So today at school some girl decided to make the Sara and Chelsea Hate Club. Yeah, since I'm Sara it was sort of mean but the girl and I don't like each other (when I really didn't do anything to her but she was mean to me and my friends so I don't like her).
Then she called me goth.
Dude, the only dark color I was wearing was on the strap of my purse. Afterward she called me fat, but her "goth" insult was so stupid that any insult she threw at me was automatically stupid.
Any thoughts about harrassment at school?

Hate clubs and the like are considered harassment and are profoundly illegal in public schools. They could get expelled or at least suspended for such actions. I would say, talk to the principal about this behavior. It is not at all appropriate, and they should be punished so they learn not to hate on people.

How old are they? 11-12?
I think it's rather sad that people have the need to try and form such clubs or even bully (in all senses of the term) just to feel better about themselves or somewhat 'superior' to anybody.
I mean, I was bullied in primary school by some girls in a grade ahead of me for no real reason. Otherwise I was teased about being fat. In High School, I was told ONCE "What the hell do you think you doing here?" when I arrived at class after break by a bunch of people in the class and broke down in tears...a year later (due to an amalgamation of factors too) I ended up in therapy, adopted my ******** attitude that I carry today, and turned "scary" to other people. I never got irritated by anybody again. Except whenever they walked up to me and gasped with disbelief that I smoke cigarettes. Irrits. talk2hand
Guessing the age you're at now, they're trying to be the s**t. They must feel insecure and may want the attention in order to feel special in some way...I would suggest giving her a hug and saying "There, feel better now?" Not only would the ******** be interesting, but I'm sure she'd stop her s**t.
Otherwise if you are vindinctive such as I, take it up with the principal and nuke her a** with the law man!

I agree with the hugs for the sake of mind ********. Not the wisest option, but by far the strangest. Go for it!

I vote for just letting the Principal know. Just report it (there's standard methods for doing so), move on, see how long it lasts. Most likely, they'll start to get scrutinized, and even if they're not suspended for it, they won't be able to go anywhere with it. Collective harassment is generally considered far worse.
Also, post flyers with a Google image of a goth compared to an image of yourself. Add as many "omgz" as possible so that you're talking on their level.

Heh, I used to get bullied too, and I've already adopted a "******** you" attitude. She really just did that to piss me off and failed.
Horribly.
And I didn't want advice, I wanted your thoughts about people who harrass others...

Spiffy Negligee And I didn't want advice, I wanted your thoughts about people who harrass others... I didn't give any advice, but the hug thing is pretty cool, no? Anyways, I think people who harrass others automatically lose the right to not being smacked and gain the responsibility of facing a good smacking for every act of harrassment.
Seriously though, I think they don't know how it feels on the recieving end, so people should just counter stalking with stalking, in less serious cases, of course.

Sorry for the confusion Spiffy! It's natural for us to protect people we like and know, even if they haven't said they have a problem...although my best friend is sure not normal in this regard, but would make a pretty remarkable actress then sweatdrop
Also, speaking about advice, I remember when I was bullied in school, my mother kept tellin' me to tell my bullies and/or teasers to "Take it from whence it comes". Confused the crap out of me and worked on them too...and worked pretty well later on when people ******** me off (I get beyond the point of being "pissed off" now stressed )

Hate clubs are for immature kids. They're no better than five year old boys makeing a "No Girls Allowed" club. Don't worry about it, unless they spread lies about you. Then you sue for slander.
