There were no words. Not when he heard the news that the Mara had dared to come close to the caves, seeking him, perhaps? He couldn't say for certain what it was that had brought them so close but one of the Khehora that was on watch had come back in a hurry, telling his mother about it, and she'd called for him. She only had to tell him what was up and he was on his way out, checking in quickly on Tallulah and the little whelp, before he left the caves and took ot the air, looking to find the Mara that dared to get this close to his family. The idea that they were so daring, or perhaps stupid, enraged the Diabi a bit. Didn't those stupid beasts know who they were dealing with?! Well, he supposed not. He hadn't made enough of a mess, he hadn't killed enough to them. Maybe he just had to do just that? He had to tear through their ranks to prove to them that he wasn't one that they should be pursueing, nor should they dare to come near to what was near and dear to him.

The problem of course being that if they decided to give up the chase as far as Eyphah was concerned that they might very well go after other, smaller, weaker prey such as other little whelps like Nehelini. They had gone after the boy once which meant that they weren't against hunting the young. It was one of those things that rather annoyed him, made him want to take them by the necks and shake them... not that any of them had necks persay but he still meant to shake them apart! Yes, that was what he'd do. He would take the Mara apart piece by piece, let them understand better that he wasn't in the mood for whatever game that they were playing, and then they might just understand that they shouldn't be messing with him. That thought in mind he took a running start across the sands before taking to the air, his great wings flapping, taking him up high.

From his sky high vantage point he would be able to see the Mara long before they would see him, it would give him the advantage, something that he always liked to have when entering a fight. It didn't take him all that long to find his prey either, that prey being a group of the Rock Mara, five in total, marching toward where he had been moments ago. He set to circling around them, taking in their positions at the moment. Two in the front row, three in the back row, all armed with those big hammers and their pathetic excuse for armor. How they thought that they were going to be able to protect himself with that was beyond him. Of course he highly doubted that they were anything more then the grunts of the Mara army. It was those ones, then the knightly Metal Mara, followed by those annoying spell slingers, the Mage Mara. That was their pecking order though he would bet his left eye that they had a leader somewhere. The problem being that he didn't know what the enemy leader might look like. All he knew was that the guy or girl, if elementals had genders, had to be out there somewhere commanding the troops. The ones he'd met so far didn't seem smart enough to lead themselves after all.

His circling continued, though he was slowly but surely starting to go lower and lower, actually wanting for them to notice him or his shadow, whichever came first. Let them be distracted by him, let them turn toward him and away from where they were headed. He wouldn't let them lay a finger on anyone in his clan, the little whelps especially. Just the idea of it was enough to make the Diabi's mood that much more stormy as his circling continued... and finally one of the Mara seemed to notice, falling behind the others, and looked up at him. The moment that it did so, the moment that it was separated in that manner from its group, Eyphah acted. Closing his wings against his back, diving down, and then slammed the Mara down to the ground, roaring in its face, "You dare much, Filth!" He spat out at the rock bodied creature before he grabbed hold of it's head, ripping it off the body, and threw it aside a good distance. He then turned around the face the rest of them, teeth barred, "You want to go a round with me, Mara?! Well then, let's go!"

The group of Mara seemed to all turn to face Eyphah in sync, starring at him for but a moment before they came charging his way... and one of them was met with the body of its ally. The sound of the two large, metal clad, rock bodied creatures colliding was quite loud and it caused the second one to go down. It wasn't dead, Eyphah knew that straight away when it's soul didn't flee from its body. He would deal with it later, for the moment he had three others that were still standing, so to speak, that he had to deal with. He gave a growl as he charged forward toward the closest one, and once he was right in front of it he he jumped, giving a flap of his wings so that he could land behind it and then once there he lifted up on his back legs, and used the front ones and his jaws to grab hold of the Mara's arms and head. Once he had a good hold his tail snapped forward, using the scythe at the end of it to strike the Mara in its joints. The elbows first, causing the bottoms of its arms to pop off, then at the shoulders, riding it of its arms completely, before his forefeet slid forward to grab hold of it's head, ripping it off. The head was tossed aside, he needed it after all, and the body was allowed to fall.

It hadn't even had a chance to land before he was onto the next one, slamming one of them into the other, both of them hitting the ground one on top of the other. Once they were there he got a good hold of the Rock Mara on top and set to bashing it into the one on the bottom. It was made of good, hard hits, that knocked both of the Rock Mara apart piece by piece. It really did take all that long before the two of them were covered in cracks, broken up, and it made it all too easy for the big Diabi to take their heads off. Those two heads were grabbed up and tossed over to where the others had been thrown to. A small pile but it would grow by one soon enough he though to himself as he turned to look over toward where he'd left the other Rock Mara, pinned by the first one he'd taken out... only to find that it was no longer there.

Wait second? Had the Mara run off? He gave a growling sound under his breath, most displeased with this turn of events. He glanced toward his pile of heads, making sure that they were where he'd left them, "I will be back for the lot of you, wait for me." He told them, taking a running start the Diabi took to the sky, and flew up into the sky. He didn't like the idea that some Mara meant to try to escape from its punishment. He was going to find it, was going to beat it, and he was going to show those Mara how serious he was! He wasn't about to stand by and just let some weakling Mara show him up! He was going to show them that they were nothing to him but a nuisance that he would squash in the same way that one might do to an insect.

His dark pink, glowing eyes flicked from side to side, searching the sand for the missing Mara. Much to his delight though it would seem as though it hadn't gone on ahead to where the caves were. Instead it decided that it was best to fall back, as well as to find allies. He couldn't help but to grin a bit when he saw that. Not only was the Mara running away but it was looking help, huh? He could see another two Mara joining it. Instead of going after them though he decided that the fun thing to do would be to circle overhead. He wanted to know what they would do if they knew that he was stalking them after he had taken out four of their compatriots in as brutal manner as he could figure to do. He would do all he could to intimidate them... well, that or get them to lead him to where more of their friends were hiding out. The more the merrier he thought to himself, grinning as he followed the Mara from up on high.

Eyphah took himself a bit higher in the sky after following the trio of Rock Mara for a while, curious as to where it was that they were heading. Much to his surprise, and to be honest his delight, he was able to see a dark shadow indicating more of their numbers off in the distance. So they were going to go get the aid of more of their kind, were they? It was something that pleased him in a way, it meant that there were more of the Mara out there, maybe of different varieties, out there waiting for him. Well, maybe not for him yet, it wouldn't be for just him until the three below him made it to where they were. He gave a bit of a grin, teeth barred, as he dove down toward the trio of them. Now that he knew where it was that they were headed and what they were trying to do there really was no reason for him to leave them alive any longer. Now was the time to end them.

As he dove down toward the trio of Rock Mara he went for the one that had escaped him first. He didn't like it when his prey ran away, he also didn't like it when they thought that they could get away from him so that they could go and get help. The coward! It should have stood and fought with the other ones that he had killed. It hadn't though, it just ran off, something that Eyphah would never do himself. He was more the sort that would stand and fight, protecting his own. His forefeet reached out, claws out, and he grabbed hold of the Mara, dragging it along with him up into the sky. The creature set to struggling, arms flailing, weapon swinging... and Eyphah grabbed hold of the haft of the weapon, "Watch that thing, idiot." He hissed around it, tearing it out of the Mara's hands, and let it drop. Much to his delight it fell down out of the sky and bounced off the shoulder of one of the other two, knocking its arm off. Good, that would make things all that more easier when he finally went down there to deal with the two that were waiting for him.

A dark chuckle escaped from Eyphah's throat as he released his hold on the Mara, letting it fall a distance, before he swooped down and grabbed hold of it again. This time though, instead of letting it go he instead dropped toward the ground, gaining momentum, and released only when he was almost on top of the two and used one to barrel into the other one, effectively shattering the one of the two. The other one was left reeling and as such he saw no reason to go back to it, not yet at least. He wouldn't let this one get away though, not like it got away from him the last time. He would destroy it before it got away, first though he had to deal with the one that was in better shape.

Eyphah came to land in front of the other Mara, whirling around to face the last one that was left, and gave a snarling sound, teeth barred at it, "Hello there, little Mara, I think its time that we end this little run around, don't you?" He said, walking toward it, tail swishing as he moved toward it. The Mara floated back, just a touch, before charging at him. It was minor hesitation but enough to please Eyphah who waited for the thing to charge him, waiting until it got close enough... then he dodged out of the way of the charge before his tail snapped forward, stabbing it into the creature's shoulder to knock it's arm off. He then lunged grabbing hold of its weapon, ripping it out of its grasp, and tackled it to the ground.

"Time to finish this." He growled, grabbing hold of its head with his clawed forefeet, tearing it off, and gave it a toss to the side. Once that was done it turned to look at the cracked up, 'injured' Mara, chuckling a bit as he saw it. It wasn't looking so hot, meaning that he could end it easily enough. Once this final one was dead... well, he'd go and fight with some more of them. There seemed to be plenty of them on hand for him to enjoy himself with. He wanted to wipe out as many as he could, as many as he needed to deal with to make sure that the members of his clan and little whelps like Nehelini were all safe from them.

Pushing off the ground with his wings he gave a great lunge at the Mara, slamming it to the ground, and due to all the cracks that covered it the thing crumbled under Eyphah's weight... and instantly its soul, as with all of the others, flew off and away from him. He watched it go toward where all of the other Mara had gathered before Eyphah gave a shrug. He would deal with them soon enough, first he had to bring the three heads he had here and bring them back to the pile that he had started a ways back. He should try to keep them all in one place so that when it came time to turn them in for that bounty that nobody would be able to deny them what was his. He'd done the work and would continue on with the hunt until he was able to wipe them out completely.

After the three heads that he got from his smaller scuffle with the Rock Mara were brought to where the other four were located, all of them gathered into a neat pile, Eyphah then went to seek out a member of his clan. There was a Kiandri Khehora that was patrolling nearby, that was able to find and it was her that he chatted up with. He wasn't sure when he would be getting back around to where he'd left the Mara heads but he didn't want them to be swallowed up the the desert sands. As such he put the Kiandri in charge of bringing them back to the caves, putting them with the others. Soon he'd see about bringing them to Rhazes or Anodyne, whichever one was easier to find. He just couldn't do it yet. The first thing he had to do was collect more heads, after that he would need to head to the settlement of the two-legs to steal a blanket, and then he'd use that to carry the heads. He'd worry about all of that later though, for now he had far more important things to do, he had to take care of more Mara. There were so many of them out there, just waiting to be killed and have their heads collected, he couldn't keep them waiting.

It was where he was heading to at the moment, flying back in the direction that he had gone when he was following that trio of Rock Mara. He had seen the shadow that was a bigger group of Mara, and he knew full well that he would need to go about this carefully if he meant to wipe them out. He knew that it was possible that the ones he was going to meet wouldn't be all Rock Mara. There was in fact a good chance that Metal Mara and the even more annoying Mage Mara. He wasn't one that could really wield magic himself. Since he'd become Khehorian he had kept telling himself that he would get it figured out but he'd still yet to do so. He was rather pleased and comfortable with what he was able to accomplish with his physical abilities so magic was a complete necessity. Would there be those who would mock him though just because he couldn't cast spell himself? He couldn't say but he wouldn't allow it, if anyone tried to mock him then he would just have to show them what for. Who needed magic? Well, him maybe, but not to use but to have used on him. Tallulah had been quite helpful with his magic many times. He'd leave such things to the Peisio Healer.

Flapping his wings he moved up higher into the air, able to get a better glance at what was going down below now that he was nearer to where the dark shadow had been located. Now that he looked around he noticed that it was as though the shadow was broken up, wasn't it? So the bigger group was now multiple smaller groups, wasn't it? Well that was both good and bad. It was good because he would only have smaller groups to deal with of Mara. Multiple groups, sure, but smaller groups. He was more then happy to take them on bit by bit, to make sure that the shadow of Mara he'd seen were all his. He didn't want to share then kills with anyone outside of his clan, only Tallulah and maybe the little whelp if he was brave enough to come along with him. Who knew though, he wasn't sure how brave the little thing might be. He seemed more the sort that might cling to Tallulah or hide behind the Peisio instead of battling with the creatures that were skulking about the desert these days. He'd given him a chance though, were he to ask for one. Well, that and if Tallulah allowed it. He seemed to rather like the like the little whelp. It made him wonder if Tallulah might want a nest of his own one day.

Shaking his head he set to looking around between the smaller groups of Mara, deciding on which one of them he wanted to go and deal with first. It would likely be best for him to go after the one that seemed as though it were the most likely to go toward the caves. After all of the hard work that he had done thus far he couldn't risk that going to waste because he missed something. After some careful study from his sky high vantage point he finally nodded. Alright, he saw the ones that he would need to go after he thought to himself as he flapped his way toward then, making slow, descending circles as he went. He wanted to get a better look at what he was dealing with before he dove down into the fray unprepared. Once he was low enough that he could see what he was dealing with he gave a little grunt, "Of course." He muttered to himself, not feeling at all surprised with what he saw there below him. It was a group of six, count them six, of the Mage Mara. They were really his least favorite of all of the Mara that he had dealt with thus far and that was why he wasn't at all surprised that he had run into so many of them.

Instead of crashing down into him like he'd done with the Rock Mara, which were far stupider and slower, he would need to be more cautious. Yet another reason why he so hated magic wielders. He didn't want to plot things out in depth, he instead enjoy really getting into the thick of things, tearing creatures apart, and otherwise enjoying what it meant to battle things in his own specific way. With the Mage Mara he was unable to do that, which would make this a lot more slow going then he cared for. It was a battle like this where he'd like to have Tallulah along to help with counter spells, healing, and the like. Giving a grumbling sound his circling continued, taking in the position of his prey. There were six of them, two rows of three, marching neatly. It would make them that much more annoying he thought to himself. Still, he wasn't about to back down to this. He wanted to help the Rhazes and Anodyne, mostly the former, to defeat the Mara, which meant not backing down from any fight... not that he ever had before save for one and that was because it was retreat or death. He wouldn't let some worthless, bloodless Mara defeat him magical powers or not.

His circles soon became tighter, until he was finally diving down at top speed. Unlike with the Rock Mara that he had been trying to intimidate these ones he wanted to catch off guard. Not to mention he wanted to keep ahead of them best that he could. As such after diving he grabbed hold of one of them and took to the sky again. As he went a few of them sent some spells his way, those of metal and earth, but he used the one he was holding in his forefeet as a shield, letting it take all of the beating. Once he was up high enough that their spells were starting to go a little astray he set to work taking the Mage Mara apart by kicking it with his back feet and tearing into it with his tail. The thing started to come apart piece by piece, those pieces falling down to the ground far below. This was the way to do this, taking them on one by one, far up in the air where the distance made it that much harder to hit him. Once he had torn up the one in his grasp to the point where it was pretty well nothing more then a bit of rocky torso and a head... and he finished up by popped off its head and let the rest fall to the ground.

Circling around a few times more he dove again, dropping the head when he was closer to the sand and grabbed up another of the Mage Mara, repeating the process once more. It seemed that it would be one of those 'rinse and repeat' sorts of battles. Not the most amusing of battles but at least it would get the job done, right? The last thing he wanted to do was risk himself because he got rushed, no, as much as he hated the long, tactical, and boring sorts of battles he felt that being overly cautious right now would allow him to in turn take on more groups of Mara later. If he let the spell casters blitz him with magic then he was pretty much out of luck. As such he was forcing himself to take it slowly but surely even if each dive and grab was getting progressively more and more boring as he went. Hell, between fighting Mage Mara number two and Mage Mara number three he actually yawned a little bit. Not something that he would let others know about, unless of course he put it as 'the battle was so easy, so dull, that I couldn't help but to yawn' as that felt like it was the truth at the moment.

A few Mage Mara, and a lot of spell dodging later, Eyphah had the fifth one out of the six in his claws, and he was heading up higher and higher with it into the sky. It was as he was tearing into it that he noticed that the sixth one was retreating. He gave a bit of a grunt, as he hurried the process along by going for the head on this one first, yanking it off, and dropped the body. Holding the head in his claws he watched the one that was retreating, "As if I will allow that to happen again." He snarled at the retreating Mage Mara. Diving down he dropped the fifth head into his pile before he landed, racing along the hot sand, teeth barred. He would catch up with this one and he would finish it off quickly. He would show the thing why one didn't flee from him thinking that they would get away from him. No enemy would escape his sights once he'd laid eyes on it!

The way that the ground between himself and the Mage Mara was starting to close rather quickly he couldn't help but to purr to himself in a rather gleeful manner. These Mara, even with this sect of them being rather annoying, were fairly good sport. It was a shame that they lacked blood but he did enjoy battling with them. He would bring back many, many heads to the Khehorian leaders and prove to him that he was the best amongst them.

The ground between himself and the Mage Mara was eaten up rather quickly. It was something that had his heard thumping in his chest in a rather delighted manner and as he got close enough he couldn't help but to give a pouncing lunge, landing on top of the Mage Mara, and instantly the battle between them began... and in a surprisingly impressive manner as well. The Mage Mara cast a spell and suddenly the ground erupted under them, pillars throwing the two of them up into the air. It hurt a bit, the rocks striking against his flesh, leaving behind bruises that would probably bug him later. If they got too annoying he could always ask Tallulah to fix them even if it was probably a misuse of the Peisio's magical powers. Tallulah took good care of him though, something that he appreciated since he lacked his own healing powers.

With that thought in mind he gave a rapid flap of his wings to right himself, able to do so before hitting the ground, landing on his feet just barely. He shook his head, tail lashing behind him, before he lunged forward again, not about to let up on the creature. Instead he grabbed hold of it's wrist and swung it around, lifting one back leg to kick out, and was able to pop the creature's arm off of the rest of it. The arm was quickly tossed aside before he was once more attacking. He got close, almost getting hold of the other arm, when another spell caused a wall of sand to rise up between them. A hiss escaped from Eyphah as he was forced to go around the wall, tail lashing out to stick into the creature's chest before he dragged it closer, "You shouldn't make this any harder for yourself, just resign yourself to the fact that I am superior to you, Mara!" He snarled, lifting up onto his back legs, grabbing hold of the Mage Mara's head. The creature lifted it's arm up, putting it on the top of its head to attempt to keep him from removing it. It made the struggle last a few moments longer then Eyphah would have like but finally, after what felt like an eternity, he took the sixth head as his own.

Its soul fled but Eyphah could care less. He'd done what he set out to do with this particular group, he'd beat all of them! Snarling in delight he trotted over to his pile of heads, looking them over in delight, "You are all going home with me. I will drop you off, get a drink and a snack, then back to battle." He said, grabbing one head in his mouth, speared one with his tail, and then grabbed one with each foot. Once he was fully loaded up he took to the air, flying toward home. He had made quite a dent in their numbers he felt, something that was more then worth celebrating. Later, of course, he had more Mara to massacre.
