Persephone sat on a bench between two stores, taking a sip of the coffee she'd purchased before going out on patrol. She'd been asked to patrol with a first-stage Corrupt whose name was eminently familiar to her.
Azurite. She still remembered desperately gasping for air under her attack, and seeing her at the attack on Team Cornucopia. And yet she held no ill will - they had been enemies then, but certainly now things would be better. After all, Persephone had chosen the correct side!

Azurite could spot that green hair a mile away, and blind. Even in her mind, green meant one thing. Persephone. Despite knowing full well that the shorter corrupt could sense her, Azurite crept up on the bench as quietly as she could. Fingers wriggling for a second before she sprang, snatching the coffee cup and taking a sip for herself. "Perseph-o-cutiiiiiieeee.." She sing songed, grinning as she stole another sip before handing it back. "It's uh, been a while."

Persephone did indeed feel the other Corrupt coming, and she laughed when Azurite plucked the coffee out of her fingers. "It's good to see you, too," she said, and it was easier to take the nickname in stride when Azurite wasn't trying to murder her. Once she recovered her coffee, she stood up, walking aorund the bench. "How have you been?"

"I've been... uhm. It's been crazy. Let's just go with that." She had had ups and downs, big time... Was there even an acceptable way to describe everything she'd been through in the last few months? "How about you? I thought I saw you at the...Dark Mirror... Thing." Azurite shifted awkwardly and resisted the urge to rub at her wrist.

Persephone took a sip of coffee, and then flinched at the mention of the White Phoenix battle. "Yeah, I was there. Uh, for the Mirror," she clarified. "Pretty specifically for Leto, but," she waved a hand, "I didn't realize you were there."
She'd been occupied, between killing Galvatronite and saving the Princess's life.

"I um.. Didn't do much. My magic would have done more harm then good in that werehouse. I ended up talking with Athene and then well." She shrugged, showing off her wrist. "One thing lead to another and that was that. So..." She asked, waving a hand. "When did this happen? Cause I know for a fact last time we talked I was the only one sporting hair long enough to drag on the floor..."

Persephone felt her heart clench for a moment when she saw the burn on Azurite's wrist, swallowing. "Oh. I see." So Azurite had been with Wolframite. Had been one of those signed up to try and destroy the Mirror. "Uhm. Late December," she said. "After...after my team got attacked. That same night, actually. I chose it."

"For the record. I normally have no problem with the Dark Mirror. I was doing what I thought where just orders. I didn't know it was his own vendetta." Azurite blinked a few times before shrinking awkwardly and rubbing the back of her neck. "Uhm... I'm sorry for that too... Is the blonde kid okay? The one I had...er, threatened."

Persephone exhaled. "It was a mess," she said. "Good to know you don't hate them, though, or this would be even more awkward." She laughed softly. "Dionysus is fine. Angry, but he's alive."

"I think a mess is an understatement... But, in a way, we've all learned from it... So perhaps it was a much needed mess." If that made any sense at all... It had opened her eyes atleast. Azurite was learning to look before she lept into things. "Can you really blame him for being angry though?"

"I don't blame him one bit for being angry," Persephone acknowledged, and she looked incredibly sad for a long moment. "I'm glad he is, really, because it means he isn't in the place I was. Despair is awful, Azurite - don't let yourself get caught up in it."

"Too late.." Azurite murmured as she glanced down at her wrist for a moment. "I've been there and I've done that... I won't be going there again." Gently she reached up and touched the edges of a tattoo that poked out just above the top of her fuku's fuzzy collar. "I can't go back. I have people I want to protect."

Persephone nodded. "That's a good way to think of it," she said. There were people counting on both of them. There had been people counting on her even when she was Order, and she had failed them completely.

"It's what I hafta tell myself." She blinked when Persephone mentioned walking around. "...Alright... Though I don't know if we'll find anything." An eternal and a basic together? Maybe they'd catch a knight atleast.. but anything thing else would run in their right mind.

Persephone nodded, and she started walking, taking a drink from her coffee. "I don't expect to run into anyone except maybe an unlucky civilian or two, so since it sohuld be a quiet night, why don't you tell me more about what you've been up to?"
