yayoi Text to Zascha: Report to Lab 3B06 by 7am sharp. yin-bug Text to Harlow: Report to Lab 3B06 by 7am sharp. If Harlow or Zascha wanted to receive any more information, they wouldn't. Any texts sent would automatically be ignored, not even getting a "read" status.
Once at the lab, they would find Ami tapping her foot outside the door, looking relatively annoyed at a clipboard. Even though it was 7 in the morning, she looked as perfect as though it was 3 in the afternoon. Most likely because she hadn't slept the night before. Go figure.

It was early, perhaps a bit too early, when the text had come through on his phone. Zascha had fallen out of bed, lain on the floor for a few minutes before grabbing for his phone. Wrestling with the damn things interface to open the text before finally the phone gods were nice and he hit some magic button. The text was short. And if the person expected a reply well they were kind of s**t out of luck. He had spent a good five minutes wrestling to get out of a tangled up sheet, slipping on his uniform and shuffling out towards the Labs as instructed. The lady who was waiting there seemed particularly disgruntled but that seemed to be the norm he had found. So he assumed this was the correct place to be.

As the faint buzzing noise enter her dreams she awoke with a groan.
She could tell it was extremely early, she could just feel it. There was no window for light to enter through but even if it could she knew there wouldn't be much. She pulled herself together as quickly as she could. Short notice was something that was something that she was starting to understand was common here. She finished brushing her teeth and pulled up her boots and then began to head toward the lab.
She came around the corner, it was almost exactly 7. Harlow was normally on point for everything she did. She was hoping that this wasn't one of those "Early is on time" people. She looked up as she turned and was surprised to see Zascha there as well. Her eyes then fell to the woman who looked all too grumpy. "Hello!" she greeted as she approached the two.

Ami looked at the two who had arrived with a disappointed sneer on her face. They would have to do, she supposed.
"We're going to skip pleasantries because it is inefficient. I am Ami, this is Zascha and that is Harlow," she said, gesturing to each of them. Introductions were always so wasteful.
She moved to open the lab door, swiping it with the keycard around her neck. "This way." If they followed or not, Ami was unaware. She merely moved into the labspace and expected them to follow.
Inside the lab there was a tiny control room, with little whirring beeps and clicks that indicated whatever was happening in there was turned on. To the left of the control room was a sectioned off quarantine room, not unlike the ones in the main laboratories, but perhaps a tad more outdated. There was a short hallway connecting the two, but the space could, for the most part, be described as "small." Runes line every inch of the containment chamber on the outside, but the inside was, for the most part, free of runic markings. The control room had a fully functional keyboard and screen, outfitted with microphones and runic detailing.
Of course, all of this detail could hardly be noticed under thick layers of blood, entrails and general mysterious substances. The control was, for the most part clean, save for a few bloodsplatters across the walls and keys, as well as debris and trash indicating a struggle.
The containment chamber was where the true work remained. There was only one skeleton in the corner, but more than enough visceral body matter to indicate multiple halloween creatures had once been contained there. The walls were bruised, battered with the remnants of resistance.
The worst part was, inevitably, the stench. Ami had remained in the labs for far too long to be phased by it, but those untrained by years of experience would note the distinct smell of decaying flesh and bone.
"Welcome to your new job," Ami said monotonously. She let them take it in for a moment before continuing.

The only stranger here was Ami. But he supposed now that he knew the woman's name she was more of an acquaintance. Though she wasn't a very friendly person it seemed. All business, no fun. It was a common thing he came across. He gave Harlow a grin and silent wave. As they moved towards the labs, he leaned in to whisper in her ear. "Looks like its all business today." The labs were an interesting sight. But the first thing that his Zascha was the smell. He was used to all the guts and gore, not squeamish at all. But the smell was always what got to him. It brought back bad memories but he managed to keep it together. Pulling his red scarf up over his nose. When Ami spoke of this being their new job he glanced over at Harlow with a raised eyebrow.

Well she was extremely pleased that she was going to be working with some one that she knew. That made it just a little bit easier then working with some one that she didn't know, although she had a feeling there wasn't going to be that much talking going on between the two. She smirked to Zascha and then turned her attention to Ami. As they walked through the lab she was pretty surprised. It was a mess, and it looked like a horrible mess, and oh god that smell. She held her breath for a moment, but she breathed out. She knew she was just going to have to get used to it. As Zascha whispered to her she jumped, and then grimaced.
She was wondering why of all people they were picked for this, but she was just going to deal. She turned to Ami. She paused and then put her hands on her hips and looked around. Well this was going to be just a pleasant as cleaning fish. She looked at her and then spoke. "So where do we start?"

"First you will have to approach the mist hunters for their cleaning supplies. They can be ... rather touchy, with their materials," Ami explained. More like borderline rabid. It was weird. "Then you'll simply be scrubbing. I expect it to take no more than 6 hours. Any longer and I will begin docking your pay." That is to say, Ami knew it was impossible and wanted to lower her costs.
Such was the life of one dealing with a full life hunter. Ami looked to her cell phone, checking the exact time. "You are on the clock now, so I would begin immediately."OOC Step 1: RP out stealing your cleaning supplies from the mist hunters. Feel free to do this however you like. Bring in other players, or just rp solo with NPCs. Do you sneak past them, fight them for it? Are you a smooth talker? Treat this as a mini prompt and have fun with it! biggrin biggrin biggrin Step 2: CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Please use your NORMAL BATTLE DICE/STATS. The main containment chamber has 60 "HP" while the miniature control room has only 25 "HP." Each "attack" = a portion of the room cleaned. Special rules: Every post you make once you "begin cleaning" (IE, from your first attack roll for step 2), you have spent "5 minutes." IE, if you roll 3 attacks, you have spent 15 minutes. Remember you have SIX HOURS ( = 360 minutes) before you start losing money! If you are cleaning the control room, you need EXTRA PRECISION. If you roll above 8 damage, take 5 auto damage. Each time you miss, take 1 auto damage. You are overwhelmed by the grossness (or something of that nature) Ami has stepped out of the room (she has IMPORTANT HUNTER THINGS TO DO or something), but if you need her let me know. Please let me know if you need any other help! I will occasionally step in to post adjustments/random happenings if need be, but for the most part its up to you guys now!

Once Ami had left, Zascha's head rolled to the side to look at Harlow. A wide, s**t eating grin on his face. "You're Mist yea?" He wiggled his eyebrows with a laugh. "Guess its your turn to do the flirting." Oh boy, he couldn't wait for this. If only he knew how to work the video camera on his phone. He gave her a little nudge in the side with his elbow. "Might want to touch up your makeup a little. Remember to bat your eyelashes and pucker your lips like this." Clasping his hands he blinked his eyes really fast then puckered his lips in an extreme fashion.

She scrunched her face as he turned to look at her. She was a little confused why he looked so cocky at the moment. She narrowed her brows at him pretty suspicious on where he was going with this. "Yeah?" She answered cautiously, she had no clue where this was going to go but she was curious that was for sure. And what he said next made her cringe, "Oh god." she groaned and before she could finish his sentence she huffed and put her hand on her hip. "First of all," She started, a small grin was on her face but she was trying to stay as serious as she could. "My makeup is flawless. Second I don't think I have to do that thing with the lips." She grinned at him and then turned toward the door. "well I'm thinking the best bet is to just go and talk to them I think." Although her tone wasn't completely sure she was still thinking that just talking to them should work because she was a mist too (right?)

It was the reaction he was going for and she full on delivered. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself. "Awww you're no fun." Oh well. It would have been an amusing sight for sure. Although he was pretty sure she wouldn't have agreed to it in the first place. Even so. He rocked on the heels of his boots once. Lips tightening into a straight line briefly. "Well if you think that's the best way of going about it then lets get to it. I'll let you handle all the talking this time. Since you know, they are your buddies and all."

"Oh yeah, and you're a large slinky and a 20 foot staircase." She sneered and reached into her pocket pulling out her compact and taking a look into it quickly and then turning to him with a huff. "I told you my make up was flawless."
She stood up straight and nodded at him reaching for the door, before she walked through she paused, turning to look back at him. "You better be on your best behavior." She arched a brow at him. She crossed her arms in front of her. She knew a few others in the mist department so far but she didn't really know that many yet, and she sure as hell didn't want to mess up her chances of getting to know anyone that well already.Yayoi You okay with me bringing in some one who is in charge of the mist supplies? Darkheartedsorrows agreed to throw in a character for a few posts <3

"Now that's no fair. No one can be as fun as a slinky on the stairs. That's setting the bar too high in the fun rating." Zascha crossed his arms over his chest, jutting his hip just slightly to the side as his knee bent with a light huff. He tried to restrain a grin that threatened to creep across his face as she pulled out her mirror to check her makeup. Haha made her look!Oh man, now he was being told to be on his best behavior. That might prove to be a little difficult now that she made it a point of telling him. Clasping his hands behind his back, he let out an exasperated sigh, looking like a kicked puppy. "Yes dear."

Harlow raised a hand on her hip and then arched a brow at him giving him one of those 'really?' looks. She dropped her arm and then started to wander her way back toward the Mist lounge. She paused before she pulled open the door and then looked at Zascha. "Seriously though, best behavior don't get me all embarrassed in front of the people I have to work with." She trusted him but she still gave him the warning.
She then pushed open the door and started to wander toward the supply closest. She simply moved forward and then attempted to open the door, as she did though it didn't budge. The door was locked and she was unsure of how else to deal with it. She turned and looked around, kind of waiting for some one to say something to her about it.

Zascha straightened up and gave her an official salute. "Ok but I can't promise not to embarrass you with situations that are completely out of my control." He followed close behind her into the Mist lounge. Though as she crossed the room to the supplies closet he kept his distance. Hanging around the doorway, trying to look like perhaps he belonged there. Which his jacket clearly screamed he didn't.

Who would be in a Mist lounge? A Mist of course! Feng spun in surprise as the door opened, looking a little panicked. He wasn't sure what he really expected to walk through the door, but two trainees were far less terrifying than anything his imagination supplied.
A glance at their coats told him only one was Mist. "Uh, can I help you find something? If you're looking for something that is. If you're not I can just get out of your way. If that's what you want?"
Smoothest of the smooth.((Sorry guys, totally forgot about this. EDIT: I HECKED UP.))
