russel and nodded his head, taking point and walking towards the gate. He gave it a push but a chain holding it together refused to give way so easily. The Djinn grabbed it in his hand and put a little Force into it, ripping it away with relative ease. Kevan harrumphed and leaned in towards Lysandre before huffing out a sentence under his breath. "I could've done that." The draconian didn't seem miffed by his lost chance at taking the entire fence down and he pushed forward with the group, hoisting his shield into a proper position as he looked around the place.

The group had to cross a courtyard before making it to the front doors, which of course were locked. Akeem took stance to kick the doors down but Kevan pushed to the front, insisting he handle this. "Ya never know what's on the other side. Could be trapped." Mina pursed her lips in an attempt to suppress laughter and Akeem bowed dramatically as he stepped to the side, knowing the big guy just wanted to show his strength. Kevan rolled his shoulders once and literally just rammed the doors with his shoulders. They exploded inward and due to the strength of the hinges swung around and slammed against the walls. Kevan had raised his shield in defense but nothing came out. With a single hand motion the group moved forward. The reception room was small, with two doors going either left or right. To the right was a sign that read 'Human Trials', though it was in elvish. Mina's brow furrowed and she gave Akeem a worried look. That's where they were headed. Kevan and Lysandre would be headed to 'Animal Trials'. The Djinn clapped his fist over his heart in a salute to Kevan before turning away and heading to his own hallway, Mina following close behind.

He was unlike them in every way. They were so focused and uptight, but Lysandre was so free and ADHD. He was like time, no matter how much you couldn't control it. He was below the pay-grade, but he was going to make so much from this. They all looked like they could die, or this was their last hurrah together. So fickle He thought as he looked to them, looked to their fear. Just as magic was to humanity, fear was an illusion to Lysandre. One said nothing to him, not like Lysandre wanted to talk with him anymore. He wouldn't help him get that mechanical arm huh? "I'm serious about that arm. I'll help you steal even more if you can turn something of mine mechanical" A soft whisper as Lysandre walked past Russel, not caring to the fact that he didn't want to talk to him. He wanted an arm that could work like his pocket watch. He wanted to have all the time in the world, and he would find a way to do it! The big one had closed the hatch, speaking words of encouragement. "I feel you Kevan. You knock them down with that, and i'll cut them up with this!" A pocket watch spinning in hand. He had been carrying it, so it wasn't like they wouldn't notice. He did like that hammer though. It looked like it just put people down in one hit...He would make sure not to be on the other end of it.

He took one of the radio's as it was passed to him, looking over it oddly. Really? A look of confusion on his face. He knew what this was, he just thought a mental link or something would of been better. Radio's? Someone could just simply short them out...Oh well, he would have to make sure his location was known and whatnot. Lysandre put the bud in his ear, nodding to Kevan who did the same. He wasn't a fool, he just did foolish things, this event was one of them. He wondered how his feline friend was doing...If he could call them friends. Was he out getting milk and such? He would return to the bar and find out, if he was there once more."Five minutes. Sure. Got it! Lysandre looking to the open map. His eyes scanned rapidly, looking over the map in moments. They had the west wing? His eyes made sure to triple scan that area and everything on the map. "Got it... He muttered, plans of attacks rushing through his head. Lysandre did get a kick out of the fishes joke, making it seem like he had been caught up in something, only to pop up and make the ship swirl. "I like him too" Lysandre pointing and laughing with Kevan.

They were a silent bunch, and Lysandre wasn't about that. He didn't like it, observing them as they traveled through the deadly waters. One was meditating, and the other watched him. Was she into him? Kevan polished and sung to himself, Lysandre not disturbing him. He felt he shouldn't, only because he looked so happy. He liked the story the fish gave her, exclaiming: "And I wanted to know where the scales met the fins!" Once they arrived. Lysandre took Kevan's hand as he was lead up, looking to the facility. Time opened up once more, unseen, unnoticed as he examined the area, sucking in time. He watched them break the gate apart, nodding to Kevan. "I know you could buddy, I now" patting the large mans back as they walked. They reached another door, Kevan taking stage this time. He wanted to show off, but Lysandre liked that. He could somewhat read what it said, somewhat. He just kind of passed it off, they were going to face something in there anyway. "Ok then..." Lysandre looking to Kevan with a smile. "Do you want to go first? It's a door, you get to smash this one too" Lysandre still smiling. He would be the tank, and Lysandre would be DPS. They walked through, or more Kevan pushed through. They were off...

[Pick two B-rank Codex monsters and have at them]
Lysandre and Kevan would immediately be hit with one of the most unbearable smells; that of death itself. Just past the doors they had went through there were signs of mayhem everywhere. Tiles were broken on the floor and parts of the walls looked to be crushed in. The next set of doors had been completely ripped off its hinges. If they chose to continue there would be a large circular room before them, though it would be very hard to tell due to the number of tanks sticking out of the ground. The tanks ranged in sizes to something that could fit a fish to as large as it would need to be to encase a full sized dragon. Some of the tanks were too murky to see into and others had holes marking escapes. Dried blood trails were everywhere, weaving in and out of tanks. Every now and then they'd find a limb or two, though not the body they came from. Once they passed the middle of the labryinth of tanks, it would be clear that something was watching them.

Mina was having a very strong urge to turn away from the scene before them, but she did not dare to. Akeem had not said a word from the moment he realized what he was looking at. Just past their double set of doors a massacre had taken place. Piles and piles of half mutilated bodies were carelessly thrown together. The worst part of this was that they were children. The elf moved forward to try and take the lead but the Djinn's arm shot out and stopped her. One of the piles was moving, something had begun to writhe beneath the tangle of dead. A sick feeling passed through Akeem and Mina raised her hand, a solemn look passing over her face. This was the Human Trials Wing, there was no telling what they would face. A ghastly moan sent shivers down Akeem's spine and had him sliding one foot back, entering a battle ready stance. Bodies fell away from the pile and a lone humanoid creature arose. "Solonor, Justor..." Mina said in just above a whisper. The creature stumbled over the others and fell to the floor with a revolting plop. Something metal clanged against the floor. Akeem took a step forward to put himself in front of Mina. The creature's head suddenly rolled about on its neck and turned to face the two. It had no eyes, only a gaping hole where its mouth should be, and no features. But it seemed to be looking right at him. With a sudden and eery grace it rose to its feet, mirroring Akeem's stance. Once it came into the light it was clear to see that in place of hands there were serated blades attached to the forearms. This abomination was meant to be used as a weapon. The humanoid was taller than Akeem and thinner. Watching it take his stance angered Akeem for some reason. He would not wait for what inevitably came next. The leader of this expedition launched forward with the speed of a berzerker, pushing off of the floor and twisting his body. His leg came shooting around and connected with the humanoid's head, spinning it around and forcing it to push out at an awkward angle. Akeem landed on his hands and pushed away in a flip, once more entering a ready position. The creature did not move an inch from his assault. It took a moment but it's head just easily snapped back into place, and then it launched itself at Akeem.
