The streets of the city held an energy that pulsed despite the late hour. Poke'mon frittered to and fro between alley ways like the humans that never left the shadows. Hours like this were when the Night Clubs and Casinos were at their peek. But it wasn't in the night district where the true action was taking place. Rather, it was far below.
By word of mouth news of an underground fighting circuit had sprung up. Because the location shifted as fast as the wind itself the Police had yet to catch any of the culprits. Some claimed that it was a Poke'mon fighting pit because of the snarling and howls, but all that had been found were scuff marks by human boots.
Solange stood on the edge of the frey, rotating her shoulders as a fight raged on. It was between two big brutish guys, neither of which seemed to want to accept defeat even if they were only scrapping with each other at this point. She was supposed to be at work. She'd skipped more nights than she should have, and even if she had dropped down to part time hours someone would catch on soon enough. The fact was the money she made here was more than she got up top. It was hard, fast money - blood money. So far she had been able to come home with less bruises and scraps than the other guys which was easy enough to pass off, but she knew she was playing a loosing game. Urban wasn't stupid.
Taking care to wrap her fists, Solange stepped up to the hole in the crowd that had been deemed a 'ring'. As the other two cleared out she stepped up, raising a fist to the cheering in the crowd. She wore nothing more than a bandaged top, a pair of low slung yoga pants and worn sneakers. It was less to get in her way, but she didn't like the leer from her opponent. He was even slimier than the last.
"Tap out now, and I might take you back with me." He winked, dipping down into a defensive stance.
Solange curled her lip, lowering herself into an offensive pose. "You'll have to beat me first, red." She couldn't help grinning as his face turned a shade nearly as bright as his hair. That is, before the whistle was blown and he came straight for her. She charged in, fist raised and a challenge her eyes.

He'd been living in something of a mental fog for almost two months. Rage, and sorrow filled his mind. Sure, he had stretches of time where he was slightly more lucid than others, more in touch with his mind, but they weren't common. He was sure Solange had been worried about him while he'd been on his mental vacation, but really after all the s**t that had happened in the last half year or so it was no wonder he'd finally snapped. That was a lot to have happen in such a short time span. So, it was no wonder that despite being back to "normal" he still wasn't back to work....and found he had too much free time on his hands. He needed something to fill his days, and so he'd taken to walking around the city while Solange was at work. As he wandered he'd begun to hear rumors of the underground fighting circuit that moved around to avoid the cops...and he pondered going. It would be entertaining to watch, if not participate in. Finally after a few weeks of pondering this, all the while Solange coming home with varying injuries, and stories on how she got them...all of which were believable to him...he just asked her to be more careful at work was all... he finally had a place to go for the fight. Dressing in dark clothes so he'd blend in with the night, he made sure he wore a hoodie so it could be drawn up over his head, and he could hide in the shadows it created for him. Standing near the back of the ground he still towered over most and he could see the fighting arena clearly. It woke something in him. Something primal. There was a new guy in the ring, and he was watching him, had pondered getting into the ring....when the newcomer made him stop. Someone had beaten him. Their back was to him, but he couldn't help but narrow his blue eyes, scrutinizing. Looks familiar.... he started to move through the crowd, ignoring the jostling, and swearing as he pushed people aside. He still stayed just far enough back that he'd be mostly lost in the sea of people, a few others were close in height to him, so he wasn't a sore thumb sticking out. "It can't be..." the words a low murmur that he couldn't hear over the crowd as he watched intently. Painted Moose There's a solo in his journal touching on him losing his s**t.

It was hard coping with a husband who was on a rampage. Though he never came for her, it still hurt knowing he was having to fight this out alone. Nothing she ever said seemed to sink in for long, not like Jayme or Cameron. She would be lying if she said she wasn't jealous of that bond at times, but never enough that she would deny Urban from having it when he needed them the most. She'd poured herself into work, fighting hard to keep the two of them in the green. Groceries, bills, fuel, replacements for broken property...It had been getting to her before she'd found this place.
Solange ducked another punch, and swept her leg out to knock her opponent on his a**. He was fast, though. Before she could fully retract he grabbed her ankle and pulled her down, then rolled on top of her with a punch aimed for her face. When flesh met flesh the crowd erupted in a fit of cries, and Solange had to force herself not to scream. She spat out a tooth and a wad of blood before finally pushing him off her in a fit of rage. Like hell she was going to let him beat her! She needed this money and the release that came with it. The two rolled around, tossing and punching when they could before she pinned the b*****d to the ground and really let him have it.
By the time she was done his face looked like a beaten wad of dough. She leaned back, still straddling him, and exhaled deeply. Her face was already beginning to bruise and her jaw was throbbing. There were cuts to her ribs, but nothing too major. Nothing she couldn't explain off with some excuse or another.
"We have a winner!" The hype man came and offered her a hand, which she took to stand up with. As the crowd cheered she wiped off her jaw. "Snips has it! Isn't there any one of you that can take down this gal? Surely there has to be one!"
She hoped to hell there wasn't. That fight alone had paid off her rent for the month.
"Well, we'll give her a rest for a round if there's no takers and bring out our next combatants." Lirilei I saw his entry! Oh man I was a little too excited for your response after reading that haha.

Urban wasn't one to strike women, even with the job he had. He might be big, and tough and all but women...hell who was he kidding most people were more breakable than he himself was, so he did try to be careful when dealing with people in a physical way. His eyes narrowed seeing the woman on the ground, getting beaten up but he stayed out of it, it wasn't his fight after all! Once she gained the upper hand, his concern and interest both began to wane. Even once they asked for anyone else to come into the ring to fight. It went back to being a woman, he wouldn't want to cause more harm than was needed. However it was that name that caused him to stiffen up, head jerking up. "Snips?" the name was growled and he was pushing through the crowd then, ignoring the nasty snarls thrown his way, blue eyes flashing. Painted Moose I might add more to it, but I knew I needed to get it in there and now seemed a good time. *snicker*

Solange rolled her shoulders, wincing at the ache beginning to show. It was a good burn though that had her veins racing in anticipation for her next match. So far no one had stood up, but there would be one come fight time. There always was. Some jackass that thought he could take down a woman, and 8/10 he always had his butt handed to him. The other two....those were the worst hits to her ego.
Even as she moved away from the pit she saw a figure moving through the crowd. It was hard not to with the way that everyone was tossing curses his way. At least she assumed it was a he. With a hood like that she couldn't really tell. Maybe it was the next fighter?
Solange didn't get far into the crowd when something started to nag at her. Could it...? No, surely not. Cameron or Jayme, someone, anyone was supposed to be with Urban. She'd tried to make sure of it. She shook her head. There was just no way.

Urban wasn't the next fighter, but the guy calling the matches sure seemed to think he was. Coaxing him into the makeshift ring and all...and with a rumbling growl, he assented, and moved into the middle waiting on his opponent to join him. It took several moments for a man to enter in as well. Talking to them, the announcer's voice rang out again. "We have Stitches versus Steel!" Urban smirked at the name he'd chosen at random. Steel seemed fitting, and a play on his type and all. He kept the hood up over his head even as the fighting started. He let the guy get a few good knocks in before he knocked him flat with a single punch, though as he started to get up he whipped around his tail catching the guy in the stomach and sending him flying. "And the winner is Steel! Anyone out there willing to fight the big guy who laid his first opponent out in less than two minutes?"

Solange lingered behind a few spectators. She'd been offered a ziploc back of ice for her face, which she tended to unconsciously while she watched. Rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet, she watched this 'Steel' with a curled lip.
As soon as she saw the tail, however, Solange dropped her ice onto the dingy floor. She curled her clawed hands into fists, slicing her palms with a grip tight enough to break a mans neck. There had barely been a gap between the time Stitches went down, and when Snips stepped up to bat.
"Oooh, this should be good!" At least the announcer knew when to step out of her way. Solange's ears were flat against her head, tail swaying back and forth in agitation. She dropped into an offensive stance, and tilted her head, waiting for Steel to come at her.

The moment she stepped in front of him, Urban was tense. It was Solange, as he'd guessed the moment he heard the name Snips. What the blue blazes was she doing here in a place like this!? ....Then it all slammed into him in comprehension. The bruises. The injuries. She'd been fighting for the last several weeks. He'd been so out of it, he hadn't noticed. He'd accepted the lies she'd fed him. A growl rumbled up in his chest, and his policy of not fighting women went out the proverbial window. He gave a low laugh, face still masked by the hood, and when he spoke, his voice was pitched deeper than usual, gravely almost. "Pretty pup come out to play huh? Going to get your a** handed to you babe"Oh yes, he was taunting her, more so as he finally reached up and yanked the hood down, eyes glinting as he looked her over. The look in his eyes was clear. We're going to have a long talk about this once we get home tonight. The smirk widened to a grin and he relaxed his stance a hand shooting out...and he motioned her forward. "Bring it, Snips."

Solange gave him a challenging howl that ended in a snarling growl. If she was supposed to take it easy on this man because she thought of who he might be, then fooey on that! She hadn't spend these past few months stepping on egg shells in her own ******** home for nothing. If she was going to stop herself from yelling at her husband or worse, one of the girls at work, then she needed to focus and win.
But she couldn't stop the hiss of realization that slipped out when he removed his hood. Solange's growl became rougher, more coarse as she snapped at him. What was he doing here?! Did Jayme know about this? Or Cameron? Were they all playing her for a fool?! She felt a shiver go down her spine that she tried to shake off. "Looks like I'll just have to steal it back from you."
Even as she spoke a dark fire started to build up around her fangs. There was no reason to hold back in a fight against one of her own kind, and definitely not against Urban.
She rushed towards him, dropping down to her hands in a capoeira stance to toss up a kick that came on the wings of a Flamethrower.

The howl made him chuckle some, he could see she was riled up. Good. That would make this interesting. He could tell she was mad at him, and he did feel a bit guilty about that, but still...he was here, she was here. They could work through it this way. "You know where to find me to do just that babe." he couldn't help but grin at her, knowing he was riling her up. The fire building up around her fangs was good proof of that. He bent backward barely missing getting kicked by just a scant amount of distance, feeling the heat from the fire close to his face. With his own growl he straightened up, tail glowing behind him as he began to spin, Iron Tail in full effect.

"Shut it!" Her fire gained force, creating such a large spire that it touched the top of the tunnel. Several spectators started moving away, unsure of whether or not they wanted to stay for the fight, but too invested to truly leave.
She spun, using her palms to push her body into the air, barely sailing over his tail before her flip landed her in a crouched position. Solange had felt his Iron Tail hit her braid, and the wind from the attack came too close to her skin for her comfort.
Without waiting for a second move, she moved in with a round house kick meant for his torso. Lirilei This song came on my playlist when I was writing lol. I think it's kind of appropriate.

Oh good, he was pissing her off. All the better. The last few months had been pretty shitty for the two of them, though he realized probably her more than him. She'd had to deal with him having snapped and lost his s**t for awhile. The fire was an impressive sight, and he merely grinned a wink given to her as he spun, watching as she jumped over his tail. He was quick to turn, and he let out a Roar even as he slammed a booted foot heavily to the floor to use Earthquake, fingers flexing and knuckles popping while he lunged towards her, electricity crackling around him as he prepared to use Thunder Wave. ...only to catch her foot to the chest and he stumbled back a few steps, roaring again but a grin played over his lips. Working their frustrations out like this could prove to be very therapeutic. Even as they fought he could hear loud bets being made on the outcome of this fight, and he was having a hard time telling who was being thought of as the under dog. He had size over her, but she had speed. Painted Moose Sorry for my delay on a reply. Just...life. Yeah. Great song *l*

Lirilei No, no, it's fine! RL comes first! And oh yeah, love the song. ;o; Solange was going to throttle Urban as soon as she could catch the SoB! Every punch, kick and dodge was accompanied by a bark, a growl...something primal that seemed to pour out of her like lava.
She stumbled, barely catching herself after his Roar and further falling after managing to kick him. It saved her an electric hit, but the roll she took to avoid falling on her a** also put her in a more vulnerable position.
Solange lashed out with Fire Fang, intent on biting into Urban's shoulder as she rushed him with a punch to his gut.

Painted Moose My brain has melted into my feet with this heat. Ugh Urban grinned some as she stumbled away from him as he Roared, and he was honestly pleased she managed to dodge the electric attack he sent her way. In fact he was gloating a bit, had half turned his back on her, when he felt her biting his shoulder. Felt the fire pouring over it, and he Roared again, hands reaching for her, to rip her off him, and toss her across the ring. As her attack connected, the hit to the stomach made him double over to the cheers of the crowd. It was amusing them to see such a big guy being taken down by a woman. He growled again, tail lashing again in anger. "Get off me!"

His roar reverberated down her sensitive ears. It was painful, to say the least! She held one with all of her strength, pouring on the flames until his tail caught her in the mid section. It knocked the wind out of her and flung her away from him onto her side several feet away.
Her mouth was still a flame when she sat up, the left side of her face dotted with blood thanks to a cut in her head from the fall. As the fire died down she prepared for another attack. "YOU'RE SUCH A SHITTY HUSBAND." Enraged she stood up and cracked her knuckles. She felt like crying from frustration, but she couldn't do that here. "You freak out on me, and I try to give you space, then you come here? What the hell is wrong with you?!"
