Basic Storyline?
In another world, there was a massive war between two twins for the throne of the world that practically almost torn the world apart before an agreement was made. The one who lost was banished, and to protect the world in the future, the ones who would be guardians were hidden away secretly by others to Earth either too young to remember or their memories wiped. Years pass...
Five individuals from various backgrounds have never met each other before, but the strings of fate have ironically brought them together to the same college. One night at a candlelight vigil, they find themselves in another world…
Anyway, one night when they gather for a campus wide candlelight vigil for some tragedy, they get sucked into the other world, where magic exists. They start to learn what's going on after being really confused and even discover affinities to certain elements. Eventually, they will learn that they are actually guardians, who are supposed to make sure the "king" doesn't ruin the world or mess up the balance of elements. So, after some convincing, they all go and try to stop the king.

Loki and Armand
Armand Orion Parr – Devil Sword – The Weapon of Mass Destruction – robotics engineer – The Last Guardian A long long time ago, the Other World was destroyed once by this weapon. He won’t do it again unless it’s absolutely necessary as it was last time, to purge the land and get it back to grow. He is the absolute last line of defense, and there’s nothing he can do about it if he’s needed again because he’s bound by an unbreakable oath.
Name: Armand Orion Parr Earth Occupation: Robotics engineer Other World Rank: The Final “Guardian” – DMage Sword Gender: Male Age: Unknown Affinity: Unknown Skills: Emulating a wall when being spoken to Weaknesses: Unknown Appearance: [A picture or description. Describe what your character looks like. Hair, eyes, height, maybe weight. Clothes style?] Personality: Armand has an amazingly long patience, but it’s to be expected after living so long and being forced into his role as the last line of defense. History: Armand left the Other World so he wouldn’t be found, and because he didn’t think he would be needed unless things got terribly bad. Other: He is bound by oath to purge the land if needed aka it reaches a certain state and Loki deems it so.
Loki – The Official Certifier He can sense if the world accepts the king as a ruler, but he sort of fell asleep for a really long time. He’s sick of living for so long and has a rivalry with Armand, but they are on two different levels.
o Loki: Well, yeah. You people couldn’t fix it last time, so we just wiped the world and started over.

The Reigning Twin = Current Regent The regent recently found out that the guardians were hidden on Earth, and has sent people to seek them out for help and sway them to join his side. Meanwhile, since he knows his twin has no memory, he wants the twin killed for a certain reason.
The regent wants to prove himself as the better of the twins and to mold the world to his liking, gaining power to make everything right and without conflict. He also wants to mold certain parts of the world that he doesn’t like.
When Cyrus was young, he was kidnapped. Casidy saved him, feeling that everyone else was taking too long to put together a rescue mission. It was during this time that Cyrus received a curse. The curse activates only while Cyrus is Regent. It’ll force him to berserk and kill Andrelia and Casidy on sight. He has no idea.
Cyrus(regent) and Casidy = names twins from old rp

The Banished Twin The twin who lost the war was banished to Earth as part of the agreement. However, he has no memory of his life in the Other World and knows nothing about it. His powers were also sealed, but he retains his fighting skills. The twin on the Earth now does not believe in other worlds or fantasy.
The Banished Twin’s Guard He/she is the banished twin’s faithful guard, who left behind his/her family in the Other World. Unlike the twin, the guard retains his/her memory, but cannot speak of anything about the Other World to the twin. This person just watches over the twin to make sure others from the Other World don’t accidentally do anything and also to make sure that the twin doesn’t get killed on Earth. He/she thinks the twin is too important to die.
As the twin's guard, you'll know everything you experienced in the Other World. You and the twin came over together to Earth once the twin was banished to be her companion and to watch over her. However, you did not know that she had lost her memories and powers until after crossing over. So, you had some help to get the twin settled into the world. Maybe you know some Other World people, or you had help from a red haired man who is acquainted with the twin. You can pick. You can arrange with dragon-talk (who's playing the twin) on if there's anything special about those adoptive parents of hers. Either way, you will stay close to her, and this is up to you. The guard could always be in the shadows without Casidy knowing that you're guarding her at all, or you could pretend to be a neighbor or something that has interaction with her. Oh, right, your character is going to have to try to explain the existence of another world and all that stuff to Casidy relatively close to the start of the roleplay. She's going to get attacked, and the safest place ironically to go is to the Other World.
In the Other World, somehow the guard was chosen to be the twin’s body guard. Could be due to merit and skill or a combination of those and something up to you. Everything was all peaceful and stuff until the war started for power between the two twins when the prior Regent died suddenly and threw the world into a ruckus. Your immediate family sided with Casidy (I’m saying immediate just in case you wanted to change that or someone else wanted to do something, and it wouldn’t be rare for families to split depending on which twin they support for various reasons.) After heavy losses on both sides, the twins reached an agreement, and the loser would be banished. Casidy lost and as agreed was banished. No one knows all the terms of the agreement besides Casidy and her brother, but I’m sure your character suspects memory loss and power seals weren’t part of it. You haven’t been in contact with the Other World since you left, so you don’t know the state of how things are. It’s been about 20 years.
Honestly, if you wanted a plot twist, you could later end up betraying Casidy for whatever reason. The two of you should trust each other almost completely, assuming memories are intact.
The Regent is not necessarily an evil person. He won the agreement because he was the one in the end who fixed one of the major problems with the land instability. He and Casidy didn’t see eye to eye on how to solve problems. That problem is going to come back.
The Resistance and Followers: These people are careful not to blatantly show their allegiance and are careful to keep everything a secret because they know the king strikes hard. - The Banished Twin’s Guard’s Sibling or Cousin: This person looks up to the guard as a role model. - The “Leaders” of the Resistance
Stuff with Banished Twin Casidy and Andrelia would have warped to Alister's area once they escaped from the assassin Denn. The guardians would end up split between the sides and would eventually learn their positions somehow. And Alister would betray the rebels at some point maybe because of Andrelia or whatever at some point, so the rebellions almost get crushed completely. The rebels would go and try to find a sleeping "god" who is an official certifier to say that Cyrus shouldn't be king. After getting through to this god, he tells them to find the weapon of mass destruction, the DMage Sword, which Casidy only knows the location to, in order to fight against the Regent and the Generals. This then makes everyone starts looking for it. In the mean time, the Regent's health has been faltering because the world is breaking and he is connected. Anyhow, DMage Sword is actually the "Final Guardian", the professor on Earth Armand aka the Devil Mage. Turns out the Regent decided to kill Casidy so no one could get their hands on the weapon, and so the world won't get destroyed again to save it. In the past, the DMage destroyed the world once already and hid himself away so that people would only look to him as a last resort. (He has a history on how he ended up becoming the DMage, but anyways). Anyhow, the DMage will destroy the world again and the "god" guy says the world is such a mess, might as well wipe it out and start again. So, the people have to convince him otherwise and yeah... that's all I had for sure. I cant predict the ending. Oh, and of course, there might have been another "evil/neutral" force in the background pulling strings.

Scythe de Zaran Name: Cyrus Darnell Bryliane, but people call him all manners of names from His Majesty, Regent, that scum bag, idiot, guardian, or whatever other names people have come up for him whether they make sense or not. Occupation: The Regent of the Other World Gender: Male Age: 127, but looks 22. Affinity: Cyrus is equally balanced in his magic and physical skills. He and his twin sister are mostly well rounded. (This is an exception for the twins) Because of the twins' link, both Cyrus and his sister are able to feel each other's general emotions when both are in the same world. Magic Specialty: A magic similar to telekinesis, [TBA] Clan of Mythical Creature: Human Skills: Bladeswork, Analyzing the big picture, Knowing how to make use of resources to solve problems, [TBA] Weaknesses: Don’t ask him to cook for you. Similar to his twin sister, he has issues with lots and lots of bugs, though he’ll try to hide it or hold a strong face when needed. Cyrus is suffering from some sort of ailment, though it isn't very noticeable right now. Also, he's not the world's greatest artist. Sometimes, his attempted drawings look like chicken scratch. He can at least manage to write and draw maps. Appearance: Cyrus in some casual clothes. Cyrus has red eyes, blonde hair, and is six foot tall. Weapon: Sword, Scepter which really can double as a spear (He doesn’t carry the scepter with him at all times for obvious reasons) Personality: Cyrus is a strong willed level headed, not too talkative type with a sort of charisma. He isn’t afraid to take chances, as is often the case, but he is aware of how everyone views him whether he likes it or not. Some of his “solutions” aren’t necessarily “good” at first impression because things often go bad before getting better. He also has a bit of a sense of humor. He’s down to earth in that way and will try not to show his disappointment when someone does something stupid, unless it’s really stupid or causes bad backlash. He’s pretty good at reading people’s action and composure as well as anticipating potential moves by adversaries. He’s more of a practical action taker than a talker, preferring to go straight to the source of the problem to solve it, and he still holds some sense of honor and justice. However, if someone happens to mention his sister, it will affect him, even if it’s not immediately obvious. Similar to his sister, he is good at keeping a strong face in the face of danger for others and himself or at hiding his pain. (With a certain general around, it’s probably a good idea he does that anyway.) Honestly, he could care less if people called him by his first name or by his title. Unfortunately, due to formalities and impressions, he has to put up with the name calling and formal dress. It’s something that helps maintain order. Honestly, he thought the war for power was stupid, especially when there were other issues to take care of. History: As part of a noble family, Cyrus was trained from a young age to be proficient physically and mentally in both magic and fighting. He often got into brawls either to protect his twin sister or was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. His sister wasn’t always so happy with him being that way. Once, Cyrus actually got kidnapped, and Cora herself led a rescue mission because she felt the others weren't moving fast enough. He and his sister got along for the most part, though they had their differences. For whatever reason, the previous Regent died suddenly, and a war for power dispute began, though Cyrus really isn't sure how it started to begin with. The situation got very bad, tearing the world apart and splitting families and clans down the middle among other physical Other World land problems and threats. Finally, the twins made an agreement, where the loser would be banished. Cyrus officially ascended the throne of the Other World about twenty years ago when the heir dispute was resolved with the banishment of his twin sister, Cora to Earth, when he won the agreement by solving the problems. As the Regent, he’s been trying to maintain order and clean up the mess caused by the war for power. Unfortunately, people that don’t agree with him being in power have been a constant thorn in the side, so he’s been taking them out when he can while continuing work to unify the world and fight back against some threats that people aren’t really noticing immediately. He’s begun to take a harder approach because he’s tired of “dealing with all this crap.” Other: Cyrus has a secret, but he might not even know it. Maybe it has something to do with a curse. When Cyrus was young, he was kidnapped. Cora saved him, feeling that everyone else was taking too long to put together a rescue mission. It was during this time that Cyrus received a curse. The curse activates only while Cyrus is Regent. It’ll force him to berserk and kill Cora and Cora's bodyguard on sight. He has no idea. Name: Genya “the Fearless” Thorinagano Position: Second year graduate student in life sciences Gender: Male Age: 20 Guardian/Affinity: Fire/Earth Skills: Genya is book smart and science smart. The only thing he’s great at when it comes to communicating is in techie talk. He’s good at measuring and being accurate when mixing or examining things. Have a science problem? He's your man... if he doesn't freak out before that. Weaknesses: Genya doesn’t have a lot of courage and he really sucks at fighting. His strength is lacking too. He’d rather run away than face fights. There’s also a 50% chance he’ll faint at the sight of at someone getting stabbed with blood gushing out of the wound, including getting stabbed himself…He’ll try to analyze everything scientifically if it doesn’t make sense to him, which could baffle other people into thinking he’s an oddball. Appearance: Genya has grayish eyes and he’s five foot tall. He dyed his hair blonde by accident. His real hair color is black/dark brown. Personality: He's innocent. Genya is quiet, normally somewhat of a skittish and skeptic coward with the exception of when some scientific topic comes up. However, if you ask him something about "scholarly" information, he may enlighten you confidently. On the other hand, Genya is very curious about things and will try to find out what he does not know… to the point of sometimes being oblivious of danger. To the irony, Genya’s brother coined him “the Fearless.” History: Genya was found and raised in Japan by the scholarly Thorinagano family. He is a bit of a prodigy and lived his life as a quiet and skittish boy, rescued from bullies by his older brother, and accelerating through his studies, graduating from college, and going immediately into graduate school. Currently, he’s on a scholarship at Waterloo but he helps pay for his living expenses and education by being a TA. One of the classes he TAs or substitutes for is an atmospheric science class. Other: His father supposedly committed suicide while on a business trip, or so says a letter, but no one in the family believes this and they are trying to investigate. --- Name: Myra Bagarth Occupation: Cora's bodyguard Gender: Female Age: 153 (looks 25) Affinity: Physical - has super strength Magic Specialty: Clan of Mythical Creature: Succubus Skills: Tempting/Seducing, Fighting Weaknesses: Locked up alone in closed spaces. Hard to control her strength when she's angry. The blonde guy and his butler. Hot guys. Appearance: Myra has golden blonde hair and light hazel eyes, which may sometimes turn red or have a reddish tint. She is 5' 9''. Myra is literally a succubus. Her succubus form has a tail and wings. Weapon:Giant claymore Personality: She’s a playful seductive temptress when she wants to be and often breaks up stale moments in meetings. She likes sleeping around. However, she has a nickname “Bloody Myra” for her tendency to violently spill and splatter large volumes of the enemy’s blood. She’s actually very violent. She likes to be independent, enjoys challenges, and hates being bored. She likes pampering herself to look pretty and graceful. She has a short temper, but she treats her job very seriously. History: Myra was abandoned by her parents, but learned to survive on her own...sort of. However, at one point, she was involved in an incident which deprived her of her memory. A certain blonde guy picked her up and took her with him to place her into prostitution. His untold excuse was to remind her of who she really was. Anyhow, fast forward, Myra ended up working for Will once he started making use of her potential after she beat up a ton of people with a pen. On one of the trips to the Otherworld, Myra and Cora happened to meet...and Cora ended up with a Myra as a bodyguard. Other:

Name: Cora Evangeline Rain (Bryliane) Occupation: Banished Twin Gender: Female Age: 127. Looks and thinks she's 22. Affinity: Like Cyrus, Cora is equally balanced in magic and physical skills. Also, because of their link as twins, they can feel each other's emotions while in the same world. Magic Specialty: Unknown Clan of Mythical Creature: Human Skills: Cora is quite good at drawing and dancing. Weaknesses: While she can be quite clever, Cora can fail to see the big picture sometimes. She is the type to focus on the smaller details. She is terrified of bugs and will often scream at the sight of a moth. Also, having no memory makes it rather hard to remember what you once knew. Like spells for instance. Appearance: X Cora is a natural blond, but prefers to keep it a reddish gold to match her eyes. Weapon: Enchanted rapier that doubles as a wand. Personality: Cora can be impatient and impulsive. She is not afraid to take action or risks. Something that likely annoys Myra to no end. She has a great eye for details. Like her brother, she keeps cool in the face of danger and can hide pain well. (Bugs are the exception). Whenever she's asked if she has any siblings, she always feels like there should be someone, she just can't remember who. History: Cora has no memory of her past. Myra told her she hit her head, and it gave her amnesia. Fair enough. Doesn't explain why she owns a rather medieval looking sword and knows how to use it. Or why when she draws it's always of the same strange world that she sometimes see in her dreams. Just a wild imagination she's told. Nothing more. Other: TBA Name: Andromeda (Andi) Steward Position: 3rd year undergraduate in atmospheric sciences. Gender: Female Age: 19 Guardian/Affinity: Air/Water Skills: While not a prodigy like her fellow guardian, Andromeda is quite smart in her own right. Having grown up in an adoptive home with 4 older brothers, Andi grew up to be quite strong with one mean punch. Despite her boyish nature, she's also exceptional at sewing and needlework. Weaknesses: Andi isn't good in situations that require any amount of tact or careful planning. She will act now and ask questions later. She really not good in enclosed places either. Small rooms, staircases, etc etc. All of it gives her the shivers. Appearance: X Andromeda almost always has her hair cut short. Her eyes are blue. She tends to wear whatever is comfortable. Usually being pants and a button down shirt. Personality: Andi has a rough and tumble sort of personality. She will charge head first into most situations and just generally go with the flow of things. She adapts well to new situations. And she will say whatever she thinks at the moment she thinks it. History:Andromeda grew up in a loud though loving home with four older brothers and two loving parents in Italy. Being the youngest, one would probably expect her brothers to be overprotective. Well that would be half right. From the time she could walk Andromeda would follow her brothers everywhere. She idolized them, did everything just like them. That all changed when she was 15. Her parents weren't getting along anymore and decided it was best to separate. Her mom took a job in Canada, and took Andi with her. Her brothers, all being of age by that point, decided to stay in Italy. Andi went back to Italy at least once a year for visits. But otherwise she settled into her new life in Ontario well enough. When she graduated high school she started going to the University of Waterloo, studying in atmospheric sciences. Andromenda was busy with university when her mom decided it would be a good time to visit her brothers. Her mom went to Italy...and never came back. Other: Nothing for now. Name: Bastion Aquileon Occupation: General and Advisor to the Regent Gender: Male Age: 175. Looks about 27. Affinity: Physical Magic Specialty: Earth. In particular the manipulation of rare minerals. Clan of Mythical Creature: Grifin Skills: He's a good talker. He can make almost anything sound like a good idea. What he lacks in magic he gains in speed in strength. Lastly he has a great mind for strategy. Weaknesses: Weak magic ability. Is narrow minded to his own wants. His fighting ability is severally hindered if for some reason he can't fly. Appearance: Human Form True Form Bastion has black hair and almost always is wearing some mix of armor and robes. When he take true form he is roughly twice the size of a human, and any clothes he happens to be wearing transforms itself accordingly. Weapon: Claws Personality: Arrogant, selfish, and manipulative. Bastion is a prideful man who seeks power among all else. He sees himself as Regent in all but name. And yet, there is a kindness in him. He has a soft spot for Cyrus, much in the way you might get attached to a person after being with them for so long. It does not stop him from twisting Cyrus for his own needs, but he would never intentionally harm Cyrus. He also has a soft spot for those at the bottom, those who might desire more in life but are so far down their chances are slim. History: Bastion was born to the pride of griffins in the eastern mountains. More animal then human, the pride lived simple lives. Hunting, migrating. They kept to their own. As a boy curious of the world, Bastion started to explore out from the mountains. Adopting a human form for the first time to explore the villages near the Regents kingdom. It was fascinating. Humans lived such a different life, and their ranks were wide and numerous. He saw how the higher ranks got everything they wanted, just because of who they are. Seeing also that the whole world seemed to run on wealth, Bastion began to use his scant magic to make gems to sell at market. With more money, he gained more respect. He started to form a name for himself, make connections among the elite. But a wealthy merchant was not what he wanted. He wanted more. Through various connections, Bastion secured himself a place on the royal guard. He was quick and vicious and battle. Skills they could use. Skills he used to move through the ranks until he was just under the generals. And then the deaths began. Nothing suspicious. Accidently choking on a soup bone here. Ambushed by bandits there. Falling on ones own sword. That sort of thing. Eventually there was no one else to lead the Royal guard. And Bastion was the highest qualified. Despite the vast personal risk it was to himself (generals were dropping like flies after all) Bastion agreed to be General and Advisor to the Regent. And then the Regent died. Bastion immediately took the young heir under his wing, and supported his taking of the throne. The world was in shambles and the Cyrus had the knowledge and wisdom to fix it, with much of Bastion's advise. He could not risk completion though. Oh no. Cora was strong headed and didn't agree with Bastion. She had to go. So an agreement was made and Bastion foresaw victory. Though, even on earth she was still a threat. Perhaps he should have something done about that... Other:

Random notes about stuff.
i'm going to just make up stuff now and say... in a perfect otherworld...the guardians and the regent work together to make sure everything is in harmony
And someone wanted to disrupt that harmony?
why not just keep the guardians away and then bring them back and take credit for saving the world?
