Sun rise was Paricheher's favorite time of the day. The golden sunlight changed the dark sky making it look lavender some days, other days it looked pink, and still other days it changed the sky to a lovely orange. Truly it was the best time to go out and enjoy life. Not that Pari wandered far from back lands. Only out here to the Borders, maybe just a bit beyond.
She climbed up onto a good sized rock and layed out, facing east, preparing to watch the breaking of day's first ray of light. If she had more time, Pari would have liked to learn how to capture the moment on rocks or mats or something. To paint it in someway shape or form. Alas, time was never really in such quanity to allow Pari the leisure to paint the moment. Not when she had hunting to do, or family obligations, or pride events, or whatever always seemed to get in the way. Pari enjoyed the things that got in the way, but still, she truly did want some time to learn just how to capture the moment.
Pari imagined using her tail fluff as a brush and her claws for small and thin lines and details. But how did one make paint? Where did all the colors come from? How would she find or make the perfect color of hot pink fading into lavender as the sun rose and the darkness fled west?

Ajani, Caelius thought as he traveled in the morning light. His father's name was Ajani. That was it. The only information he knew about his father. When he started his adventure, he knew it would be a difficult journey. But he wish he had thought it threw a tad bit more. His whole life he had questioned who his father was. It was only till recently that it really started to bother him. His father never even bothered looking for them. Didn't he care that he had sons and daughters? He just really wanted to meet his father and try and understand why he never tried to seek them out. As he walked, he briefly caught the sent of another. His pace sped up. 'Finally someone else!' he thought, looking around eagerly. He missed the company of his family. His trip so far was filled with loneliness and he hated that. Taking a break would do him good, he thought. He could see a hint of color on the rocks and he gave a sigh of relief. “Hey there!” Caelius yelled out, his tail flicking back and forth with excitement as he made his way over to her.

It was a good thing Pari was both awake and completely calm. Otherwise she would have fallen off her rock. And that would have been embarrassing. What kind of huntress falls off rocks?
... She did.
As she stood up to get a better look at the white male making his way toward her, Pari lost her balance and fell. And she didn't fall gracefully either. Oh, no, not her. Her limbs flailed all over the place and continued to flail when she landed on her back, limbs up.
She much have looked like a giant turtle struggling to right itself when on its shell.
The mental image of her as a turtle flashed in front of her eyes and Pari bit her lip to keep from laughing. Or maybe crying. She couldn't tell at this point in time.
"Hello," Pari called back in a weird voice as she tried to swallow whatever was bubbling up towards her limbs, tears or giggles.
Well at least this angle gave her a new perceptive of the sky and it's fading colors. Maybe she should try this position on purpose some time.

When he saw her fall, he jolted forward. “Are you alright?” He asked quickly as he panted from the run. His ears flattened back. He was terrified that he might have scared her and that was why she fell. That would be a terrible way to start his adventure. “Do you need help?” He asked with guilt in his voice. “I am no healer, but I might be able to find one if you need me too.” He laid next to her to get a better view of her. “I'm sorry if I scared you. That was not my intent.” He could never intentionally hurt another feline. It was just not in his nature.

Pari finally rolled over onto her side and faced the anxious male. He was sweet, rushing over to tend to her. "No worries, no worries. I was lost the colors of the sunrise and should have been paying better attention. Thank you. I'm okay. Just a bit clumsy in the morning that's all apparently." And it served her right for thinking negatively of any hunter or huntress that would fall off rocks when their attention was else where. Karma, karma.
Pari had a big smile on her face as she looked at him, willing him to join her good cheer. "Did you see how much like a turtle laying on its shell I looked?" Pari laughed wholeheartedly at herself, reliving it in her head with a large turtle next to her this time.
"I'm Pari, by the by."

Caelius gave a sigh of relief, grateful that she didn't get hurt. He looked up at the sky and noticed the colors. “It does have lovely colors.” He noted. Honestly, he could have traveled with a beautiful sky above for hours, and he wouldn't be the wiser. He wasn't always the most observant hybrid. “I can see how you can get distracted by its beauty.” As she talked about how she looked like a fallen turtle, he couldn't help but imagine a lion with a turtle shell. He laughed along with her. “Nice to meet you Pari. My name is Caelius.” He said with a bow of his head. “Are you from around here? I'm a traveler and I haven't been in this area before.” He really had no idea where he was going. His plan was to travel and find someone who had heard of his father. Reality was that there was probably many Ajani's in these lands. However he would find his father. He just had to.

R4gn0r0k IV I'm sorry for being such a fail! I would like these two to have a fling if you're interested ... and I can get Pari's rp count up .... redface "Caelius is a nice name. I don't know any Caeliuses at all. Pity. Well except for now. Now I know one." Pari smiled and nodded dividing her attention between the colors and the male. Both were pretty in her opinion and deserved a bit of her attention. And soon the colors would fade to a true blue sky so it only seemed fair to her to allow each equal shares at the moment. She nodded at the male. "Yeah. We are currently in the pridelands. Well the edges of them anyway. I don't think you would get too far without bumping into a hunter or soldier. Which you kind of did considering I'm a huntress for the pride."
As the early morning sky stabilized to blue with a scattering of clouds here and there, Pari focused completely on the cute and sweet male spending some time with her. She'd catch up with the clouds later. "Welcome to my - our home. Are you thinking of settling? Because it is very nice here, but it might be kind of boring for a traveler that hasn't even been in this area before. Well except for the hyenas that we sometimes have issues with. But that's why we have soldiers, you know?" Pari stretched out, content to remain her until she had to move for some reason or another. Hopefully, the male would continue to be good company with her. There were so many ways to enjoy the day and life with a companion. Pari started to think about all the ways as she asked, "What brings you to our lands?"

“I have never met a Pari before today.” Caelius said with a grin. He was thankful to run into someone who was kind and nonthreatening. He took a moment to look around. The pridelands. At least now he knew where he was. Maybe this was the path to find his father? “It is a very nice place.” He noted as he brought his attention back to Pari. “I would be interested in spending a night or two, but I’m afraid that I wouldn’t be able to stay any longer. As much as I would like to settle down, it isn’t really an option for me right now.” The thought of hyena’s sent a shiver down his spine. He had heard stories of the savage beast, though he heard similar tales of other animals, even lions attacking for no reason other than to kill. “Do the hyenas ever get this close to the pride? I would think they would be terrified to deal with lions.” Dame NightFury Woot! Still interested <3 I'll get Caelius' count up as well!

Pari rolled onto her side to better see and face Caelius. She shook her head. “No. I mean unless we go to war with a relatively close pack, then they’ll be very aggressive in groups, raiding beyond here.” Pari squinted trying to remember anything that was said or that she remembered about the last time that had happened, but … “I can’t remember that happening, so it probably happened when I wasn’t even born yet or was still a cub and insulated away from things like that.” Paricherher shrugged as she stopped trying to remember. “Even hyenas need to eat and droughts, famine and other natural occurrences make beasts do desperate things. Even pride, pack, or herd has young to feed. I don’t think they’re all that bad, but their pack and my pride are the big predators and so are in competition for resources.” Pari didn’t really want to harp on the harsh realities of life, but she understood them and accepted them when they happened. They weren’t happening right now. “I’m sure you’ll meet some very nice hyenas on your travel. A few beautiful ones, in their canine way. Smart ones. I wonder if I’ll see one. Maybe I could draw one from a distance.” Pari let herself think and plot that particular art piece out. She might have to shelf that for a long time, but it could be a bucket list thing. A long term goal to achieve. Maybe. And if it didn’t all well. “You’re more than welcome to stay with me while you’re here then. I have a small private den not too far from my family. It’s too small for anyone else, but I spend most of my time, even night time, outside and looking at nature’s art, so it’s fine for me.” Pari invited with a smile as she appreciated the up-close view of one of nature’s master pieces right here. Life was amazing like that.

Caelius took her words into consideration. Since he had never actually met a hyena he was only going off what others had told him. However, she did make sense. He knew there were lions and other felines who hated hybrids for no other reason other than he wasn’t a pure breed. It was very upsetting to him of course, but he always shrugged it off and went on his way. “If I ever meet a hyena during my travels, I will be sure to keep an open mind.” He gave her a huge grin. “Thank you so much, that is very kind of you.” He said feeling incredible blessed. “I promise not to be a pest while I stay.” He wondered what the pride would be like. Part of him was excited about the experience, but he also was worried that he would stick out like, well like a hybrid amongst lions. His worriedness showed on his face. Taking a deep breath in, he looked at Pari and felt a little bit better. At least he would have one friend during his stay, he thought. “I was wondering if it wasn’t too much trouble maybe you could show me around your pride?” He asked. If he traveled with a member of the pride, he thought that maybe he wouldn’t have as much attention drawn to him.
