Why did it seem like she was always late? Great way to make an impression Laine... At least this time they were just getting coffee.. But she still felt bad. ...Even if the official time was "around noon-ish". ...Maybe it hadn't been the smartest idea to get her siblings involved in helping her get ready... The girls had taken way to long on braiding her hair, and Laine specifically remembered asking not to go over board when sticking flowers in her hair... Though she had to admit. What they had done wasn't too horrible. The door's bell rang lightly as she opened it, scanning the building for date buddy. She had to fight the urge to keep from biting her lip, unless she wanted to get blue lipstick all over her teeth. Talk about awkward. It was a bit more crowded then she had expected... Laine really hoped that wouldn't be a turn off.. Though then again, just cause they got coffee here, didn't mean they couldn't take it somewhere else... Her eyes lit up when she finally found him. Good... He was here, he hadn't left or anything.. She smiled and waved, the bangles on her wrist jingling a bit. "Sorry I'm late." Laine apologized. "Were you waiting long? I didn't realize it would be so crowded. We can, um, go find another place if you want??"

Kor was dressed in a pair of black pants and a green muscle shirt because it was hot. His dreads were tied back like she'd seen him do at the tattoo parlor but this time all his piercings were in and more of his tattoos exposed. The muscle shirt he wore ended in a 'v' on his chest, showing off the start of another tattoo on his chest. One he didn't go out of his way to show people. It was personal, old, obviously faded. He had a chain hooked from one of his from belt loops that draped to the back connected to his wallet in his back pocket. He was waiting for Laine within the crowded building but he didn't mind. People gave him glances, girls giggled, maybe even pointed, but he was used to that. He was a tall guy with piercings and tattoos everywhere. It happened. Humming to himself he grinned when he saw Laine and she waved. He raised his hands and wiggled his fingers at her before she wandered over to him. "It's best to wait until the crowd dies down a bit, yeah?" He laughed a little more and took hold of her hand, guiding her to a table. "We can wait until it does."

"You look nice." She said, trying not to stare too much. He looked different with all his piercings in, and tattoos showing. A good different. "Yeah... Next time I'll be sure to fine out the stores busiest hours and avoid them." The girl murmured as she stuck as close as possible. When he took her hand, she fought to control the blush that crept to her face "Er, so uh. How have you been?" She asked awkwardly. Smooth.

He did? Kor looked down at himself and blinked a little before grinning. "Well.. Right back at'cha darlin'," he drawled out, giving her a wink. Finding one of the small empty tables, he sat Laine down first and then himself, tossing dreads off is shoulder and pushing bangs out of his face. "Me? Oh, you know, busy. Paperwork won't do itself, unfortunately." Kor did notice her blush, but decided commenting on it would be torture and he didn't want to embarrass her just yet. They hadn't ordered, after all! "How's the tat healing?"

"No I don't. I feel over dressed.." She sighed. It was just coffee, why had she gone so overboard? Ugh... Too late now. "It's healing alright.. A little worried about this dress though... Maybe I should have worn something that didn't lay across it.. Oh oh! I forgot. I talked to my parents! And they seem pretty okay with the idea of me working outside of the family business!" She grinned. "So maybe you won't hafta do all that paperwork yourself."

"Please. You're not over dressed at all. You're... looking really good. Makes me want to go somewhere other than coffee. Maybe dancing. ..I'll take you clubbing." He grinned at that. Clubbing was fun because he'd get to dance with her and touch her in public and it'd be fine. Kor just hummed a little more and looked her over again before tuning back in. "Oooh? Good. 'cause I'm still looking and you know, you're still the only one who's actually been interested in even asking about it."

"Oh honey, I have an entirely different outfit for that sort of thing." She grinned. Or two, but who was counting. "I am entirely over dressed for coffee atleast." Maybe if she didn't have the girly flowers... or so much make up. "But that sounds fun. We should definitely go sometime." Then she grinned. "Yeah well.. Maybe with a girl in the window you might start getting some more people?" Just having her there benefited Kor. She was another pair of hands to tackle tasks. They would get twice as much done and twice as fast. "All it takes is one right?"

"Maybe... Especially a pretty one." He just grinned at her and then shifted to push a hand through her bangs and then shrugged. "I dunno, I think coffee isn't judgmental, even if it was, you shouldn't care. But, what kind of coffee do you like? Is it one of those super fancy ones that take like three minutes to order? Those always interest me. If it is I'm going to steal some to see what the hype is."

"Mmm... Depends on your definition of pretty.. Let's just say that I'm often asked how I even managed to fit in them." They were tight and definitely let her show off what curves she had. Laine blinked before blushing as Kor messed with with her bangs. "Uhm yeah, it's totally one of those fancy ones." She laughed. "You can totally have some."

Kor may have been flirting kind of thick here. Maybe. Still, he laughed as she said it was a fancy one and he just rolled his eyes. "I'm getting iced coffee because it's to hot for anything else." What nodded firmly as if telling himself that's exactly what he was going to get. "...So after this, anywhere you want to go? Movies? Dancing? Stroll in the park?" He hadn't really planned much and it was his first actual date in a while, so he felt rather out of practice. He didn't stop playing with her bangs, now trying to push them all around on her head, making himself laugh if nothing else. If she fretted, he had a comb, she could fix it easily.

"I think you'd like the outfit though." She grinned. "You'd definitely have fun with it I think.." She laughed as he rolled his eyes and said what he wanted. "Oh it is not too hot! Come on tough guy, you can take a little bit of heat." Laine laughed as she shoved at his arm gently. "Hmmm I don't know? The walk might be a good idea. You did say you wanted to learn a few things.." And she wasn't entirely sure how much learning they'd get done while watching a movie or dancing. ...Though on second thought.. "You're having way to much fun playing with my hair." She grinned.

"Hey I have an idea, shut up." He huffed and just tugged on her bangs a tiny bit before starting to put them back into place. "I am a big man, I just would rather drink something cold on a hot day. I've gotta cook you know. Dying from dehydration is bad, also heat stroke." He chuckled and just tapped her on the nose when he was done before shrugging. "So about getting to know one another.. I don't have family. Never knew 'em. Don't have any close friends anymore. Got myself out of a horrible situation and now I'm living in Destiny City with my own tattoo shop." That was basically the low down. "Feel free to ask about anything."

"Mmm sounds to me like we need to get you somewhere cool." She teased, sticking her tongue out when he abandoned her hair. "I certainly don't want you passing out from heat stroke, or worse. "Hmmm perhaps they should go to the beach or something.. Laine blinked as he gave her the down low, and she stared for a moment, silent. "Okay, for starters: Dude that sucks. Second... I can guarantee you one of those things you just said is false." Then she propped an arm up on the table, contemplating what she'd want to ask. "...Are there any topics I should avoid asking about?" Seemed like a safe place to start.

He arched a brow at her and shook his head. "I don't lie, Laine," he murmured seriously, crossing his arms over his chest as he pondered the question. Kor was fairly open about his life and so, with a grin that came easily to him, he shook his head. "Open book. I'm an open book for you, yeah? Got nothin' to hide."

" I'm not." She said just as seriously as she shimmed closer to him and linked her arms with his. "You have me now dumbass." Even if this was just their second encounter. "I'll be as close as you want me to be." Laine said she rested her head on his shoulder and looked up at him. "I'm not going anywhere Kor. Promise." She squeezed his arm gently, hoping he believed her. "How come you don't know em?? Adopted?" She asked carefully. She wouldn't touch the other subject. Laine had a feeling that wasn't coffee talk as it was.
